The St. Louis River Walkers have signed All-Star left fielder Andrew Benintendi to a six-year contract worth $25 million per season.
The 2019 National League MVP, Benintendi has ranked as one of the top players in the Midwest Baseball League since its formation in 2018.

Yesterday, it was All-Star outfielder Andrew Benintendi.
Today, ace right-hander Aaron Nola agreed to a four-year deal worth $25,840,000 per season.
In his three-years with the Walkers, Nola has gone 43-20.

Former St. Louis starting pitcher Trevor Bauer has agreed to a six-year deal worth $21.2 million with Cedar Rapids.
While Bauer went 37-25 in his three seasons with St. Louis.

The River Walkers could not afford to spend the money to keep both Bauer and Aaron Nola.
The team decided to stick with Nola, and signed him to a contract earlier this fall.

Castro was signed for his defensive skills and leadership ability.

That will mark the end of this thread, as we've hit February 1, 2021, the official start of spring workouts for the 2021 season.
I will continue to play with OOTP19 as they work out the bells and whistles with XX.
If I play, a 2022 season, I may move over to playing with the St. Louis Cardinals by than, I probably will purchase OOTPXX at that time.

The St. Louis River Walkers have signed a pair of free agents.
Right-handed relief pitcher Tommy Kahnle and catcher J.T. Realmuto.
The 31-year-old Kahnle agreed to a three-year deal worth $22.5 million.
He spent the 2020 season with Cedar Rapids, where he was 3-3 and a 3.70 ERA in 77 appearances. He posted five saves.
Kahnle is expected to handle the closer's role after the Walkers went with a by-committee approach in 2020.
Realmuto signed a one-year deal worth $1 million. He is expected to backup starting catcher Tucker Barnhart.

In 2020, Realmuto batted .234 with six home runs and 27 RBIs in 99 games for the Chicago G-Men.

The St. Louis River Walkers have re-signed left-handed relief pitcher Jake Diekman to a one-year contract worth $1.5 million.
It will mark Diekman's fourth season with the River Walkers. He was MBL's reliever of the year in 2019 and last season, he was 2-1 with four saves and owned 2.76 ERA in 73 games.

The St. Louis River Walkers have signed infielder Brad Miller to a two-year contract, the second season a team option, worth $1.5 million.
Miller spent last season in Japan, where he hit .291 with 37 home runs and 116 RBIs.
