Game 4 to the Giants by a score of 7-0. That victory now puts them up three games to one in the World Series, with a chance to finish things for the year in the Polo Grounds during Game 5. Can they do it? We'll have to wait and see, of course. That is all. CD out.

Yankees are not ready to give up, it seems. They manage to hold on at least one more day, by winning Game 5 2-1.

Now they get to go to the Bronx, and see if they can win the World Series on their own field, but with no margin for error when it comes to doing so. They must win both games in Yankee Stadium to win another title, and dethrone the current defending MLB champion New York Giants, who'd won in 1933.

The Giants had done that only after they'd come all the way back from a 3-0 deficit against the Detroit Tigers in the 1933 World Series, and winning it in seven games. That is all. CD out.

The 1934 World Series is going to go to a seventh game, seeing as the Yankees have taken Game 6 by a score of 8-2. The Game 7 scheduled starters are Carl Hubbell for the Giants, and Ryan Lorenz for the Yankees. Who will win? Will the defending champions hold onto their crown for another year, or will the Bronx Bombers win their second title in the last four years, having won against the Chicago Cubs in the 1931 World Series?

Whoever wins likely deserves it a good deal this year, for outlasting everyone else, I think. Personally, I don't really want to see the Yankees win, if I have to choose, but at least our nearby NL rivals in Chicago won't be winning this year either, if we can't win like the RL 1934 Cardinals did, in truth. Yankees win Game 7 of the World Series when the Giants catcher throws the ball into the outfield on a steal attempt. Final score of the game is 2-1, and the Yankees win their 5th World Series, including their second one of this saved dynasty. That is all. CD out.

Major League Baseball is done for the year. Standings and World Series results can be seen below. An interesting thing to note, however, is that Carl Hubbell, even though he was on the losing Giants, managed to get the World Series MVP honor. That is all. CD out.

The West Dixie League is done for the year. Standings are shown below, but I can't show you who won each game in the postseason, for some reason. I can show you who won the playoffs in it, though, even if I can't actually show you the results of the relevant playoff games, in truth. That is all. CD out.

The Middle Atlantic League is done for the year. Standings and basic playoff results can be seen below. However, I can't show you exact scores and statistics from the relevant playoff series, for the same reason as i can't for the West Dixie League's playoffs, unfortunately. Cardinals made a trade with the Senators on October 17th, trading first basemen with them. We ship off the 30-year-old Ripper Collins, and receive 28-year-old Joe Kuhel. We will likely be exploring the trading market quite a bit this offseason, at the very least. Please stay tuned for related developments of the Cardinals for the future, as you like and can, everyone. We will import this save into OOTP come January 1, 1935. That is all. CD out.

Grandpa's variables have now been significantly modified to be more in line as to how he should likely have been all along in this game, instead of how they were sometime earlier than now. They might have been significantly out of line possibly due to desired original trait values not taking properly or something else entirely that could have adversely affected them without warning needlessly. Like a computer glitch or something, for instance. Maybe they're not yet totally in line with what they probably should have been earlier, to be honest.

But I now have taken some screenshots as needed for future reference, so if something goes wrong when it shouldn't, somehow, without good reason, I can hopefully correct the errors that might pop up before they become major enough ones here. I hope that won't be needed, but if it is, I'll try to rectify any potential or actual errors as quickly as I can, so that things are fairer for all concerned players and teams in the game and all, of course.

Will write more later, as I can and all, for sure. I can do nothing more to help the Cardinals succeed in 1934, obviously, but I can certainly try to set the Cardinals up for potential domination in 1935 and following seasons, I'm sure. CD out.

Bill Dickey goes to the New York Giants for a potential total of at least $94,400, not counting potential incentives, over four years, if he doesn't opt out of the deal following the 1936 season, at $23,600 a year in base salary. That is all. CD out.

Al Simmons goes from the Athletics to the Pirates in free agency, signing a two-year deal for $16,900. That is all. CD out.

The game has been backed up as of December 31, 1934. All that is left to do for 1934 is the 1934 Almanac. Once that is done, 1934 will be history, and 1935 will begin. I will then import the save into OOTP 19, and continue the save there.

I will do at least one season in OOTP 19, before importing the save to OOTP 20 and continuing for at least one season there, and so on and so forth, until I'm up to my latest available version of OOTP, whether that is 21 or 22 by then. At the present time, I am expecting to play/simulate at least the 1935 season using OOTP 19, moving to OOTP 20 by no later than 1940, and OOTP 21 by no later than 1945. If I have OOTP 22 by the 1950 season, I will likely move to that version as soon as I can, once I complete the season that I'm doing at that time in OOTP 21.

I may continue to play a version of this save in 18, but it will no longer likely be the primary version for it once I have imported it into 19. IF it isn't, then I will note this as needed, when needed, and go from there as needed, desired, appropriate, and all, of course. And the continuation will diverge from that point on. Whichever version of OOTP this save is primarily running in during a season will be considered the Prime Timeline version of this save, and seasons run in preceding versions of OOTP will be considered to be in alternate timelines/worlds/whatever after the relevant points of divergence have occurred.

Buddy Myer tested free agency, but ultimately re-signed with the Senators for six years and $61,200 after doing so. The Senators also land Daniel Doom in free agency, when he chose to move to them from the Dodgers for two years and $20,400. That is all. CD out.

This saved game is being imported into OOTP 19 as I write this. While I may continue it still in OOTP 18, the OOTP 18 version will no longer be the Prime Timeline of this dynasty, as I said earlier. Instead, we will consider the OOTP 18 version an alternate timeline, once the save is able to be satisfactorily continued in OOTP 19.

As that is now going to be the case here, January 1, 1935 will be the point of divergence between this save's OOTP 18 and OOTP 19 versions. So relevant events in both versions will now start to diverge, at least as far as baseball-related matters are concerned here, folks. Just so you all know and understand this here well enough, of course.

The next season's thread will likely be called something along the lines of "[OOTP 19] 1935 St. Louis Cardinals - Feeding the Fledglings," I think. But not quite sure about that yet.
