Overall none of them are too outlandish or don't fit the theme. Some are a little weird, but we've long since crossed that line haha.

Most of the "city" names will remain the same as unused locations in my dynasty. However, after looking through at a few of the nicknames, I will make a few changes. Before I started the dynasty, I made a comprehensive list of all perks, as well as collecting creatures, weapons, etc., as potential nicknames. A lot of these were the ones I skipped over through all of my other team naming. For some of them (armorer, blacksmith, for example), I remember why when I look again at the potential logos. I am going to revisit each of these sites and determine if there is something I like better. This may also be a chance to work in a new crease in the crossover now that I have a new character to introduce soon.

CBO - Unknown Players

While in the middle of searching for something from the 2296 season, I came across a player named Jaime Antman that I did not remember. Clicking on him revealed that Mr. Antman has been a member of the Abernathy Adamantium for all of 2296-2304, meaning that he is in his 9th season of being in the CBO, and I have no idea who he is. So, along with Antman, I want to find a few more "hidden" players and tell a bit of their story. In time I will, but for now, let's start with the man found.

Jaime Antman, SS, Abernathy, 2296-2304
Drafted in the 17th round of the 2296 Inaugural draft, the Bridgewater native spent his first six seasons as purely a backup. In 2302, he started 10 games. This season, he has started a career-high 42 games. The 35-year-old has appeared in 425 games in his career. he has a career .226 average with five home runs and 48 runs batted in.

Yeah, graphic design is the hardest part of any project, but coming prepared really helps. It's a good thing there's so many options.

That's what I love about the big universes I was mentioning recently, they're so big, it's futile to try to cover everything (not saying the level of detail you provide is too much, though, of course!). It allows for suddenly hidden gems to appear out of no where. I'm really looking forward to who the game thinks deserves to be in the hall of fame when we get that far. In OOTP's current state, I think the hall of fame is my favorite "out of the box feature". I like the customization more, of course, because we get things like this creative Fallout Baseball universe, but that's "user-made content" in my book, not a "feature", other than the fact that it's a feature that it's so easy to create it.

The talent of the league is volatile (Bryan Assman as Exhibit A), so it will be interesting who can maintain longterm success to be HOF worthy. I will probably control the HOF to put in the people I want. I used to have a HOF formula that included a dice roll. I wonder if I still have it...

Anyway, a quick look at the hitters and pitchers seeming to be on pace include:
1B Barker Cocoa, UP
CF Ben Pawlak, FtH
C Biter Trout, Star
SS Austin Engill, UP
1B Zeldolph Violet, CC
SP Beachboy Nut, NB
SP Sheng Kawolski, DC
SP Derek Green, FtH
SP Scruffy Taguchi, Atom

Close but not quite as good or long of a resume:
RF Tomas Jones, UP
RF Joe Rathmann, FHE
CF Ricky Ticky Laughy, ST
LF Michael Fogcrawler, NB
LF Dan Erb, Con
1B Oren Gep, DC
RF Jonathan Angelou, NB
RF Babs Rooth, CC
1B/SP Lannie Tykeson, ET
SP Phlip Wallace, UP (age probably will limit stats)
SP X10-44 Mannson, FtH
SP Bow Rome, FHE
SP Tony Bertha, UP
SP Ugio Church, NB
SP Nuka Laloosh, Rox
SP Chet Arthur, Good
SP Gavin Eviritts, CC
SP Chris Teddybear, JP
SP Quentin Malone, V81
SP Pete Pembroke, Atom

August 2304 - BNN Weekly Report

BNN Weekly Report

This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL

by Nat Wright-Kawolski

22 August 2304

Analysis

We have now hit the 100-game mark in the 2304 CBO season. There are just four weeks to go in the season, and now the playoff outlook is getting much clearer. Three teams are in the playoffs: County Crossing, Nordhagen Beach, and Roxbury. Two others could punch their tickets this week depending on results: University Point and Sunshine Tidings. Not coincidentally, four of these five teams are in the Power Rankings' Top 5 with the Chemists just outside at #6. Let's take a look at the Power Rankings and the Playoff Outlook.

