Ah yeah, I kinda remember that now. Not exactly what I had in mind, but it does seem to be moving towards that sort of thing, so maybe the foundation is laid for more Glowing Sea stuff. Good news.

I have been hashing out the plan more than just what I used from someone else's map and started to expand on the idea. I am going to make it part of the timeline to add more information each year on the future expansion of the league. I am attaching my updated map.
Here is the engineers' plan for how the future system will operate. The Boston Transit System operates three means of travel: train, subway, and ferry. Routes may be added or changed in time. Legend: % - transfer, * - current CBO team location The train rails (purple stars indicate stations) Line 1: Outpost Zimonja > Tenpines Bluff > Bedford Station > Starlight Drive-In*% > West Lexington > Graygarden > Oberland* > Vault 81* > Mass Pike West% > Egret Tours Marina*% > BNN (was Gunner's Plaza) Line 2: Mass Pike West% > Mass Pike East > Andrew Station*% Subway Red Line Concord* > North Lexington*% > South Lexington > Cambridge > Goodneighbor > Old North Church% > Andrew Station*% > University Point* > Quincy* Subway Blue Line Vault 95 > Eastlake% > Egret Tours Marina*% > West Roxbury* > Fens Station* > Boston Library > Trinity Tower > Mass Bay Medical% > Old North Church% > Easy Town* > Revere Beach > Lynn > Salem* Subway Yellow Line Eastlake% > Fort Hagen* > Nuka World Train Transfer% > North Lexington*% > Malden > Bunker Hill > Mass Bay Medical% Ferry Line Routes Salem > Nahant > Nordhagen Beach > Boston Harbor Nordhagen Beach > Spectacle Island > Atom Garage > The Castle Boston Harbor > Spectacle Island > Atom Garage > The Castle Boston Harbor > Charles Bridge > Oberland Dock This all gives me a better picture of how I could arrange my league for the future. Now I have justification for the expanded teams' locations. It also makes me think of where I might want teams. Some non-CBO locations that could be population centers and advance in level or gain a team: Malden Lynn Cambridge Graygarden Bunker Hill Eastlake Spectacle Island Revere Beach Vault 95 Tenpines Bluff BNN (Old Gunner's Plaza) Mass Pike Tunnel West Teams probably saved by this map (does not mean they will be): Fort Hagen Sunshine Tidings Vault 81 Teams probably not saved by this map (does not mean they will not be): Abernathy County Crossing FHE Finch Farm The Slog Warwick

Not gonna quote that because it'll stretch the page, but maps always make my day. And ferries now too (though I know they've been mentioned before a bit). I've made my enthusiasm for trains known, but recently I've become interested in ferries too, kind of ironically so, since I'm from downstate Illinois where we don't have any boats so there's nothing anywhere remotely close to me to compare, unlike trains, which we do have here.

Also let me say, a lot of your teams in the "probably not saved" category (not 100% sure what exactly you mean by it) still have good transportation links, as they are centrally located between lines at least (though not all of them, of course).

It means that I like change and that I will change up some of the league in time. I will still make it as logical as possible, but there will be some adjustments.

