I discovered today that 'Baseball Reference' have expanded their image depiction to show not just 1 image but 2 images, in some cases, of individual players. This becomes evident if you hover your mouse over the initial image and a second image, where available, is revealed adjacent to the right.

I hope this may be of assistance to those who like myself were previously unaware of this in their image researching.

This became evident to me while I was researching the identification of players from the 1893 Atlanta team photo. 2 images were available of players such as Tom Letcher, George Rettger, Jack Keenan, Jim Connor and Connie Murphy. However, perhaps surprisingly only 1 were available of Bones Ely, Charlie Duffee, Jack Wadsworth, Frank Motz and Dan Lally.

Shannon appeared in nine games with the Browns in 1903 and four more with the Senators in 1907.

Harry "Cy" Morgan 1903
Morgan pitched in a few games with the Browns in 1903, 1904, and 1905. It wasn't until 1905 that the nickname "Cy" appeared in print; before then he was known as Harry (his name), "Ezra", or "Pierpont". He was a member of the Athletics' pennant-winning teams of 1910 and 1911.

Sentell was an infielder who appeared in 63 games in 1906 and 3 games in 1907 for the Phillies. He continued playing in the minor leagues through 1918.

I swear I'm sharing these as I get these, but I have an assortment of Brace photo images that fill in major gaps in my custom card Master Set project -- call them "White Whales," I suppose.

I admit to cropping the three non-Cardinals. If someone would really prefer the full image, PM me please.

1) Dick K. Smith was an outfielder with the Senators for nine games and a pinch-hitter for 12. He hit .300 three times in the minors, but was dealt away Montreal during the 1970 season, and did not play past that year.



2) Seen a poorly tinted blurry copy of this images of 1969 Twin Charlie Walters before, but original shot had what appeared to be a private meeting between coaches. I did not want to intrude. Walters was in a total of six games, all in relief.



3) Veteran Joe Nossek completed his MLB career by playing nine games with the Cardinals in 1969 and one in 1970. The one photo I'd seen of him had at least a photoshopped background, it seemed, and who knows what else. But this is a definitely Cardinals uni.



4) Wayne Tyrone, like brother Jim, played for the Cubs. But his one card was a dusty, distance action photo which did not even show his face. Brace at least captured his good side. He was in the Cubs system for five years, but only cracked the Show in 1976, playing in 30 games. His only home run was off Jim Kaat.

One of my favorite player names, Goodenough was "good enough" to appear in 10 games for the 1893 Browns. Tnfoto posted a few images of him in the past, but this one shows him near the beginning of his career with the 1888 Fort Worth Panthers.

Hello my friends, Would any one be able to help me with a color image of former Brewers relief pitcher Tom Murphy. And I'm in need of a Boston Red Sox color image that has two or more starting pitchers in it from the 1974 season? Which was B. Lee, J. Marichal, R. Wise, R. Cleveland, D. Drago, and several others that they had to plug in because of so many injuries. I sure do thank you for the B. Hansen, and L. Milbourne images from the other day. Here's to you and thanks
