Another good month for Silly sees them strengthen their grip on the lead.

With FHM8 coming out as well as being fully engrossed in a game I have going on Go I am going to call it a PT season. On Sunday I will let everyone where the 3 teams in the bronze league I am in are going to be the following week and post the OL standings if we are still tracking all time records and I will then either spend what I have left or just let both teams roll.
I am happy to keep the OL tag but cant promise I will be totally on top of the friends list. In the meantime I would like to thank you all for making this the experience it is. Had I played PT solo, I wouldn't have lasted this long. I will likely be back for the next version with Coney Island but will have a very casual approach. I am considering come January, starting a historic online league-If anyone here is interested in participating please message me. |

Thanks to you also, Ed. Is an on-line historical league possible in FHM8? Seriously, e-mail me if you do. I might be interested.

Just in case there was any doubt going into the final month, Silly went 13-1
. They've done well to mostly avoid the teams in the top half, whilst those teams have been squabbling between themselves!

Either baseball (in a random debut format) or Hockey. I need to test the new game out first. I will send you an email about the hockey game to not get to far off topic here.

Gettysburg has come back to the pack just a bit. Only 6 OL games left for the Bullets, but that includes a season-ending 3-game set against second place South Holland. Not as scary as it sounds, however, since the series is at the Ballpark of Gettysburg, where the Bullets are nearly unstoppable.
**Random OL Stat of the Day: Top 15 E.R.A leaders (min. 10 games) are shown in the bottom graphic, where Trevor Hoffman appears prominently at the top. Did you know...he also appears 3 times in the bottom 15?

Gold League
Congratulations to the Silly Mad Brewers, it was never in doubt!
With 3 demotions and 2-3 promotions, Gold's gonna look a bit different next week. Good luck in the playoffs, and let's hope it's an all OL Gold Series! |

Bronze 342
No crown was to be had but for all time record keeping here are the OL records:
Sugar Hill 15-7 Las Vegas 3-4 Lumberton 8-15 In PT play: Las Vegas (98-74) will be playing in the AC wildcard game. Sugar Hill (122-40) Won the NC Central Lumberton (78-84) Third place in the NC Central Sugar Hill will be promoted to silver regardless of their playoff performance. Las Vegas landing place next week will be decided based on playoff outcome Lumberton will be remaining in Bronze. I will check back in later. Let me know if you would like me to keep my two teams in OL or remove them. I am on a selling/spending spree to close out my season. |

I've got to dig up and repair my water main starting Mon/Tue (with gear on hire), so I'll duck out of doing any tables next week.

I have raised an additional 212K in PP over the past day for Sugar Hill and have now put the former gold historical cards that made up the Gangs roster until this week and was its tournament team up for auction below their 10 day average if any one is looking for historical gold cards at a discount.
I still have some points to spend for Coney Island (purchased Pedro, Smoltz and Maddux yesterday). I will be checking in from time to time until I spend close to it all for both teams. The only cards left will be the current roster and those that are locked from missions. I had been sitting waiting for any combo of Mays, Speaker, Clemente and Shoeless Joe but since my interest had already waned I saw no reason to stick around-it's not going to make a difference having them at this point. |

Curious...
Were there enough OL games for a crown in diamond, or is silver the only other race to be decided? Edit: Just checked and saw that Brooklyn ended up in another diamond league, so silver will be it.
Also, if your team wins the PT series, your team can win the gold patch, even if they're flying solo. I try to check them all, but I'm sure I could miss one. If your team wins, just post it and the patch/plaque will be awarded. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 10-24-2021 at 10:35 AM. |

Who Woulda' Thunk... ?
Checked in today and find all three of my teams in the Silver Championships. One would think (thunk?) that I'd have a pretty unfair chance to win this thing - but we all know how this can go. I have to admit, I really REALLY would like to see two of my teams make it to the World Series, but I think I'll open the Champaign now that I actually got all three into the playoff tree

The Crakes have been relegated and their unusual streak of mediocrity has come to end. They went 23 straight seasons in Gold with being relegated or making the playoffs. They had some successful OL seasons in that run but otherwise just muddled through with a fairly narrow range of win percentages for their seasons. I think this streak is kind of unusual (for me it is for sure)--anyone else know of a long streak of league stability?

Gettysburg holds on for the title. Four teams headed to the playoffs, with the possibility of 3 being promoted. Two teams headed for relegation.