Roxbury returns to #1 this week, going 9-1 in their last 10 with a close loss to a good team. The Rad Sox swept Goodneighbor (#14) in 34 innings of play in the two-game series, swept Diamond City (#9), split with University Point (#3), and swept Vault 81 (#16).

County Crossing had been the CBO's hottest team and might still be. From July 30 until August 19, the Bloodbugs did not lose, winning 15 straight games. That streak came to a close two days ago, but the Bugs still managed a 9-1 record in their last 10. CC swept Concord (#17), swept Easy Town (#10), swept Lexington (#15), and then won two of three at The Slog (#23).

University Point is #3 after an 8-2 stretch in their last 10. The Deathclaws swept the Dwellers, won two of three at Spectacle Island (#21), split with the Sox, and swept Quincy (#22).

The second-place team in the Brotherhood League but bound for the playoffs for the eighth-straight season, Nordhagen Beach went 7-3 in their last 10 to claim the #4 spot. The Party Boys split at Starlight (#12), won two of three over Finch Farm (#18), swept the Radstags, and won two of three at the Assaultrons.

Jamaica Plain, second in the Minutemen League, closes out the Top 5. In their last ten, the Red Rockets went 6-4. The Rockets swept Oberland (#19), won two of three over Goodneighbor (#14), split with Egret (#20), and won one of three at Atom (#7).

Playoff Outlook

If the playoffs were to start today, these would be the seeds in the playoffs:

NCA - 1) County Crossing, 2) Sunshine Tidings, 3) Nordhagen Beach, 4) Fort Hagen, 5) Easy Town

SCA - 1) Roxbury, 2) University Point, 3) Jamaica Plain, 4) Diamond City, 5) Atom

NCA Outlook - This race will probably be over in the next week or two. The winners of the both the Brotherhood and Institute leagues are still in doubt with the Bugs leading by four games and the Chemists leading by three. Easy Town is too far behind to catch the Boys in the BL, and Lexington and Starlight are too far behind Fort Hagen to compete for the 2nd place bid in the IL. Likewise, the Assaultrons have an 11-game lead over both the Synths and Lady Killers for the 5th spot. In other words, we know our playoff teams, but we still will follow the league pennant races.

SCA Outlook - Roxbury has a magic number of 2 to claim their second-straight Railroad League championship. That means they will claim the league title this week and will play to clinch the #1 overall seed the rest of the season. The Minutemen League has a race in the Deathclaws and Rockets. At 55-45, both Atom and Diamond City have only one team to fend off: FHE. Should the Yao Guai get hot and either the Cats or Swatters go cold, then there could be a shake-up in the South Charles Association.

Yeah, I assumed you'd pick your own, which is understandable, for story purposes, and I completely agree is fair. I'm just always interested in hearing what the AI has to say. For example, I just finished the 2046 season on my no-frills long time multi-version save today. I always vote for the max number of players to enter the hall (and even rule changed to allow more votes when the league expanded), but thanks to AI voting, the 2047 class has 0 new inductees... just fascinating. So I appreciate the story list, but I'd also like to hear what "PAM" thinks, haha

Season Pass Association Playoffs News

by Evan Guy

30 August 2304

2304 Season Pass Association Series a Victory-Dalton Farm Matchup

The 2304 Season Pass Association Series will feature two teams returning to the series for their second attempt at victory.

The Dalton Farm Fog Crawlers (VL) won the 2303 SPA Series after sweeping the Cherry Ghoulrillas in seven games. The Victory Cave Crickets (NWL) were swept in the 2302 SPA Series by the Echo Lake Harbormen.

Both the Ghoulrillas and the Far Harbor Ghoul Whales, the winners of the Vim! League in 2301, were also vying for their return trip to the SPA Series, but both teams fell in seven games. Stories below.