Abernathy Adamantium: Released 2B Lester Atlas. Standings Team Power Rankings Weekly Team Power Rankings: Here are the current team power rankings for Commonwealth Baseball Organization: Analysis With 40 games down and 68 yet to go, the CBO's second month is approaching the end of its second month. In that time, a few teams have emerged through consistency, hot streaks, or a combination of the two. This week, a hot team has taken over the top spot. Let's take a look at the Top 5. #1 Jamaica Plain - They have won nine games in a row, but the Red Rockets still trail Atom (#2) by a game in the Minutemen League. Jamaica Plain zapped through their week with sweeps of Egret (#23) and University Point (#8). By being swept, the Deathclaws have now dropped five straight and now trail the Cats by three games. #2 Atom - They have not won nine straight but the Cats did have a perfect week to move atop the ML. Atom swept FHE (#13) for the second-straight week and Goodneighbor (#17). At 27-13, they are atop the SCA and tied with the 3rd and 4th teams in the CBO for the best record. #3 Fort Hagen - The Silver Shroud started the week with a loss but then won the last four for a good week. The Shroud split on their road trip to Finch Farm (#14) and then won all three at Abernathy (#22), the NCA's coldest team at 2-8 in their last 10. On the flip side, Fort Hagen is the NCA's hottest team at 8-2 in their last 10 and now lead the Institute League by six games over Starlight (#9), Concord (#10), and Sunshine Tidings (#11). #4 Nordhagen Beach - Like the Shroud, the Party Boys went 4-1 on the week except on a different path. Nordhagen Beach started the week by winning both games at Lexington (#15) and then winning the last two of three at Easy Town (#19). #5 Diamond City - The Swatters are tied with Roxbury (#6) for first place in the Railroad League. Diamond City won both games at University Point and then won the first and last games of a three-game series at FHE. Feature Story: Fort Hagen and Nordhagen Beach and All the Rest While the SCA has a number of teams that look to be legitimate contenders to win their association, the NCA is much different. In the NCA, both the Shroud and Boys are atop the association with a 27-13 record. The rest of the association features three teams at 21-19 and two more at 20-20. Everyone else is below .500. Fort Hagen has a legitimate shot to supplant the Party Boys as the NCA representative in the Sole Survivor Series. With the CBO's top batting average, the offense has been a beast in the IL. Four players are batting over .300 with CF Ben Pawlak (.358/11/35) in the Nuka-Hitter Award conversation. C Bixton Moore (.303/10/24) has been a pleasant surprise from the 8th position. He currently leads the CBO for catchers in home runs, SLG (.583), total bases (77), and ISO (.280). In all, he is in the top 5 of catchers in 17 of 24 offensive categories. Pitching has also been a successful endeavor if you count only their first three pitchers in the rotation. With that said, the loss of SP Mike Cartrette to a major injury may be the one factor that prevents the Shroud from being a true championship contender. As of now, Derek Green (4-1, 4.19), Brent Hooker (5-1, 2.44), and Matt Hope (6-1, 2.33) are getting the job done, but fourth starter All Day Acosta (1-4, 12.27) will need to be replaced via a trade. Nordhagen Beach is atop the NCA in both runs scored (220) and runs allowed (135). Despite not being as successful this season as they were last season when they operated as a machine, the Boys are still looking better offensively than they did a year ago. Both RF Jonathan Angelou (.377/10/33) and LF Michael Fogcrawler (.322/14/32) are in the Nuka-Hitter Award conversation. CF Maxx Murtagh (.311/9/22) may also enter that conversation. Pitching is across the board successful with all four starters finding success. Only Tommy Beach (2-2, 5.97) has had his struggles this season, but Beachboy Nut (8-1, 1.77), Chet Arthur (5-5, 2.93), and Matt Ranger (8-0, 2.96) are all pitching well. No other team in the NCA appears to be in the same league as either the Shroud or Party Boys. Only injuries could factor into either team not battling for the right to play in the Sole Survivor Series. Even then, both teams have pieces they could move to replace any broken or weak parts they may have. PAM had both teams battling for the right to play in the Sole Survivor Series. She also predicted Angelou and Pawlak to finish 1-2 in the Nuka-Hitter Award competition. She may have hit the robobrain on the dome with those picks. Then again, based on the past few seasons, who would not have made those predictions? Minor League Report BMU Standings Players of the Week CA: RF Mushy Levy, College Square, 9/17 (.529), 6 HR, 9 RBI MA: 1B Tom Stamey, Bunker Hill, 9/11 (.818), 2 HR, 6 RBI, 4 R GBRL Standings Players of the Week NL: CF Toppie Gunn, Sanctuary Hills, 5/12 (.417), 3 HR, 6 RBI, 5 R SL: C Jon-Pad Lock, Mass Pike, 8/13 (.615)

