Derek Bryant - 1979
Surreal back to back white whales....
A's OF with 120 PAs in his only season in the bigs...... simarc, and I was so close to buying an A's yearbook and then boom! TV makes a splash.... IMO, a huge banner day with these consecutive postings by them....For now, I'll forgive the Broberg Cub snub.... Last edited by hobbs11; 02-19-2015 at 05:40 PM. |

Fred Bruckbauer 1961
Would you make this trade? Spend your life trying to reach the majors - the team you sign with suddenly moves to your home town and you make their first opening day roster!
And they bring you in for your first game and you...get nobody out. Four men up, four men on and they score and they take you out and send you to the minors and you never get back. You are thus left as one of only 19 big league pitchers ever to compile an ERA of infinity. That was the trade Fred Bruckbauer got. He's at the tail end of the Topps Vault posting today. |

One More: Tom Bruno 1976
Seldom seen in any uniform, this is him with the 1977 Blue Jays, in a classically beautiful Doug McWillams image shot at the Oakland Coliseum.

Darrell Brown 1981 Tigers Topps Vault
Some days back I posted some images from kylesportscards of Darrell Brown, a good-field, no-hit outfielder who got some work with the 1981 Tigers. Well, here he is again with the Tigers, this time in some fine Topps Vault shots. Now, if I can only find him with the '82 A's...

Tony Brizzolara Braves 1983 or 1984?
Tony Brizzolara was a Braves pitcher who got three cups with Atlanta in 1979, 1983, and 1984. Topps did a card of him in 1980, but here he is again in some Topps Vault photos that seem to date from the period of his later appearances with the big club. The uniform is right anyway, though I can't be certain of the precise year.

Jamie Quirk, 1989 Oakland A's
About 6 weeks ago I asked if anyone here had a shot of Jamie Quirk with the 1989 Oakland A's. Jamie spent several seasons with the A's, but in '89 he had one tour with them sandwiched between stints with the Yankees and the Orioles. That season was only the only season in which Jamie wore No. 3 with Oakland; when he returned to them later he wore No. 9.
Well, here he is wearing No. 3, sliding into the plate in an autographed image of a 1989 game between the A's and Angels. I think I found this on Ebay, but unfortunately I failed to note the seller. |

Todd Fischer - 1986 Angels
Saw a 90x135 shot on a previous thread. Was wondering if anyone came up with a larger TV sized one ?

I am also looking for larger versions of some thumbnails posted on this site. Dennis Kinney (Tigers) and Steve Dillard (White Sox) are the two that come to my mind at the moment. |

I can't seem to find a photo of Mr. Rodriguez in a M's uniform circa 2000.

Consider that Grasso spent nearly two years in a German POW camp before escaping. His weight dropped from 205 to 145. There aren't any stories about him being msitreated or injured, but two years are two years.
That would put your photo in 1942; the only year he played before enlisting. Last edited by rico43; 02-21-2015 at 08:31 AM. Reason: More info |
