In 1902, Ray Hale pitched one season appearing in eight games with the Boston Beaneaters and three with the Baltimore Orioles. He finished that year with a 1-5 record and a 5.90 ERA.

As it has now been over a year since the last update and with the surplus of new photo material we've been blessed with, I am reopening the Facepack challenge. From the moment this thread was started, the intent was to feature images of every player that best represents them on the playing field. Original members like T Wil1, Gambo, Bearman, UKbaseballfan, Dto7, Cusick, Baseball-Birthdays and many others have contributed much over the yeras but now is the time to go through and re-edit this great work.

Expos 1969-2004 has given a great example in the previous post of what we're looking for: a possible Facepack upgrade of a player whom we have few decent images of. I fully encourage those of you who have the time to peruse through Tnfoto's last update and post any images that you think might constitute an improvement over what is currently there. I will add them to the Facepack as needed.

As for image requests or player IDs, I ask that we try to place them in the designated image threads that are within this forum so that we can focus on bringing this OOTP project back from the grave.

New to the TV listings on eBay are a couple of images of Bob Myrick of the Mets, including this one. No shortage of images of him, but this is the first color image I know of showing him in their new-for-1978 unis.

here are a few b&w scans, one from kylesportscards and two from the old lexibell archives... I know of three early ToppsVault color images, but they can't be posted here because they weren't watermarked.

I show 3 Braves Vault images with watermarks (in addition to those without)...two without a cap, however...which leaves this one.

Infielder Freigau played 7 years in MLB. He was a member of the Cardinals from 1922 to 1925. In July 1932, he went for an evening swim and dove headfirst into the shallow end of a swimming pool, broke his neck, and drowned at the age of 29.

Picture is from 1923.

Pictured with the Cleveland Spiders. He only played a half season with them and returned to the minor leagues for the duration of his baseball career.

While this image of Voss has been floating around the internet for quite awhile, the Facepack still had a hardly recognizable version. The upgrade is from the team photo of the 1885 Nashville Americans.

In editing previous entries into the Facepack, here's the new photo for Higgins vs. what is currently there.
This is one of thousands (along with the 2017-2018 debuts) that I will be adding as time permits.

Cinemaodyssey has also effectively undertaken a study of an 1884 team photo for the Detroit Wolverines, where the players were previously unidentified.. If anyone has any alternate suggestions or indeed confirmations to these identifications so we can seek to gain a consensus it would be most beneficial. I believe there was a recent enquiry about images for Dupee Shaw and he is one of many players covered.

It would also be productive if a clearer version of the image is available.

For those who enjoy such things: I bought one of the Billy Murphys put up by the Topps Vault, and it came with his folder.

We saw the Head and No Hat shots in the Vault auction; I wonder if the Action shot noted is the one that became his rookie card, and that Merkle shared a while back.

The folders are fun little extras that Topps includes from time to time.
