I have looked for images of short-time backup catcher Hank Izquierdo for years, but Lexibell has delivered a couple of worthwhile images.

First is a nice action shot with the Twins. The second is the first time I have seen him in an Astros "shooting star" jersey, although it is kinda small. Hope others find them useful.

Looking for a good, color image of Alexander during his 1/2 season with Oakland. Action or headshot, doesn't matter. I have the Sporting News cover, and the other one floating around out there. Neither one work for the project I'm working on. Many thanks in advance!

To be precise, that's a photoshop of his One Year Winners card, as he appeared on the card as an Astro.

Righthander Gus Keriazakos is seen at the 1951 White Sox spring taining camp. Keriazakos had already made his one and only appearance for Chicago - he was the starter for the Pale Hose in the second game of a season-ending doubleheader against the St. Louis Browns on October 1, 1950. The image is a cleaned sample taken from a much larger scan of a wirephoto from my collection.

Outfielder Clyde Mashore passed away a few days ago on January 24. He was age 70.

Walt WIlliams....with the very suitable nickname passed away on January 23rd....the nickname fit so well, that his Topps booklet truly showed no neck (JK)

Speaking of Gary and much like the prior request, I am looking for a good, color image of Alexander during his '75 or '76 season with San Fran. Action, posed, or headshot - all do not matter. For his first card he was featured on a four panel job in the 1977 Topps Set. I just need him in that solid hat - non orange bill. (so not like his '78 Topps card) Thanks in advance!

Two images, the first a scan from a slide sold by the ebay seller Dr. Jteeee, the second scanned from the original photo for Williams' 1976 SSPC card.

One note about his dedication to his career. From Williams' professional debut in the Houston organization in 1963, through the 1974 season, he had played all but two of his games in the outfield. But as a Yankees' reserve in '74 he had hit an amazingly paltry .118, and as 1975 neared he volunteered to learn and play second base to increase his possible value to the club. Williams made the Yanks and hit .281 in 82 1975 games - six games totaling fourteen innings at second base.

Williams went on to play in Japan, but 40 years ago today the Yankees released him, ending Walt's major league career.

The reaper is working overtime this year. Ron Stillwell, briefly an infielder with the Washington Senators in 1961 and 1962 and the father of Kurt Stillwell, passed away on Monday after a battle with cancer. He was 76.

Ron's career ended prematurely when he collided with a left fielder as they both went for a pop up. Ron suffered an eye injury in the collision and his vision never recovered sufficiently to continue his playing career, though he had a long and successful career as a high school and college baseball coach.

Ron is another short-timer whose only cardboard appearance as a major leaguer came with the One Year Winners set.

There's a nice B&W postcard of Ron with the Syracuse Chiefs currently up on eBay which I'll post to the minor league thread.