Victory Wins Nuka Series

The Victory Cave Crickets were good enough to get past the Cherry Ghoulrillas at John-Caleb Bradberton Honorary Field today and secure the 2nd championship in franchise history.

"When you wear Cave Crickets on your shirt, you're good at something," Victory skipper Trader Patterson told the press.

Cave Crickets first baseman Settler Colon was named MVP of the series after he went .515 with 6 home runs and 19 RBI.

"It feels totally incredible," Colon said. "I could live to 1,000 years old and I'd remember this moment."

The new champions capped off a great season with a 13-9 victory over the Ghoulrillas to win the Nuka Series 4-3.

Dalton Farm Takes Game 7 for Vim! Series Victory

It's party time in Dalton Farm. The confetti is flying and residents are smiling.

The Dalton Farm Fog Crawlers have reached the mountaintop, capturing the 2304 Vim! Series today. They defeated the Far Harbor Ghoul Whales 10-5 at Blood Tide Stadium to officially wrap up the series 4-3.

Asked how it feels to be a champion, right fielder Mat Sutor was to the point.

"It feels great, like a million bucks. I'm so happy right now, not just for me but for all the guys," he said. "We put a lot of work into this and deserve to be champions."

The team is planning a victory parade and fan appreciation day later in the week. Dalton Farm finished the regular season 55-35 and claimed first place in the Vim! League Fog Division.

APL - Disciples Take Title

The Bradberton Disciples are champions, today and forever. The Disciples topped the Galactic Zone G-Force 8-7 at Star Core Stadium at the Galactic Zone today to claim the Amusement Park Series crown.

"Nobody can take this away from us, not ever," said series MVP and second baseman Savoy Slurp after his club had sealed the victory. "We worked hard and we accomplished our goal."

The atmosphere was electric as the newly-crowned champs stormed the field at the conclusion of the game. Fans cheered, gloves flew in the air, high fives and hugs were the order of the day.

"From day one of spring training, I could see it in their eyes," said Bradberton manager Slosh Nicklepenny. "The players had that look of intensity, of hunger, of a desire to accomplish something great, and today they did that. They're champions of the world."

The Disciples took the series 4-2. The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the APL North Division and a 49-35 record.

MDIL - Oceanarium Crowned Champions

The Oceanarium Oceanics pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the Mount Desert Island Series in a hard-fought series with the Southwest Harbor Rippers.

It was a seesaw affair, but with a 4-3 victory at Uncle Ken Park, Oceanarium lay claim to the franchise's 2nd championship.

"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Chris Barrientos. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."

The champs finished the regular season 55-35 and claimed first place in the Old Longfellow Division.

A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Oceanarium in the days to come.

September 2304 - Month in Review

BNN Monthly Report

Last Month in the CBO, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues

by Nat Wright-Kawolski

1 September 2304

Month's Outstanding Players

CBO

NCA Hitter - Michael Fogcrawler of the Nordhagen Beach Party Boys stood out in August with a .376 batting average against North Charles Association pitchers to land him the Batter of the Month award.

The 26-year-old left fielder totaled 14 home runs, 30 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He also chipped in 12 walks for a .449 on-base percentage.

So far this year Fogcrawler has 37 home runs and a .291 batting average.

SCA Hitter - Tomas Jones of the University Point Deathclaws was named the South Charles Association's best batter for his fine performance in August.

He compiled a .427 batting average and .444 on-base percentage during the month. In 22 games he piled up 38 hits, 12 home runs, 34 RBIs and 21 runs scored.

Thus far this year Jones is batting .319 with 32 home runs, 108 RBIs and 74 runs scored.

NCA Pitcher - Jesse Bibeault was the #1 pitcher in August according to the voters. He completely shut down opposing teams to win the North Charles Association Pitcher of the Month Award.

County Crossing's star reliever held the opposition to a .250 average and put up 10 saves and 16 strikeouts in 11.1 innings with a 2-0 mark and a 0.79 ERA.

