Lent and Isael Soto homered for Toronto.

Konner Wade left the game with a hamstring tweak, but we are told he won't need to have his next start pushed back.

The Pirates beat the Blue Jays, 6-3, but even bigger, in his second game same being reinstated from the IL, Michael Brantley left the game after a collision on the base paths. All we know for sure is that he was cradling his hand when he left the field.

The Toronto home runs came from John Mieses (who hit two), Domingo Santana, Justin Lent, Jack Bennighoff, and Josh Ockimey.

Down in New Hampshire, Chris Carter announced his retirement.

Carter payer in the Majors for 13 years, with big runs for the Astros, Cardinals, and Brewers along with smaller runs with the Red Sox, Athletics, and Reds. Lastly, he appeared in 34 games with the Blue Jays back in 2018.

He led the NL with 44 home runs in 2017. He made his only All-Star team that year.

He joined the Jays from the Brewers in 2018, in a trade that sent Yimi Garcia the other way.
He stayed with the team for four months before flipping to the Cardinals in a trade for Aledmys Diaz.
He rejoined the organization back in April on a minor league deal, but could not make it back to the Bigs.