May 2302 - Season Pass Association
26 May 2302 ---------------------------------------------------------- Nuka News Update Reporting on the NWL, NWLB, and APYL Leagues by Evan Guy Orange You Aware of the Tourists? With an 8-2 streak in their last 10 games, including a 4-2 week, the Orange Tourists (17-13) may not be in first place in the Nuka World League, but they are making juice. Playing on the road at Victory and Wild this week, the Tourists looked to have a tough week. Instead, they took two of three from both the Cave Crickets (21-9) and the Gatorclaws (13-17) in securing themselves in second place. They lead Quartz (16-14) by one game for the wildcard spot. The Star Force have not been spectacular, but they ended a four-game losing streak to turn it into a four-game winning streak before dropping their last game of the week. Like Orange, the Force won two of three at Grape (12-18) and then two of three over the Quantum Nukalurks (14-16). They may not remain in last place, but last season's Nuka Series and Season Pass Series winners, the Painted Ghouls have struggled to be consistent this season. Part of the problem is that their pitching has not matched up to the 2301 season, allowing the 7th most runs (164) and currently 5th in both Starters (4.45) and Bullpen (5.33) ERA. On the opposite side, they did have their bats working this week, including the man mentioned in the next paragraph. 1B Bill Black of the Painted Ghouls has been on fire as of late. This past week, he hit .474 in 9 of 19 hitting with three home runs and six RBI. On the season, Black is now batting .413 with three homers and 12 RBI. Drafted by the Quincy Gunners in the 18th round of the 2296 CBO Inaugural Draft, Black was cut by the Gunners this past offseason and then signed with the Painted Ghouls. He appeared in a total of 79 games over five seasons with Quincy, batting .325 with one career home run and 11 RBI. In the BMU and GBRL leagues, he saw success. With the Postal Square Action Boys/Bunker Hill Gun Fu of the BMU, he batted .311 with 7 homers and 39 RBI in three seasons. In one season with the GBRL's Spectacle Island Strength, he batted .361 with 13 home runs and 51 RBI. Standings APL and BBL In the Amusement Park League, the Nuka Bottling Plant Pack (Quantum) maintained their APL lead by just a game. The Pack are now 18-12, having won 8 of 10 games. The Grandchester Flying Ants (Cherry) have surged into second place at 17-13 after a 5-1 week. C Twisted Bree Schneider of the Nuka Town Operators (Orange) was the top player this week. He only played in three games, but in those games, he was 10 for 12 (.833) with a double, a walk, a run, and an RBI. In the Bradberton Boys League, the Fizztop Mountain Conquerors only went 4-3 to move to 17-7 but still have a four-game lead in the league. The Wixon Shovels (13-11) are the only other BBL team with a record above .500, but three teams trail the Shovels by just one game. 1B Steve Mirv of the Mad Mulligan Travelers won the BBL's Player of the Week honors. He was 11 for 24 with seven home runs, eight runs scored, and 13 runs batted in. Vim! View Veracious, Vivacious, Vainglorious Vision of the Vim! Leagues by Vikky Vail Standings Analysis Rayburn Point (24-16) is once again atop the Fog Division while the Dalton Farm Fog Crawlers (27-13) repeat atop yet the Harbor Division. The Patcheyes split their four-game series with second-place Echo Lake (21-19) and also lost their game at Eden Meadows (14-26) for a 2-3 week. The Harbormen fared no better, losing at Acadia (25-15) and then their first two games at Rayburn Point before winning the last two games. Next weekend, the Harbormen host the Patcheyes for a chance to gain ground in the division. The Fog Crawlers went 4-1 on the week, starting by winning their last game at Far Harbor (17-23) in a four-game series and then taking the first three before dropping the last at Cranberry Island (18-22). Dalton Farm leads second-place Acadia (25-15) by two games. Player of the Week RF Sam Edgington, Grand Hotel Atoms, 11/21 (.524), 2 HR, 8 RBI MDIL Report The Southwest Harbor Rippers (Echo Lake) of the Small Bertha Division are no longer in sole possession of first place. They are now tied at 25-20 with the Longfellow Pips (Cranberry Island) in the Mount Desert Island League. That change in leadership is thanks to a four-game losing streak by the Rippers coupled with a four-game winning streak by the Pips. The Cliff's Edge Actors (Rayburn Point) are two games back of both at 23-22. In the Old Longfellow Division, Huntress Island Ug-Qualtoths (Dalton Farm) are still atop at 28-17 after a 5-2 week. Thanks to an early-week three-game sweep of the Eagle's Cove Harpooners (Acadia), the Ug-Qualtoths lead the division by three games over the Harpooners. RF Steve Quagmire of the Nucleus Radchickens (Eden Meadows) was the Player of the Week. He was 10 for 26 (.385) with four home runs, nine runs scored, and seven RBI. MYL Report In the Mount Desert Island Four, the Far Harbor Dockdwellers (11-10) and the Cliff's Edge Wolves (11-10) both lead the league by a game over both National Park and Beaver Creek at the halfway point of the season. In the Great Diamond Island League, the Pleasant Cove Raiders (12-9) have pulled ahead to a two-game lead over Diamond Cove, Echo Point, and Sunset Park. In the MDIF, 2B Kevin Welch, National Park, was the Player of the Week. He batted .389 with three homers, seven RBI, and four runs. In the GDIL, Sunset Park's 3B Esav Bin Naim was the Player of the Week. He was 9 of 18 with five home runs, nine RBI, and six runs scored.

