I love Jimmy Wynn but his days in RF might be numbered. I knew he was the type of hitter that doesn't do well in the Perfect Team format but ouch.

Diamond Final
Silly did in fact suffer a collapse losing the last 3 games of the regular season to lose the division title. That left the Mad Brewers in a tie for the second WC. In game 163 SIlly's Steve Carlton served up a 3-run HR to Jackie Robinson in the bottom of the 9th to end Silly's season.
Annandale is the sole OL rep from the AC while Nowhere and Brooklyn who did win their division are playoff bound in the NC. Lemp Ave and Coney Island have been relegated. |

Silver League
Big congratulations to the Gear Terrace Warriors! Paxville dropped a few key games and that was enough. 553 games this week, and a really good league!
It's a fairly quiet playoff picture, but I'm feeling bullish about an OL win. Good luck to Left Coast, but I've a feeling that Gear Terrace and Paxville will play their 1st games of the season against each other in the Silver Series! Now watch as they both get dumped out in the DS... ![]() Have a good Sunday, folks! |

Gold 310
The Cary Southpaws were hot down the stretch and win the OL Gold Crown. Sonora HS Broncs came a close second. Cary won with a very balanced team.
Lots of hot OL teams down the stretch and lots of playoff spots. OL teams won 4 divisions and 2 WCs. Congratulations and the possibility still exists to get 4 promoted teams (I do not believe that has ever happened in Gold). Cary's Joe Morgan led the league in WAR (7.7) and Waffletown's Jackie Robinson had an amazing 5.55 WPA--both MVP candidates. Knockemstiff led the league in pitching WAR (6.9). Port Rupert Mundys were one of the many hot OL teams in September but alas they fell just short of getting out of relegation zone and will be heading to Silver (and likely domination). |

Keepers Crazy Good in September to Claim Crown in OL B283
Asylum assaulted their counterparts to post a 12-4 September and fly past Daytona Beach and Terra Incognita to win the Bronze crown. In PT, OL dominated the playoff picture in the AC, while neither the Tortugas nor Route 66 could break through in the NC. No teams will be relegated.

After Seattle's final game at Port Ruppert, an 18-1 loss, the Stealheadz shuffled off to the team bus with the booming chants of "WE LOVE YOU LUKE" in the background. The Mundys are in for good things!

Until Later
I was glad to be able to post all the OL awards early because I have a few chores and won't be able to check in again until early this evening. I have to admit that, given the available talent on the roster, I was surprised at just how poorly Port Ruppert did. I have never been particularly impressed with the AI maneuvers and tactics, but it turned out to be even more lackluster than I thought. My only other experience with a computer manager was "Hal" in Strat-O-Matic, more than a decade ago. It was far, far superior. Good luck to all the playoff teams.

Best record in the league! We now get to enjoy a 3 and done in the divisional round, because Magus reasons. |

still aspiring to reach Magus-like heights of pessimism and despair but spot on in my pre-congrats, as the Shiners eliminated the Syrups in 5 games.... it's an all-OL LCS at Gold tier with Cary-Knockemstiff and Sonora HS - Seattle looking for a WS title and oh yes, thank you AI for starting the wrong pitcher in game 5 for Waffletown, so instead of game 1 winner Harvey (who took down Martinez 1-0 to open the series); the brilliant PT management trots out a sub-100% Santana (who took a loss in the series) to lose a second game... well done indeed ![]() on the plus side, we stay at Gold yet again |

Current status of G310 Playoffs
So four OL teams will be moving up from Gold to Diamond, since all four teams in the sub-league series are OL teams. Thus it is guaranteed that an OL team will win the series.

Nowhere is trailing 2-1 to Waco in the Diamond Series. I wont be logging in to OOTP again today to see if they can come back.
My teams are set for next week. I will be on the road through October 18th so my participation is going to be extremely limited. Good luck to all in the coming week |

The fulfilling of the prophecy continues. Sundays are a waste of my time when the outcome is the same. The sweet nectar of failure. This is why I don't make any changes on Sunday before playoffs. It is already determined that I am not allowed to make perfect league (this would be a PR nightmare for all involved).