In 2304 Bibeault has collected 30 saves. He has 53 strikeouts and 27 walks in 46 innings while registering a 3.13 ERA and a 4-4 won-lost record.

SCA Pitcher - The premier pitcher this past month in the South Charles Association was Jerry Weisman of the FHE Yao Guai. He was one mighty tough pitcher, finishing August with a sensational 5-0 record and a 2.25 ERA.

The Yao Guai star made 6 starts and surrendered 39 hits in 44 innings. He struck out 28 and walked 13.

In 26 starts this year Weisman has recorded a 13-7 record and a 4.44 ERA.

NCA Rookie - John Windman's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young The Slog first baseman has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month.

In August he was voted the Rookie of the Month.

During the month he hit .309 with 6 doubles, no triples and 11 home runs. Windman also scored 15 times and drove in 29 runs.

Windman is batting .232 with 21 home runs and 67 RBIs this season.

SCA Rookie - Diamond Ball earned August's Rookie of the Month honors in the South Charles Association for last month's performance. The boyish Spectacle Island second baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level.

Ball hit .333 with 7 home runs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award.

Ball is currently hitting at a .319 pace with 36 home runs and 72 RBIs.

BMU

Regular Season Winners
CA Dark Hollow Pond League - Greentop Nursery Night People (Atom) 48-40
CA Cambridge League - Union Hope Lifegivers (Oberland) 56-32
MA Downtown League - Cabot House Triggermen (Nordhagen Beach) 60-28
MA Glowing Sea League - Eastlake Aquaboys (County Crossing) 54-34

CA Hitter - Machete Thompson battered Commonwealth Association pitchers all August and wound up taking home the Batter of the Month Award.

"I've been around Boston Minor Union long enough to know you really have to work hard day in and day out to be able to put up this kind of consistency," the 32-year-old Thompson told reporters. "I put in a lot of work, even on the days I might not take the field, and it's always nice when everything comes together for me like it did this last month."

In 22 games, Thompson hit .333 with 20 home runs, 39 RBIs and scored 22 runs.

This season Thompson is hitting .317 with 26 hits, 21 home runs, 41 RBIs, scored 23 runs and played in 24 games.

MA Hitter - Justin Loki has a lot going for him. The Eastlake right fielder just broke into the majors this year and now the Massachusetts Association has just picked him as its top hitter for August.

In 22 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .368 with 16 home runs, 32 RBIs and 22 runs scored.

So far this year Loki is batting .337 with 29 home runs, 54 RBIs and 45 runs scored.

CA Pitcher - Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Randy Kaplan of the Everett Mutant Hounds. He captured the Commonwealth Association Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in August.

Kaplan started 5 games, threw 36.2 innings, yielded 25 hits and logged a 4-0 record. He put down 25 batters on strikes, walked 5 and compiled a 0.98 ERA. Opposing teams batted .192 against him.

This year Kaplan has a 7-3 record with a 2.45 ERA in 13 starts.

MA Pitcher - When Aaron Demps takes the mound, a Cabot House victory is usually the result. That was the case in August.

That's why he was voted the Massachusetts Association Pitcher of the Month.

Demps throttled league hitters the whole month with an impressive 4-0 mark and 1.35 ERA in 5 starts. The Triggermen star hurler also rung up 24 strikeouts in 33.1 innings.

This year Demps has registered 12 wins and 2 losses in 22 starts with a 1.70 ERA while registering 116 strikeouts and 54 walks in 148 innings.

You know, while we're on the subject... I never noticed before, maybe it just hasn't come up in the pictures that have been shared, or maybe I've scrolled too fast... but the Victory's motif when on the game skin... is really a cut above the rest... Grade A, almost enough to instantly boot the others in that league out and make them who I support haha (but I'm not that fickle). Logo just pops more than the others, got a great texture.

