The St. Louis Cardinals have acquired center fielder Michael Harris II from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for 22-year-old right-hander Mario Alamillo.
The 29-year-old Harris is a four-time All-Star who hit .319 last season for Atlanta with 21 home runs and 97 RBIs.
He broke into the majors in 2022 in during that time is a .293 hitter with 170 home runs and 623 RBIs.
Signed by the Cardinals out of the Dominican Republic, the left-handed Alamillo has shown signs of being a top of the rotation starter.
He did break into the majors in 2030, making 11 starts and going 2-5 with a 5.92 ERA.

The St. Louis Cardinals have acquired right-handed relief pitcher A.J. Russell from the New York Yankees in exchange for outfielders Matt Heath and William Hill.
The 26-year-old Russell made his major league debut last season getting into 13 games during which he was 3-0 with one save and a 1.50 ERA.
The 10th overall pick in the 2028 draft by St. Louis, Heath, 24, has struggled in his brief time in the minors.
In 140 games at AAA Memphis last season, he hit just .225 with 18 home runs and 54 RBIs.
Also 24, Hill also spent 2030 at Memphis hitting .280 with six home runs and 19 RBIs in 51 games/47 starts.
He also broke into the majors, playing in 34 games/28 starts during which he hit just .200 with one home run and 10 RBIs.

The St. Louis Cardinals have acquired right-handed starting pitcher David Sanchez from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for outfielder Easton Winfield.
Acquired from the Diamondbacks in a 2029 trade, Sanchez has pitched in 25 games over the past two seasons for the Cubs making two starts.
In those games, he has gone 2-3 with a 3.48 ERA.
Winfield, 25, spent 2023 as the Cardinals primary left fielder.
In 141 games, 132 starts, he hit .254 with 17 home runs and 64 RBIs.
The trade of Winfield was primarily brought about by the acquisition of center fielder Michael Harris II from the Braves.

The 36-year-old Hader, who broke into the majors with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2017, spent the 2030 season with the Boston Red Sox.

A year ago, the 35-year-old Munoz topped the National League with 44 saves while going 4-8 with a 3.38 ERA in 70 games for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Munoz broke into the majors with Philadelphia in 2027 and over four seasons went 20-21 with 122 saves and a 2.99 ERA in 255 games.

The 36-year-old Burnes spent the 2030 season with the Miami Marlins going 10-7 in 31 starts and a 3.42 ERA.
Burnes broke into the majors with Milwaukee in 2018 and played with the Brewers until 2023.
Since then, he has spent time with Baltimore, the Dodgers (two seasons), Cleveland, Kansas City, Arizona and the Marlins.
In his career, he has pitched in 381 games/320 starts and gone 114-96 with two saves and a 3.55 ERA.

The 36-year-old Jax spent the 2030 season with the Atlanta Braves where he went 1-4 with 17 saves and a 1.26 ERA.
Jax broke into the majors with the Minnesota Twins in 2021 and played there through 2026.
He spent the next four season with the Braves.
