I found a team photo of the 1922 Senators without player identifications. I have tentatively identified three of the players, but would like some confirmation from someone more knowledgeable than I. I believe, just based on player height, that the player on the left is Harry Courtney, with Eric Erickson next to him. Walter Johnson is pretty obviously next, and George Mogridge is, I believe, on the right. If my IDs are right, this is a much better picture of Courtney, and a Senators UNI for Erickson.

That is Ericson, Johnson and Mogridge. I don't have a good reference image of Harry Courtney.

My best guess would be that the player is not Courtney but Slim McGrew. Courtney is listed as 5 lbs lighter than Erickson next to him. McGrew at 6'7", 235 seems much more probable.

1888 Syracuse Stars

Stunning image is a first generation as this was from the actual photographic studio that took the shot. Ryder of Syracuse, New York is emblazoned on the mount in sumptuous gold leaf. Team includes Moses Fleetwood Walker the man who broke the first color barrier and was exploited by Cap Anson to create the send one. Balance of this International Association Championship team are Ed Dundon, Mox McQuery, Bones Ely, Bill Higgins, Ollie Beard, Murphy, Rasty Wright, Charles Hackett, Joe Battin, Ed Mars?, Al Schellhase and a second African American player, Robert Higgins. Historically important piece.

Thank you very much, bmarlowe and UKBaseballfan, for the Erickson confirmation and Courtney/McGrew information. I've added Erickson to my teams collection and checked McGrew against the admittedly poor image I have of him (both images shown below). Between the size match and apparent facial resemblance, I agree that it looks like McGrew.
