September 5th, 1992

Dave Summers had to leave the game after facing only one batter which could have been a problem but the bullpen rallied around him and the Jays beat the Twins, 10-5.

Dan Gates went 3 for 4 with a home run. Also going deep for Toronto were Lawrence Leverett, Bret Boone, and Manuel Garcia.

Cristian Torres joined Summers in the Trainer's Room after the game.

Mike Norman of Cornwall was named Player of the Week for his AAA league.

Gunner Lewis of Lethbridge did the same for his Short A league.

Darren Rice of Woodstock won for this Rookie league.

For the Bigs it was Fred Turner, Yankees & Brady Anderson, Reds

The Blue Jays have climbed to #21 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Mike Norman is called up to the Jays.

Tom Henke blew a three-run lead in the 9th and the Royals walked off the Jays, 6-5, in the 11th.

It wasted a strong outing by Howard Richmond.

Rheal Cormier struggled in his previous two appearances, but this time he was at the top of his game. He gave up only 3 hits in a complete game, 2-1 Toronto win over the Royals.

Howard Richmond matched Greg Maddux inning-by-inning. But when Richmond started to falter, the Jays went to their bullpen. When Maddux started to falter, the Rangers stuck with him.

The Jays beat the Rangers, 3-0.
