The Yankees now have nearly double the number of World Series titles they had in real life (7 as opposed to 4 in real life).

Are we sure this isn't secretly a Yankees wank--especially since Joe DiMaggio is coming up...

On a side note, Babe Ruth is a definite lock for the Hall of Fame in this sim, IMO...

I will be doing my best to make you eat those words! Easier said than done, however. Those guys are tough.

And yes, had the Babe not missed that nearly full season a few years back he'd have ended up with close to his IRL total. Now he's looking more like Willie Mays territory. Still a HoF first-ballot of course.

Assuming the Yankees don't collapse and manage to win the World Series in 1935, this'll be their 8th World Series win since they acquired Babe Ruth--which is double the number of World Series titles they had in real life in 1935...

In addition, this is the Babe's last season, so he'll be going out on a higher note here (regardless, he is a lock for a Hall of Fame induction when he becomes eligible, even if he has less home runs than real life) than he did in real life.

And, with Joltin' Joe and Lou Gehrig on the Yankees (in addition to their other players), the Yankees might be seen as the team of the 1930s, especially if they do as well in this timeline's 1930s as in real life...

OTOH, the Red Sox have their 1940s players coming up, with Dom DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Johnny Pesky, et. al., so they have a good shot at winning World Series titles in that decade (and might have a chance in the late 1930s)--especially with Ted Williams not serving in World War II like he did in real life (this applies to DiMaggio and many other players, of course), so it's not all bad for the Red Sox, IMO...

Anyway, waiting for more (of course)...

Keep in mind they had the Babe from the get-go in this timeline and that one of those titles was pre his IRL arrival at the club and the other in the year he did so.

I'll provide his career statlines at the end of the season.

As for us, keep an eye out for the end-of-season recap. I've expanded a bit upon our strategic outlook from here and done a fairly significant trade to that end.

Here is my prediction for how many World Series the Red Sox win in this timeline: between 10 and 20, IMO...

They'll be second behind the Yankees, IMO, just like they were second in the Bucs Stop Here timeline...

Babe Ruth is going to be a near-unanimous first-ballot Hall of Famer in this timeline--between having the most home runs (though not 714) and seven World Series wins, just like he was in real life...

We shall see my friend. The key is to keep them ticking over, none of this 86-year nonsense. We'll have some lean periods (50s, 60s) but hopefully can make up for them with multiple wins in other decades (40s, 70s).
