For my future reference as well as others, does a Rule V acquisition who was returned to his original club -- and who never appeared in the majors -- belong in the minor league thread or is he considered worthy? I have a photo of him with the team who drafted him but did not keep him!

If he ever played in the majors (or was a Sharmanite), he belongs here. If he was a career minor leaguer, he belongs in the minor league thread.

Having heard no public or private objection to starting a new thread, I launched the General Baseball Image Discussion thread today. As I mentioned in my post this past weekend, my intent is to re-sharpen the focus of this thread to those topics and posts related to the Facepack, Pegasus27 Batters Pack and Pitchers Pack, and as a function of these projects, the ongoing Topps Vault catalog. Other topics and posts related to major league images and player discussions are better placed in the new thread, for which I have added a link in the lower-right corner of my signature.

In the coming weeks I will move off-topic posts from this thread to the new thread while we all become more accustomed to the new format.

I noticed that it has been a few months since you have been able to update the UIN file that has gone into such detail for missing photos. I have posted at least one file of updates here, but I wanted to go ahead and pass along some newer revisions I've seen before I lose them.

I've tried to keep up but since November I've been less comprehensive in my forum review and list updating. If there are UIN updates I've missed beyond those you posted, please let me know.

Photoshopped images such as the Pizarro/A's image generally do not qualify for the UIN list. Neither Pegasus nor I consider them "true" player/team images, realizing that this may result in some UIN entries remaining on the list in perpetuity.

...as described by the fabricator, is a "transplant" job (and I might add an obvious one; the face is lit by a flash, probably in an image taken after dark, but the rest of the image clearly shows daylight).

The reason it took so long for me to accomplish this was because I could never find an image of him in an Oakland uniform in color, so I resorted to some Photoshop work and came up with what you see here for the long time hurler.

His mention of "...an image of him in an Oakland uniform in color..." (emphasis mine) leads me to believe that there may be at least a B&W image out there somewhere, though I have not seen one.