September 2304 - BNN Weekly Report

BNN Weekly Report

This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL

by Nat Wright-Kawolski

5 September 2304

Analysis

We are now down to the final 10 games of the 2304 season. With 110 games played, there are six teams in, 11 teams out, and four teams still to clinch their spot in the playoffs. Roxbury is the only team that has clinched their league title, while three more could do it this week. We'll break down the playoff outlook below. But first, the Top 5.

Red-hot University Point is this week's #1 team, still trying to fend off equally hot Jamaica Plain (#4) in the Minutemen League. In their last 10, the Deathclaws have gone 9-1 with a sweep over Egret (#20), a two of three series win over Goodneighbor (#15), another sweep of the Ninjas, and a sweep of Quincy (#23). With a three-game lead, the Claws are the least likely team to clinch their league this week.

County Crossing comes in at #2. The North Charles Association's best team, the Bloodbugs went 8-2 in their last 10 and now hold a five-game lead in the Brotherhood League with 10 to play. The Bugs Swept Abernathy (#24), won two of three over Finch Farm (#14), swept the Adamantium again, and won two of the three at Salem (#19).

The CBO's best team, holding a five-game lead for the South Charles Association's #1 seed, Roxbury is #3 in the Power Rankings. In their last 10, the Rad Sox swept Atom (#11), won one of three versus FHE (#10), swept the Hancocks, and won two of three at Oberland (#18).

As mentioned above, the Red Rockets are #4. The Rockets went 9-1 in their last ten and can clinch at least the #3 seed with two wins, two Diamond City (#7) losses, or one win and one Swatters loss. In the last two weeks, Jamaica Plain swept Vault 81 (#13), swept the Gunners, split with the Dwellers, and swept Spectacle Island (#22).

Nordhagen Beach rounds out the Top 5, going 7-3 in their last 10. With the second-best NCA record, the Party Boys have clinched at least the three seed in the NCA. The Boys were swept by Concord (#9), swept the Witch Hats, split with Sunshine Tidings (#6), and swept Easy Town (#12).

Playoff Outlook

If the playoffs were to start today, these would be the seeds in the playoffs:

NCA - 1) z-County Crossing, 2) z-Sunshine Tidings, 3) z-Nordhagen Beach, 4) Fort Hagen, 5) Easy Town
Still alive: Concord

SCA - 1) x-Roxbury, 2) z-University Point, 3) z-Jamaica Plain, 4) Diamond City, 5) Atom
Still alive: FHE, Vault 81

NCA Outlook -
Sunshine Tidings - Seed prediction: 1. Clinched a playoff spot. Leads the Brotherhood League by five games. Magic number for #1 seed and BL title is six games.
Sunshine Tidings - Seed prediction: 2. Clinched a playoff spot. Leads the Institute League by six games. Cannot be the #1 seed. Magic number for #2 seed and IL titles is five games.
Nordhagen Beach - Seed prediction: 3. Clinched a playoff spot. Trails for the BL by five games. Has clinched at least the #3 seed. Can only be #1 or #3.
Fort Hagen - Seed prediction: 4. Trails for the IL lead by six games. Leads Concord by nine games for IL's #2 seed. Magic number is 1 to clinch the #4 seed. Can be only the #2 or #4 seed.
Easy Town - Seed prediction: 5. Leads Concord for the wildcard spot by eight games. Magic number is 3 for clinching the fifth seed.
Concord - Seed prediction: none. Trails by a lot. Needs to pretty much win the rest and have either the Silver Shroud or Assaultrons lose out to make the playoffs.

