Good distribution - four divisions with 3 teams each, with Boulder City and Boston the lone teams in their divisions.

Yes, it should hopefully turn out to be a very interesting and "fun" week in Gold with two different leagues beating up on each other! ![]() On the other side of things, several OL teams should have plenty of good chances at winning the Wooden Spoon Award! ![]()

Gold league:
Nowhere is off to a scorching start in both OL play and overall as they have only dropped 2 games so far. |

West Burlington underachieving even more (or less) than I thought. They are wildly overmatched in Gold and Sim-luck is not helping.

Gettysburg and Baltimore terribly over-matched in Gold, and Cleveland starting out in relegation territory in Silver. Looks like we may follow up our High Water Mark with a drought.

Keystone is already getting mauled in Gold and sinking fast as we are currently sporting a 4-11 road record!
At this rate, if this trend continues, Keystone will be on autopilot before the end of today, and will continue for the rest of the week! ![]() Just when I thought I was feeling bad, there is a no-OL team who currently has a 0-20 road record and their lowest rated player between their pitching rotation and starting line-up is 98! As we all already know, when the wheels fall off the wagon, they all go at once! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

As the months go on, better and better cards fill the upper levels, and I think half of Gold is now pretty much saturated with what earlier were Perfect level cards. My two teams are almost definitely returning to Silver this weekend and will probably go on auto-pilot for the rest of the year. The question will become if I can stay in Silver or eventually drop to Bronze...

Gold league:
Nowhere is still the place to be if you want to be atop the OL standings; with the Mad Brewers a close second. Overall it's a half-n-half league with OL atop three divisions and BFF atop the other three. |

Diamond League
Midweek update:
Got the 100 yards of trench dug, connected the new water pipe and back-filled. Leak fixed. Ok, that's not the real update... ![]() Brooklyn are poked away and have zero OL fixtures. The rest have enough games for an interesting finish. |

Gold league:
Nowhere continues to set the pace in OL play with an impressive .725 winning percentage. Waffletown, Cony Island, and Silly form a triumvirate of pursuers all jumbled in the .650-.676 winning pct area. Overall: Nowhere has a solid 14 game lead in the AC East; with Port Ruppert in second and just 1.5 games out of a wild card spot. The Mad Brewers are clinging to a slim 1 game lead in the NC East, thanks to a 10 game winning streak by Coney Island (2nd place and leading the WC). Seattle is just 4 games back in the NC Central and 2 games out of a WC spot. In the NC West, four OL teams sit double digits behind the BFF leader, with Sonora HS in second, 11 games back and 4 games off the WC pace. AC Central solidly in BFF control, with the Sunday Drivers 26 games back in 4th place; and similarly the AC West has Waffletown in the basement with four BFF teams ahead, but it is a killer division as the Syrups are in last place but above .500 (42-40) and only 7 games back of the division lead. |

Not sure everyone will agree, but I think this is a great Gold league. Things will change a lot tonight, so it'll be interesting to see how the last couple of months play out!

A bit of a hiccup this morning leaves me unable to update the standings today. Cursory glance sees Shinbone with a strong push and probably lead. I'll get back to it tomorrow morning.

You just know it's not going to be your day when every tournament you enter so far you go out in round 1.
Starting to see why I gave up on them. Wake me up when good things are allowed to happen to me. *goes back to sleep* Last edited by Magus978; 10-28-2021 at 04:17 PM. |

To add further insult, your Brooklyn Dynasty makes the right diamond league, but gets no OL games. They're out to get you, Magus.

Gold league:
Nowhere slips back slightly to drop below .700, which allowed Waffletown to move within percentage points of the lead. Silly, Coney Island, and Paxville all in the .600 pct range. Overall, it would be a 5 OL vs 5 BFF post season if the playoffs started today. (Waffletown picked up Pedro Martinez at the start of July, hoping for a boost from him. He proceeded to go 0-4 with an 8.89 ERA Coulda gotten that kinda production from Zip Zabel.)

Yesterday's "cursory glance" was flawed. As it happens, Sugar Hill is in the lead, thanks largely to a 14-5 record against HelthWyzer. But Shinbone remains close. This one looks to be close all the way to the last week of the season.
