Sugar Hill, Gooden gets No-No
I was a little late this morning and posted the standings after the first game of the day (8/31/51). In my rush, I missed what happened in that first game of the day between Sugar Hill and South Holland.

Been trying to come up with a plan of attack after last night's big release. I need a lot of cards to complete the non-San Diego FH3's and catch up to the good teams so I can meet my aspirations. Therefore, I'm devising a desperate plan: Sell off everything unlocked that isn't related to FH3 and punt for a few weeks while I focus purely on collection completion or outright card buys, whichever ends up cheaper.
Without more FH3's there's no chance I will be able to be competitive in diamond, so drastic times are calling for drastic measures. Unless prices end up a lot lower than I expect them to be, there's going to potentially be some epic punting in my future. EDIT: The decision was made. 600k+ in assets on the AH. I'm punting until December at the earliest. See y'all in bronze or wherever I fall to. Last edited by Magus978; 10-29-2021 at 01:05 PM. |

Sugar Hill has been dancing all over the league this year (and the Crakes as you noted!) so Gooden with a good 'un is not a surprise. Congrats to them.

Diamond League
Thought I'd post a Saturday update.
Knockemstiff are done, Annandale and Cary have 6 more crunch games to decide the crown. |

A little grumble from me... The franchise missions have been pretty terrible for my theme teams. With Pedro, DiMaggio, Clemens, Randy J and Ichiro all being multi-team toppers, and no Babe, Dan Wilson or Walter Johnson... It's been a waste of time and PP for my theme teams to follow the franchise chains that they have.
The biggest upside to following the Yankees was having a couple of NYY 100's before they got really expensive for non-franchise related missions. Not impressed. I was really sold on the franchise missions being fun for a theme team, but it hasn't worked out well for me at all. |

Thought when I finally saw Willie Mays show up, it would renew my interest. I was, at best, whelmed. I only have one more mission to complete (like 4 players) and just don't feel like doing it. The biggest factor, I guess, is FHM8's release and wanting to get going with that, which will really limit my already meager PT time. Sad to see the GOAT, the Say Hey Kid, go from a must have to a hopeful future addition. Ah, well. |

Gold league:
It would take a minor miracle for Nowhere to drop out of the top spot after going 18-3 against OL competition in August. Down to 4 OL teams in playoff territory with one month to go. |

yeah, I'm a handful of cards away from a couple FH3 cards... the annoying part now is those will either be impossible to find/never show up in the AH, or they will be ridiculously priced at gouger levels (no way I'm paying 60K for a silver or gold card just to finish a mission)... so we'll see what happens... just keep gathering packs and hoping for the best as my bunch morphs from a solid-to-middling Gold team into a meidocre-to-dismal Gold team perhaps heading back to Silver |

Thanks for doing the standings! much appreciated! that's a lot of good eams in gold & not easy to do. I took a break from the game the last month or so & was pulled back in by FH3. sorry I haven't been as involved as others, Football & FFB season took over. good luck all!

. I could tell from glancing at your team that you hadn't been active. I had another peek last night, and it was obvious that you were back at the helm!I've gone a bit mad with Paxville (no longer packs-only) the last couple of weeks, so they'll be good competition for you now. |

Thanks Tinkerman! I hear ya about packs only. Tried that last year until frustration kicked in. Getting this far on packs only is a huge accomplishment & a testament to strong managerial skills. Paxville (love that name) has always been great competition. I'm definitely running a packs only team next year.

Gettysburg Bullets
G324, 35-107 this season so far Overall, 2559-2444, .511, Stone, Iron, and Silver trophy Back to Silver Cleveland Greys S308, 53-87 this season so far Overall, 2450-2550, .490, Bronze trophy Back to Bronze Baltimore Barons G324, 42-100 this season so far Overall, 2546-2457, .509, no trophies Back to Silver Well, pretty disappointing season. All three teams will be relegated; Gettysburg & Baltimore to Silver, Cleveland to Bronze. It's gotten to the point where this is likely to be as far as these teams will go. I'll keep accumulating PPs and maybe land a lucky pick or find an upgrade in the AH, but it's more likely this is where the teams will be in the Spring - so I'll likely bow out until then. But it wouldn't be fair if I didn't thank all you guys in "Our League" for making my time here much more enjoyable in PT than it would have been without you. Stanley? Your a King buddy. It's your perseverance that holds this league together - even when I know your frustrated beyond measure. You all are a fantastic group of guys. Until March ![]() HRB

I was done for the season so having that "guy(s)" is a big meh at this point. Haven't logged into either team since I left them last Sunday and sadly haven't missed it. When PT 21 came out I still logged into PT 20 two or three times a week until the servers were shut down. I haven't logged into PT 21 since I left our league last year I fear the same may be true for 22. |

Diamond League
Congratulations to the Cary Southpaws!
The OL title basically hinged on the results between Annandale and Cary, which Cary came out on top of 11-8. I'm quite surprised that Knockemstiff survived, especially being in with the league's heavy hitter. Annandale and Brooklyn didn't get the same good fortune. Let's hope at least a couple get promoted from Gold! |

If I give PT another pop next year (not sure atm), I'll run packs-only with my 2nd team (2 teams max) - and stick to it! Just got a bit too frustrating with my main team this year. After 7 months, the roster was a bit stale, and my other teams aren't really going anywhere once I've bought a handful of cards for them.

Gold league:
Nowhere completes their wire-to-wire run atop the standings with an impressive .759 winning pct against OL competition, and the top record in the league at 116-46. Nowhere, Paxville, Silly, and Sonora HS head to the post season. Good luck! at the opposite end, numerous relegations heading back to Silver: Sunday, New York, Keystone, Baltimore, Gettysburg, West Burlington. (Waffletown managed to be the worst team NOT relegated )