SCA Outlook -
Roxbury - Seed prediction: 1. Clinched the Railroad League title. Leads University Point by five games for the #1 seed. Magic number is 6 to clinch the #1 seed.
University Point - Seed prediction: 2. Clinched a playoff spot. Leads the Minutemen League by three games. Magic number is 8 to clinch the ML and at least the #2 seed.
Jamaica Plain - Seed prediction: 3. Clinched a playoff spot. Trails in the ML by three games. Magic number is 1 to clinch at least the #3 seed.
Diamond City - Seed prediction: 4. Leads FHE by five games for Railroad League's second spot. Magic number is 6 for clinching the #4 seed. Can only be #4 or #5 seed.
Atom - Seed prediction: none. Leads the wildcard spot by two games. Can only be the #5 seed. Magic number is 9 to clinch the #5 seed.
FHE - Seed prediction: 1. Trails Diamond City by five games for #4 seed and Atom by two games for the #5 seed. Needs a successful two-week stretch and help to earn playoff spot. Faces the Swatters in a three-game series to complete the season. Can be #4 or #5 seed.
Vault 81 - Seed prediction: none. Trails the Cats by eight games for the #5 seed. Needs to win the rest and have both the Cats and Yao Guai falter.

I found those caps on the internet a long time ago and edited them to reflect the team names chosen. I like all of them for their themes with Nuka-Cola and the baseball logo. I also have a few more in reserve should the league ever expand.

Playoffs almost set, but the Minutemen League has started to get exciting! Jamaica Plain and University Point are red hot -- bodes well for both in the playoffs even though one has to be a wild card. I still think Roxbury will repeat, but I wouldn't count out the team that comes away with the division here

I only worked a half virtual day today, so I had some time for OOTP simming.

I just got through the next week of games in sims. TWO league races just got as tight as tight could be, as well as one wildcard race.

Yeah it seemed like people were ready to throw in the towel on drama early on, but to keep tooting the horn, that's the thing about these big universes. *Something* will always happen late, haha, there's just so much.

September 2304 - BNN Weekly Report

BNN Weekly Report

This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL

by Nat Wright-Kawolski

19 September 2304

Analysis

The 2304 season has come to a conclusion, and the best 10 teams are now clinched for the playoffs with Roxbury (91-29) and County Crossing (86-34) possessing their association's top records.

A quick glance at PAM's preseason predictions shows that there are a few surprises but not that significant a number. For example, PAM's association winner picks were County Crossing and Atom. She also had Sunshine Tidings (predicted tiebreaker winner over Concord) and Roxbury winning their leagues.

For playoff teams missed, PAM had the Radstags in and Easy Town out in the North Charles Association and FHE in and Diamond City out in the South Charles Association. Here are the playoff final seeds with PAM's picks in parentheses:

NCA: 1) County Crossing (1), 2) Sunshine Tidings (2), 3) Nordhagen Beach (3), 4) Fort Hagen (5), 5) Easy Town (6)

SCA: 1) Roxbury (2), 2) Jamaica Plain (5), 3) University Point (3), 4) Diamond City (6), 5) Atom (1)

We're not going to break down the Power Rankings in full, but instead take a look at the playoff outlook for the 2304 season. As a reference, the Top 5 are: 1) Roxbury, 2) County Crossing, 3) Jamaica Plain, 4) Nordhagen Beach, 5) Atom

NCA

Of the five playoff teams, no team stood out more than any other over the last two weeks. In fact, four of the five playoff teams were 6-4 in their last 10 games with Sunshine Tidings limping in with a 4-6 week, though they did go 4-1 in their last five.

In the Institute League, Fort Hagen faded away in the end, getting surprisingly swept in their final series at Starlight after battling to a series split with County Crossing earlier in the week. That leaves the Silver Shroud come sin at the #4 seed, which has not historically been a barrier for them in terms of reaching their goals. In fact, last season, the Shroud also came in as the #4 seed and beat out Sunshine Tidings, Nordhagen Beach, and Concord on their way to their third Sole Survivor Series before succumbing to Roxbury in seven games.

Overall, the NCA playoffs look similar to the 2303 version with last season's #2 seed and the NCA runners-up, Concord, being the only team not returning with the Assaultrons taking their place. For Easy Town, they return to the playoffs for the first time since 2300 and make only their third playoff appearance ever. In 2298, the Trons propelled themselves all the way to the first year of the full CBO's NCA champions, eventually falling to Goodneighbor in the Sole Survivor Series. However, that team looked much different than this year's team.

