Great day for David Parkinson! He made his Major League debut and took a shutout into the 8th inning before the Jays beat the Tigers, 7-3. He struck out nine!

(This is due to postseason eligibility. Parkinson will be back, but it is Shohei we want for the playoffs.)

The Blue Jays watched their seven run lead dwindle but in the end they were able to hold on for the 7-6 win over the Orioles.

Cavan Biggio and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homered for Toronto.

Keone Kela left the game with a finger blister bit isn't expected to miss any time.

Record - 82-51

The Yankees lost so the Jays are back within a half game.

The A's beat the Jays, 7-2.

In addition, Patrick Murphy was the second pitcher in two games to leave with a finger blister. Unlike Keone Kela, this time he might be going to the IL.

Yoshi Tsutsugo and Teoscar Hernandez homered for Toronto.

LP - Trent Thornton (9-3)

Record - 82-52

The Yankees also lost.

Giancarlo Stanton's second home run of the game came in the 10th inning and gave the Jays a 6-4, walk-off win over the A's.

Can Biggio has a 15 game hitting streak.

He hit .333 with 5 of his 7 hits being home runs while knocking in 11 last week.

Anthony Rizzo of the Cubs won for the NL.

The bad news: Giancarlo Stanton left the game with a strained oblique. It looks like he will miss a couple of weeks.
