Silver setup
Still on vacation and on the move, so this isn't a real report, just a quick peek. If no one else picks it up, I'll probably be able to get back into it this weekend. The Mundys are off to a good start.

Gold league:
Lemp Ave bursts out of the gate to lead the pack after the first month of play; but a clump of .600+ teams are keeping them in sight. |

Given my work at home schedule and my level of interest in PT, I'll likely post the standings on Thursday and Saturday. Took a brief peek at the AI management of the Mundys. It seems to reorganize the pitching rather frequently, with 8 or 9 pitchers already making starts so far.

Any “starters” in the bullpen still listed as SP for their official role? Just thinking out loud here…. Sometimes I forget to change that when I move a starter to the pen and only catch it when i look at the pitchers tab and see 6 or more in the SP grouping Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Actually, I turned it over to the AI, so I think I can't set that. It has switched from a four-man to a five-man, revamped the bullpen, change the starter order, among other moves. I tried to change a defensive replacement and could not. It seems to like a lower rated player better. I brought it up only as a curiosity. The fact that it's doing unusual things may actually pique my interest enough to check in once an evening. |

Brooklyn has jumped out to a 21-9 start in their league. Our offense has been awful the past few weeks so I expect it to all come crashing down and hurt inside, but for right now we are flying and have dreams of representing OL in perfect for the very first time.
Naturally we should be sub-.500 by Friday afternoon, because that's how you go full Magus. Tournament side, we're still going full Magus. A continuation of the nothing that I've gotten for the past week+. All we're doing is re-enforcing my thinking that there's something BS going on to prevent me from succeeding. Players and strategies only go so far. When you have to rely on RNG for any kind of success, it's not a good sign whatsoever. When talent and intelligence cannot rise to the top naturally, then there's something TERRIBLY wrong. Last edited by Magus978; 09-14-2021 at 07:25 PM. |

Gold league:
Lemp Ave continues their red hot play, taking an .806 winning pct versus OL competition into June. Not to be overlooked, the Mad Brewers are playing crazy good as well at a .786 winning pct clip vs OL teams. Waffletown and Sonora HS trying their best to keep up with the top dogs. Downside for them (and perhaps the Mad Brewers) is the fact all three are in the same division and will no doubt have a lot of back-n-forth play beating each other up which could hamper them all in the quest for the OL crown. |

Reality set in for the Dynasty yesterday as despite a reasonable day they were pushed out of first place. Also they earned just 3 tournament packs with what looks like several bubble exits, so it looks like my punishment continues with more anti-Magus RNG.

Midweek update:
Annandale looking good for it so far. Cary have no more fixtures, but I didn't check 'till after I'd done the screenshot, so they can stay top for now! |

Mundys Maintain in OL S279
Port Ruppert continued to set the pace up to midseason. Next standings probably won't be until Saturday morning.

Road Dogs and Kops in Dead Heat in OL B225
Dare I say it? Of course, I do! Keystone is in a flatfooted tie with Asheboro at the halfway point. Bluffton lurks after a short schedule, but will swing into action with more than 10 games in July.

How goes it?
Computer Al, manager of mystery for the Mundys, has little patience with his pitchers. All 12 of the hurlers on the roster have started at least once through 81 games and 10 have at least one save. Haven't kept much of an eye on his line-up moves. I think I may let him have control of the roster, just to see who he shuttles in and out. I wonder who he is? Perhaps the progeny of Ring Lardner's sounding board? Hint if you're too young to recognize the name: google "You know me, Al."
Actually, I did google it to check my memory and, more precisely, Al is the sounding board for Jack Keefe, Lardner's main character. I might have to read it again myself. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 09-16-2021 at 07:24 AM. |

Gold league:
An unusually rough patch for Lemp Ave, combined with steady play from Silly and a red-hot Coney Island have shuffled the standings a bit at the halfway mark of the season. Lemp Ave went 4-9 against OL teams last month, while Coney Island went a perfect 7-0, and Silly went 6-4; putting the Mad Brewers atop the standings with Coney Island just a few wins shy. |