It's been so long since I fired up the game that I had to look to see what they were doing. They finished May with a 16-6 record, which on a quick glance appears to be the best May in baseball. They are definitely a good all-around team with lots of talent everywhere. I feel as though injuries have been their major barrier in the past few seasons.

Off topic, but I finally got to the off season on my "fun save" (extra time during a covid break), so I moved the save to 23, and now I see what you mean about the default pants, but being able to give them crazy colors. My stadiums got messed up and it was hard to tell my team was the home team at home, so I gave them some blazing gold pants, I think your uniforms here would be proud

Haha, well it was just some subtle goading to get Lee to update all his old uniforms he posted, because most of the custom ones I'm using are things he posted as I've mentioned. In particular I've taken the Portland Pioneers from one of his old threads, but didn't want to necro there.

With as many teams as he has running, I don’t blame him for not updating his uniforms. Hell, half of the uninforms in my universe were created after 23 went to the 3D model but I kept them the same for simplicity’s sake and will until the facegen forces me to move from 2D to 3D Last edited by BRyMcBourbon; 07-15-2022 at 02:59 AM. |

June 2302 - BNN Weekly Report
Back for a moment in between more work for the weekend. Does anyone feel like writing 35 pages over a weekend? I wouldn't usually, but I don't have much of a choice due to other duties during the week making me seem like a procrastinator. This weekend will suck! Who ever said taking two doctoral classes during the summer was a good idea?

