Today's Topps uploads: 271-272 Mike Cosgrove 273-274 Angel Hermoso, 275-277 Ron Herbel, 278-280 Bill Henry, 281-282 Billy Cowan, 283-284 Clint Courtney, 285-286 Marlan Coughtry, 287-288 Chuck Cottier, 289-290 Eugeniuo Cotes, 291-292 Ray Cosey, 293-294 Bob Hendley, 295-298 Vic Correll, 299-300 Joe Costello
Another awesome ID job. But 278 is Herbel, not Henry.

My heartbeat quickened when I hit those Herbels, then crashed at the lack of a Met shot. Ah well. Someday! (And hey, we did get Burright, Cerv, Chilcott and Corcoran of late, plus Merkle's very nice Rusteck. Not bad at all!)

Bob Heise UIN 1967

What's better than one Bob Heise? Two hard to find quality color pics of him later in his career of course.

Courtesy of the TV folders, here's one while suiting up for the BoSox in '75 or '76 and one great pic as part of his swan song in '77 with the Royals.

Tom Heintzelman UIN 1973

Haven't seen too many quality pics of the Cards infielder in color.

TV makes it a reality with a release today for him during the '73 or '74 season....

Note: Ironically, the 1974 Cardinals had on their roster at various points a Heise, Heintzelman, and Heidemann.

Steve Hargan 1965

Topps has gone upload crazy. Two waves today including something I've never seen before: former Cleveland fire baller Steve Hargan in two beautifully lit Doug McWilliams Candlestick Park images from during his rump parliament with the 1977 Braves:

Jim Hegan 1941

Amid all the obscure more recent names, Topps dropped two unusual shots of this 20-year catcher including what I'm confident is his only publicly distributed image with the Giants, with whom he finished 1959. Just for added kicks the image is taken at Seals Stadium.

The other image I won't bother with here, but it's a clear image of Hegan with the 1958-59 Phillies. He is on a card in a color shot in this uniform.

Joe Henderson 1974

One of the tougher to find players from the 1976 edition of The Big Red Machine, which I believe somewhere in a distant galaxy beat the 1976 Yankees again last night for the 175,000th consecutive time.

Ken Heintzelman 1973 (Giants)

I always do that. Ken, of course, was the father. This is TOM)

All images of this second-generation player are scarce but heretofore the only color ones I knew of from his 28-game stint with the 1977-78 Giants were in the HOF (except one very bad shot of him I got warming up a pitcher at the start of an inning at Shea in '78):

No wonder he was so hard to find! (Took nearly a century to find a photo of him).

Wayne Graham Gets 1,100th win at Rice University

Former Phillie & Met, Wayne Graham managed his 1,100th victory at Rice University yesterday. Graham had an 11 year career in pro ball (1957-1967) and was in the Phillies farm system for 9 of those years. He reached the majors briefly with the Phillies in 1963 and with the Mets the following year as a third baseman/outfielder.
He celebrated his 80th birthday two weeks ago on April 6 and is in his 25th year as head coach at Rice..
His coaching record includes a 675-113 (.857 win.pctg.) record at San Jacinto Jr. College (5-time JUCO World Series champion) from 1981 to 1991 and since 1992 he's gone 1,100-453 (.708 winning percentage) at Rice. His teams have gone to the College World Series seven times and he won the CWS national title once (2003). Graham was elected to the College Baseball Hall Of Fame in 2012.
In 2016 Graham's Rice Owls got off to a slow start at 6-7. Since then they have been red hot, winning 18 of their last 22 games to improve to 24-11 overall through April 16. The winning streak returned them once again to Baseball America's Top 25 college baseball team rankings.. They are currently ranked at #13 nationally.

Dto7 found this photo of Aiton as a boxing manager, ca. 1942. Although it's only a rear semi-profile, it's a confirmed image.

Thanks, Don, for tracking Aiton down!

Harry Colliflower 1899
This is taken from a group photo of the Hyattsville (Maryland) semi-pro baseball team that was published on page 8 of the September 22, 1905, edition of the Washington Times. The only other image that I've seen of Colliflower (who played for the Cleveland Spiders in 1899) is a photo that was taken years later when he was an umpire in the American League.

Alonzo "Candy" Harris 1967

A nice pic from Topps for his only major league AB...a SO. Played 6 games with the 1967 Astros, probably as a defensive replacement in late innings.

1972 Roric Harrison phantom

Two nice Vault images of Roric Harrison during his brief, failed attempt to stick with Tigers in 1977. He spent the season in Evensville, was cut March 23, 1978, spent little more than a week with the Pirates before being cut again. The Twins stepped up, and Harrison returned to the show to pitch nine games with Minnesota in 1978.
