I could cover this week. I do have a busy Sunday so I might not be able to do anything most of the day. We can work out something later (maybe the OL champ will have clinched by then--I am guessing the Nowhere Men will be looking to avenge their surprise rousting from the Gold playoffs last season).

FYI Quinta, I bought the MaddAddam Trilogy for my Dad recently, and will read them myself over the winter. Quote:

"crashed" is right, that was disappointing. Thought, at least, one of my teams would make the final 4 & get a ticket back to diamond.

I'm a bit gutted that Nowhere got dumped and the stupid pro/rel let us down AGAIN. I hope it's a 4-way OL SLS in Gold this week!

Gold
So I want to first make sure I give RevMcGator proper credit for his spreadsheet to create the standings. Jason's is very good but I used yours today because of the very useful formulas for pulling the W-L data out of the Team by Team report. I apologize for not noticing it last week when I just glanced at it (I am glad I gave it a second look).
That said we are off to rousing if uneven start to OL Gold this week. The Atom Smashers were smashing and the Mundys, Dynasty, and Stealheadz all got off to good starts. The Perfectos and Brewers have yet to start but will be getting going soon to add to the race. I do not have access to the game right now so I will not be able to show you the overall standings (apologies) until tomorrow but here is your OL standings: |

Thank you very much. Very impressive use of Excel commands (educational use of the Index function)! I will use.

Gold 326
Gold has been quite competitive and unbalanced. Once they got into OL play the Silly Mad Brewers have been dominant. They are ahead of a tight trio--Atom Smashers, Perfectos, and the Dynasty.
OL teams are keeping the non-OL league close. The Brooklyn Dynasty, Port Ruppert Mundys, and Silly Mad Brewers all lead their divisions with several OL teams challenging in their divisions or WC race. |

Diamond League
A quick look at the current state of Diamond.
Paxville are coping due to getting as far as Johnson and Spahn in the missions. It's fair to say that I regret launching into the missions as I did... As things stand, everyone under .500 is heading for relegation. Another reminder that the pro/rel system is far too crude. |

Silly Mad Brewers continue their remarkable success in OL action. The Perfectos and Atom Smashers also have excellent records and in the race. The Dynasty have played 63 OL games (!) already and remain in the race.
In the general race OL teams dominate the AC and currently occupy all 5 of the playoff spots (and guarantee 2 promotions). In the NC Brewers lead one division and a few WC spots are possible. |

Yes, I agree 100%. After getting beat up in PT for so many months, it is hard to get excited, even if it is the great Willie Mays! It's no fun for me when they drag out releases of top-notch player cards like that which should have been available a long time ago. It's too late in the PT22 cycle to be throwing "bones" out like that as interest in PT is has been falling off for a while now and that is why I am guessing that they are now offering incentives for logging in every day to your PT account. The OL title race got fairly dramatic yesterday and the fans are bubbling with excitement. The Perfectos won a bunch and with their lighter schedule they took the lead. A bunch of other teams with a chance--particularly the Atom Smashers who should be in the race to the end. The Dynasty, Brewers, and Nowhere Men all have a shot with a run as well.
In PT play OL teams are in 7 of the 10 playoff places (and most of them pretty solid right now as well). Last edited by Quinta; 11-05-2021 at 08:14 AM. |
