The rather distinctive near-unibrow is my best defense that he could be the guy -- that, and he pitched in the Angels system from 1976-78, the last two years in AAA.

The eyes look a bit darker and the ears are definitely different.

One way to find out would be to contact Dr. Racanelli. Also, he may know the ID of the LHP that also has the unibrow in pics 197-198.

Thanks, and when I get to the Cardinals, I won't even think about asking for a Tom Underwood...
Apparently you and I have the same disease....expanding project seventy-itis

I have an action pic of Ramon that I could have sworn was out on the thatsmyboy03 site but it appears to have been taken down. I have it but its already been made into a card so not sure it's of any use to you. (I certainly could try and take a better pic if needed)

Perhaps the pic from the 1977 pin up will do from the eBlueJay site?

A few pics with the Mets but have never seen this one. Not life-changing but it's something. From this eBay sale.

Mike Hershberger 1961

As with many of the A's who moved with the club from Kansas City to Oakland, good color of them in the "A" cap worn in the latter city is hard to find. Here's the veteran outfielder in camp with the '68 team in an image that was later used on the 1969 MLBPA "stamps" - but with the cap logo air-brushed.

Tom Murphy Blue Jays

Looking for a decent color image of Mr. Murphy that isn't his 1979 Topps card.

Frank Panick - Topps Vault KF 199 & 200

The baseball card of Panick is from the 1977 Salt Lake City Gulls set. Panick was a non-roster invitee with the Angels in 1975.

I have a hunch on the identity of KF 197 & 198. However, because I'm not certain, I'm continuing to look through all the pitchers who were on the spring rosters or were NRI's of the Angels during the 1973-1985 period. The patch on Panick's uniform leads me to believe that's the period in question. The photos of the lefty in KF 197 & 198 don't permit us to view the patch, but I assume he's from the same period. Once I complete the process, I'll post my hunch, or if I have a better match, I'll post that. I have viewed a photo of Frank Kenyon and don't believe it is he.

Chuck Gibbon - Topps Vault KF 197 & 198?

Having viewed all the Angel lefties who were non-major leaguers in spring camps during the 1973-1985 period, the best guess I can come up with for KF 197 & 198 is Chuck Gibbon. He was a non-roster invitee with the Angels in 1976.

My only exemplar of Gibbon is a poor quality photo from the El Paso Herald Post of April 14, 1976. It shows him when he was with the El Paso Diablos. From the photos, it appears as though he could have the same full eyebrow line across his face as our unidentified players, but it's hard to tell. The facial structure appears similar.

Anything of Bob from his brief appearance with Detroit in 1977?

If this Facebook site has already been posted, I apologize. These are colorizations of classic black and white baseball photographs. Truly gorgeously done.

Hank Bauer 1948

Posted more for the venue than the player. There is just a handful of major league in-season photos taken during the one season (1961) when the Angels called Wrigley Field/Los Angeles home. This is one of them.

Monday's Topps uploads (KF) 207-210 Felipe Alou; 211-212 Hank Bauer; 213-214 Coley Smith (Twins system, P); 215-216 Ray Monzant; 217-218 Frankie George (Angels system, OF); 219-220 Reggie Walton; 221-222 Leo Vargas (Braves system, OF); 223-224 Mark Kuecker (Giants system, IF); 225-226 John Pregenzer; 227-228 Rod Allen (tentative); 229-230 Neil Allen; 231-232 Mike Allen (Padres system, P); 233-234 Eddie Jurak; 235-236 Tim Juran (Mets system, P); Tim Kammeyer (Angels system RHP); 239-242 Paul Blair; 243-246 Vida Blue.