Standings Team Power Rankings Weekly Team Power Rankings: Here are the current team power rankings for Commonwealth Baseball Organization: Analysis With 45 games played, we are less than two weeks from hitting the 2302 midway point for the CBO season. This week had some big winners and losers and a little shakeup in the Top 5. #1 Fort Hagen - With a 4-1 week, the Silver Shroud have now emerged as the CBO's top team. The Shroud slew Finch Farm (#17) in two and then beat Concord (#12) 2 out of 3 times for the week. Fort Hagen now holds a six-game lead in the Institute League over Sunshine Tidings (#7) and a three-game lead over the struggling Party Boys (#4). #2 Atom - The best team in the South Charles Association, the Cats had a 3-2 week against two hot teams. Atom split at Vault 81 (#8) and then won the last two games of a three-game series against Jamaica Plain (#3). If there was any playoff preview, this week showed that the Cats are top contenders to repeat as the SCA's champions. #3 Jamaica Plain - Coming into the week, the Red Rockets were the hottest team in baseball, but they cooled off a little this week. They entered the week on a nine-game winning streak and extended it to 10 before FHE (#11) split the series with them. Jamaica Plain then lost the weekend series to Atom as mentioned above, putting them two back of the Cats in the Minutemen League and atop the SCA standings. #4 Nordhagen Beach - The Party Boys dropped from the top after having a rough week salvaged only with a Sunday win. The Boys dropped both games versus the Chemists, and then they lost the first two games against Easy Town (#20), all at home. With the 1-4 week, Nordhagen Beach is now three games back of the Shroud for the North Charles Association's top record. The Boys lead the Brotherhood League by six games over County Crossing (#15), though, still putting them in a good place for the second-half playoff race. #5 Diamond City - Atop the Railroad League in the tightest league in the CBO, the Swatters went 3-2 to maintain a one-game lead over a banged up Roxbury (#6) team. Diamond City split at home with University Point (#14) and then won two of three over the Dwellers. Similar to Atom, the Swatters had a 3-2 week in two important series, showing good signs for them should they make the playoffs. Feature Story: Is the Class of 2296 Too Strong? Some of them are only in their early-20s, but the cast of stars from the 2296 inaugural season have not been the stars so far in 2302. Still, when looking at the top-rated players, the 2296 CBO Inaugural Draft produced heavy talent from the original pool. Looking at the OSA rankings of players, only a few 1st-rounders from the 2296 Inaugural Draft are considered Top 20 as position players or pitchers: RF Tomas Jones (#11 position), SS Austin Engill (#13), 3B Ben Pettinato (#17), SP Sheng Kawolski (#3 pitcher), SP Tony Bertha (#8), and SP Brent Hooker (#19). The rankings are not bad since there are some other players not drafted in the 1st round who are stellar, including #12 RF Jonathan Angelou (11th-rd pick), #18 RF Joe Rathmann (17th rd), #19 CF Hid Matsumoto (2nd rd), #2 Chris Teddybear (8th rd), #10 SP Chet Arthur (18th rd), #11 Mike Cartrette (11th rd), #12 CL Aaron Still (7th rd), #13 CL Wick Prater (8th rd), #15 Phlip Wallace (2nd rd), #16 CL Doug Dee El (12th rd), and #20 SP Pete Pembroke (4th rd). In all, that makes up 17 of the 40 top players in the CBO by ratings. That does not mean any will win a Nuka-Hitter Award or Vim! Pitcher Award, but they are players still heavily influencing the current CBO, meaning that few spots are open for new players. That may be the reason why Commissioner Nate Howard decided to reduce the draft pool again for now since there are just too few slots for players to advance in the current CBO. That could mean good things for the NWL and VL, but for now those leagues get a few of the CBO's scraps. For the record, BNN's picks for the current top hitter and pitcher per association are as follows in a few tight races: NCA Hitter: RF Jonathan Angelou, Nordhagen Beach, .363 (2nd), 12 HR, 35 RBI (6th), 1.162 OPS (2nd), 3.1 WAR (2nd), 30 XBH (1st) SCA Hitter: RF Young Goodman, Roxbury, .372 (2nd), 15 HR (t-2nd), 36 RBI (t-6th), 1.160 OPS (2nd), 3.3 WAR (3rd), 64 H (1st), 119 TB (1st), .493 wOBA (1st) NCA Pitcher: SP Beachboy Nut, Nordhagen Beach, 9-2 (1st in wins), 1.78 ERA (1st), 3.7 WAR (1st), 86.0 IP (1st), 76 K (2nd), 10.9 K/BB (1st), 0.7 BB/9 (1st), 0.86 WHIP (1st), 2.16 FIP (1st), 238 ERA+ (1st), 4.3 rWAR (1st) - Note: this race is not close SCA Pitcher: SP Chris Teddybear, Jamaica Plain, 7-0 (tied for 1st in wins), 2.13 ERA (1st), 1.9 WAR, 36 K, 0.89 WHIP (1st), 199 ERA+ (1st), .187 OPP AVG (1st) Minor League Report BMU Standings Players of the Week CA: 1B Dusty Brownell, College Square (Concord), 9/17 (.529), 5 HR, 9 RBI MA: LF Darius Yurnday, Bunker Hill (Quincy), 9/17 (.529), 4 HR, 12 RBI, 8 R GBRL Standings Players of the Week NL: 1B Dusty Floor, Cambridge (Vault 81), 7/11 (.636), 2 HR, 4 RBI, 2 R SL: SS Diss Montand, Mass Pike (The Slog), 10/18 (.556), 2 HR, 10 RBI, 5 R

I have mixed feelings about the longevity of the Class of 96. On one hand, I do like to see progression, and new faces keeping the league dynamic. On the other hand, though, the staying power of the originals allows us to develop a connection and have favorites which really keeps the universe together.
