Also, had a nice conversation few weeks on Dischord about the Helthwyzer Crakes name. Apparently there are a lot of Margaret Atwood fans over there so it was nice to see so many people recommending Oryx and Crake and the rest of the MaddAddam trilogy (I highly recommend it as well).

Cary are literally unbeatable at the moment! The biggest question mark would seem to be whether the game will actually allow them past the DS this season

(there should be 5 or 6 promotions from Gold - can't understand why there aren't).

Looks like it's down to Knockemstiff and Waffletown to provide the competition, but I'm not confident that they can keep pace with the mighty Southpaws!

Also... HelthWyzer are off the mark!

Sunday firmly in the lead, but a lot of games left to play. 17 of the Driver's first 19 games this month will be in the OL.

Four OL teams in a playoff spot with three others trying to get there.

Tell the engraver to get their tools ready! There are still some very slim possibilities, but Cary's next 6 are against Seattle, who they are 13-0 against, so don't hold your breath!

HelthWyzer have been well and truly RNGee'd, but at least they could be heading for a trophy

Helthwyzer is having a decent week actually but just being dominated against OL teams. 0-7 against Perfectos, 0-6 against Shiners, etc.

woke up in the wee hours of the morning (3am-ish) and couldn't get back to sleep, so picked up the tablet and logged into Go to take a peek at the AH (needed two players to finish off two missions).... as luck would have it, both of those players were available and at reasonable prices, so two new players will be joining the Waffletown lineup for the stretch run (as they sit 4 games back of the final wild card spot):

SP - Johan Santana and SP - Matt Harvey

Al Hrabosky and Roy Face will head to the reserves to make room. Mike Mussina and Satchel Paige will shift from the starting rotation to the bullpen, with Paige moving into the closer role; while Santana and Harvey slide into the rotation in the 1-2 slots respectively.

yeah, if my calculations are correct.... Cary has 12 OL games remaining, Waffletown has 10..... if the Syrups go 10-0

the Southpaws would only need to go 3-9 to still clinch

I guess stranger things have happened, but I'm not dusting off a spot in the trophy cabinet in anticipation

I just assumed this week that SD were comprehensively better than Paxville, 'cause I haven't given it a lot of attention, and they've had a great record. But it could end up being a thriller!

Paxville have 23 games left, SD have 16, and they play each other 7 times. I hope the Kings can push them all the way!

Also, I just noticed that Paxville are now farther from completing Johan Santana than they were before the live update. Flipping heck

It made me wonder, what if so many of the deadline players bomb that there aren't enough points available to complete the mission?

Josh Gibson is having a pretty solid year (leading the league in batting and home runs... 18 behind the RBI lead, so a long shot for the triple crown... just hoping he keeps up enough ABs to qualify in the end)
