The Draft Pool has been announced.
The prize of this year is Pete Alexander, but we have no chance of getting him. We will be extremely lucky to get someone like Tillie Walker. More likely it will be someone like Rip Williams.

The Superbas are at #2 on the Weekly Power Rankings, behind the Doves for some inexplicable reason.

The Giants made it dramatic in the 9th, scoring a run and loading the bases, but Doc White got out of it and the Superbas won, 3-1. With that win, the Brooklyn Superbas have clinched the NL Championship! This is the 2nd year in a row and 3rd in four years. This is the 4th pennant for them in the 10 years this league has been running, tying them with the Pirates for the most. WP - Doc White (10-3) LP - Ed Willett (3-5) Record - 88-62

The same day that Brooklyn won the NL, the Philadelphia Athletics won the AL.
The Athletics have won the last two World Series, including over the Superbas last year. Time for a rematch!

Players of the Week: Harry Wolter, Doves & Nap Lajoie, Athletics
The Superbas slipped a spot to #3 on the Weekly Power Rankings. The Athletics are at #4. (It is almost like the teams that clinched eased off a little... almost.)

The Superbas decided to roll the dice and put Bob Bescher on the playoff roster. He won't be available until Game five on the earliest, but they decided they would rather have him than an extra pitcher.

The Athletics led the AL in both Runs Scored and Runs Against.
The Superbas were 3rd and 2nd in the NL. Despite that, looking at the team, head-to-head, Brooklyn has the better player at each position, though Ed Walsh has the edge over Doc Whit eon the mound. This should be an interesting series.
