Another tool for colorizers...

I picked up a copy of Codijy Colorizer Pro during their Black Friday sale. I just noticed it's back on sale for the holidays. If you are a colorizer, it might be a good addition to your tool box. If you're used to doing things with layers and masks as in Photoshop, this program takes a different approach. Rather than masking an entire area, you just apply color brushstrokes to roughly surround the area you want colored. The program detects the boundaries and fills in the colors.

The photo on the left below shows the brush strokes. The yellow-green patterned strokes are the ones that define "protected" areas that should not change from the original. The photo on the right is what was produced after the strokes were processed. I think that's a pretty nice result.

Anyway, if this interests you, you can find the program at https://www.codijy.com/store/.

Very well done. Looks easy to use. I kind of like the way it looks with the indicators too. Sort of an 80s neon.

The caveat is that if the image is too small or too poor quality, the edge detection algorithm will not function well. I think if I am just doing headshots for in game use, I'll stick with Elements. If I want to include more of the body or an on field shot, this will be nice to have. Of course, there's also those old family photos of the great-great-grands where I can use Codijy.

Nice work. Anything prior to 1960s appreciated.
