Topps has posted this player as Udell Chambers. I feel fairly certain Topps erred on that. Really certain. Not even close. But then again...Bob Cerv/Harry Chiti. So I leave it to others to be the definitive word on the subject.

Udell Chambers

It's Cambero. I've told them.

It's particularly unfortunate because Chambers was supposed to be at the Braves' camp in 1968 but was instead drafted and sent to Vietnam, and killed there.

This is Udell Chambers:

If you have a way to Photoshop a baseball uniform over this business suit, this may serve as a reasonable head shot of Udell Chambers. It's from baseballsgreatestsacrifice.com

Dick Rusteck 1966

For a couple of days in 1966, Dick Rusteck was Tom Seaver before there was a Tom Seaver. Later ranked by a Met fan blog as the 12th best prospect of the Mets' pre-draft era, Rusteck was recalled from the Mets' AAA team in Jacksonville in early June, the Notre Dame product electrified Shea Stadium by four-hitting the Reds and besting Met nemesis Jim Maloney, 5-0.

Four days later the Cardinals chased him with five in the first, and he never won another big league game. Rusteck was slowed by injury and wasn't even a serious candidate to make the team in 1967. He did reappear in the 1969 training camp and went to spring training with the Twins in 1971.

There have been two widely-distributed color photos of Rusteck, one in the Fritsch One Year Winners set taken from a Topps shoot from 1966, and another in the TCMA '60s Series.

Walt Walsh 1920 - Missing Player

This photo of Walt Walsh shows him with a Westinghouse team called the Morristown club. The photo was discovered by a SABR member who had learned that Walsh worked for Westinghouse for many years. Using the Westinghouse Archives, he tracked down the photo in a Westinghouse newsletter.

It would be helpful if you would insert a subject into your topics or at least quoted a previous message, so that we would know what you're talking about. Because your message followed my posting of a Udell Chambers photo, I'll take a stab that you might have wanted more detail on the baseballsgreatestsacrifice.com citation I mentioned. It's Dell Chambers - Baseball's Greatest Sacrifice

Owen Conway 1915 Missing Player

Another find by the same SABR member as cited above. This photo of Owen Conway comes from a Georgetown University team photo which was published in the Washington Times of March 25, 1914.

Wayne Comer 1968

You don't see a lot of him in a Milwaukee uniform.

Below, the first part (unused negatives; 223 and above appear to be card-used ones) of today's Topps upload. 181-182 Gene Conley, 183-184 Jeff Conner, 185-188 Danny Coombs, 189- 190 Johnny Cooney, 191-192 Wayne Comer, 193-194 Geoff Combe, 195-196 Bob Coluccio, 197-198 Len Clendenin, 199-200 Loyd Colson, 201-202 Cliff Cook, 203-204 Jim Constable, 205-206 Ron Cook, 207-208 Don Cooper, 209-210 Walker Cooper, 211-212 David Cone, 213-214 Onix Concepcion, 215-216 Clint Compton, 217-218 Mike Compton, 219-220 Steve Comer, 221-222 Enos Cabell.

Don Cooper 1981

The future White Sox pitching coach and Metropolitan New Yorker originally signed with the Yankees in 1978 but would only make a seven-game cameo with them in 1985.

Wayne Comer Pilots and Brewers

Too late. Merkle posted while I was writing. Missed it by that much. I'd delete this post if I could figure out how.

Not impossible in either case, but most of what I've seen are B&W or shadowy Brace images. And, since the Pilots were still the Pilots in spring training 1970, Wayne was only a Brewer for about 5 weeks. That image must be from very early May--a 4 game series the Yankees swept and in which Wayne did not play.

Hoping upon hope, that within this alphabet range there a few Padres coming up. Namely Mike Corkins circa 1974 (non banana uni mind you) and Pat Corrales circa 1972 (full on banana uni)...
