Pirates finish second to Cards 9 games out. Closed to four in Sept. Key was merely splitting the two 2 game series in Sept with the Cards.
Python has the Pirates with 91 wins, Cards with 85. Have to score at the right times. Al Oliver is the NL Batting Champion with a .343 average. He led the NL in hits with 217. He set personal highs in HRs (23), RBI (109), and runs scored (101). Pirates led MLB in attendance with 2.7m, 500k more than the Dodgers. Seventh in total revenue at $9.4m. Dodgers lead with $12.8m. Still wondering if there will be a market size increase.

Dodgers and Braves ended tied in the West. LA won the one game playoff. Maintained first place position on attendance but only about 80k ahead of the Dodgers and White Sox. Overall revenue is 7th. It's fortunate that the owner is more interested in winning than in profit.
