Downloaded, bought and just imported my 2015 League where I have the whole MLB minors and all the international leagues running. Took over the Mexico Diablos Rojos and finished the first season a couple of days ago. Decided to play pre season yesterday on ootp15. All imported fine it appears, nothing standing out as being amiss.

Loved my first email from the owner. Don't suck completely this season. Well, some work to do there then as we did last season! (39-74

)

Just exploring all the new stuff now, love it so far.

Using the dark skin the standings page all runs together and is hard to separate divisions at a glance. This is due to the division names line being a light gray that blends in instead of being a color that contrasts and shows up against the rest of the field. 1st thoughts.
Love the new uniform options, even if i do not want to use Justafan programs i can now create decent uniforms, although i have yet to try.
Dark skin needs to be darker, like 15.
Absolutely love having the nickname project be so accessible. Although i did not have it to start now that I have it installed, loading uniforms for my Illinois Baseball League is a breeze.
Not a fan of the white border around logos in the team select drop down menu.
I'll update this in a bit.

Edit: Loving the pop ups, gives me a chance to see who is scheduled to be injured ( predetermined injuries in my eBL league as it is a fictional historical) without clicking on their name.

BB cards also way cool!

Edit 2: You brought back the Who's Hot/Not to the team home page.

Edit 3: Love the new layout when playing a game and MR's tire if you leave them warm up too long.

Edit 4: So cool all time team leaders. I think i have spent more time looking at the new features then actually playing games.

I've been playing since OOTP2. I stayed up all night the night before OOTP3 came out in anticipation. I've played every version since OOTP2, and I have to say, OOTP16 is by far the best version of the entire series.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I literally have no complaints. None. I'm 100% happy with everything I've played so far. That's a first for the series with me. Well done!

I love this game!

Coming from OOTP13, I am amazed at the progress the OOTP team has made in improving the best baseball game.
I'm not sure if I had been progressing from year to year if I would have experienced the "Wow!" factor I have now.

The entire OOTP team should be very proud and pleased with their current game. It's nice to know they are genuinely concerned in making improvements in the near future and years to come.
The addition of the MLB license was a nice improvement too. Thank you!

By the way, I mentioned this in another thread somewhere I think, but I just wanted to mention how much better the trade AI has gotten over the years. It's not something you usually mention as a big feature because it's kind of a gradual, subjective thing, but at this point I feel like making trades isn't cheating. In the past, I always found that trading on average was too easy but on the next level up it was almost impossible. I think you're pretty close to nailing it.

I love the game! But...

OOTP16 feels slightly slower when it comes to simulating games than OOTP15. And it slows down over time. In 15, I restarted the game once a year which "reset" the simulation speed, but in 16, it takes just a few weeks before it's a lot slower.

I've tried changing the priority for OOTP16 to high in processes and helps a little bit but not much.

Is it better to assign one processor, or let it use all the cores?

Anyone have any good tips on how to speed up simulation times?

Should players be credited with a hitter of the year award? Like what happens with reliever of the year, MVP, pitcher of the year etc.

While there is a news item acknowledging when a player wins it, there is no record of a player winning it anywhere on their player page. Nothing on the career awards bar with the circles on, nor anything in their history page under awards or accomplishments.

If reliever of the year gets recognised, surely hitter of the year should be too?

I play OOTP16 and OOTP15 in Broadcast version(very fast). I play them side by side and OOTP16 seems much faster.

In our tests OOTP 16 is 10% faster than OOTP 15. However, it does slow down a bit on some older Macs, we are not sure why though.

I can tell you for fresh leagues, the save time is amazingly Mets fasters then 15!

The game is fantastic for sure!

Few things I notice.

1) All states in my fictional league are Michigan. Is this going to be fixed?

2) WAY too many pitch outs. Maybe it's not the amount of pitch outs, but it seems like it's some sort of cheat now to prevent steals. I get pitch outs on first pitch with nobody out, 2 outs and now today, first pitch with 2 outs and I'm down by 2 runs. I'm not sure if real pitchers would do a pitch out with 2 outs and up by 2 runs. Also, I had a game with a count of 1-1 and there was a pitch out, maybe, but I am seeing a lot of pitch outs.

This game is fun, super in depth and I can't get enough of it! Thanks for such a great game that I can get lost in.