County Crossing stayed at arm's length ahead of Nordhagen Beach all season in the Brotherhood League. Both teams are good at just every position and ideally should be the two teams battling for the NCA crown this season. In a series that had traditionally been in favor of the Beach Boys, that dynamic has shifted to even odds. In fact, each team won six games versus the other in 2304, meaning a matchup in the NCA Championship Series would be an epic battle.

Quick prediction in the playoffs:
Shroud over Assaultrons
Bloodbugs over Shroud
Party Boys over Chemists
Boys over Bugs

SCA

The SCA may be in trouble based on the way the defending champions, the Roxbury Rad Sox, finished the 2304 season. The Sox won their last 11 games of the season, clinching the CBO record for wins (91) and winning percentage (.758) in the process, shattering Nordhagen Beach's 2301 season (79-29, .731).

Other than the Minutemen League's Jamaica Plain's quadruple threat of Digger Vadim (17-2, 2.25), Chris Teddybear (17-7, 2.80), Chris Deathclaw (11-7, 2.47), and Tim Fusion (19-5, 3.16), the Sox sport a dominant starting four in Nuke Laloosh (14-5, 2.49), Eugene Gym (16-6, 2.74), College Luckyman (15-6, 2.70), and Whokill Poole (18-4, 3.20). A clash of these two titan pitching staffs would be epic!

While people were down on Diamond City, thinking their six-season playoff streak would come to an end, the two-time CBO champions return for their seventh-straight playoff appearance. The Swatters will face off as the #4 seed against a suddenly-hot Atom team that swept its last two series to fend off FHE's bid for the #5 seed.

University Point limps into the playoffs, losing its final five games and going 1-9 in its last 10 to blow its ML lead over the Red Rockets. The top hitting team in the SCA, the Deathclaws may not quite have the pitching punch it needs to overcome either Jamaica Plain or Roxbury. However, they do get to face off with their rival Rockets in the semifinals, with the teams going 6-6 against each other in the regular season.

Quick prediction in the playoffs:
Cats over Swatters
Sox over Cats
Rockets over Claws
Rad Sox over Red Rockets

Sole Survivor Series prediction: Roxbury 4, Nordhagen Beach 2

Players of the Week

NCA

September 12 - At the age of 27, Zeldolph Violet might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The County Crossing first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .579 batting average. For his efforts Violet collected the North Charles Association Player of the Week Award.

He racked up 11 hits in 19 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 RBIs last week in 5 games.

Violet is currently batting .345 with 22 home runs, 82 RBIs and 74 runs scored. He has 140 hits in 406 at-bats.

September 19 - Ross Merchantman has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 22-year-old third baseman of the Lexington Synths had a hot bat in the North Charles Association over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.

Merchantman batted .476 with 10 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs and 12 RBIs.

Merchantman is currently batting .281 with 27 home runs and 103 RBIs.

SCA

September 12 - The marquee name in the South Charles Association this week is Donny Kowalski of the FHE Yao Guai.

The hot-hitting 26-year-old first baseman put up a .435 average and .440 on-base percentage, piling up 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored.

That kind of hitting got him the SCA Player of the Week honors.

September 19 - It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Joe Rathmann, the FHE Yao Guai 25-year-old right fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for South Charles Association Player of the Week honors.

He ripped 11 hits in 23 at-bats, compiling a .478 average with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs.

This year Rathmann has socked 139 hits in 456 at-bats for a .305 average with 27 home runs. He is getting on base at a .427 pace and his totals also include 83 RBIs and 90 runs scored.

Sounds like maybe some late-season parity then, if that's what people wanted, better late than never.

I don't think it really can be predicted, but I'm gonna do a dart board guess and say the Chemists.

If I'm right, Oren Gep's post playing career is as a sports statistician/psychic who uses the sight to rip people off.

I have made a note to check again in ten years to prepare Gep for his post-CBO career!
