Wow, this dynasty just grows 'n grows and it gets better 'n better. I'm an occasional forum lurker but always make sure to check in on the CBO. I'm glad it's still running after all these years. How have you generated these great player names? Wonderful work!

Anyway, the names in the dynasty are a combination of Fallout 4 characters and namesakes, derived names of real people (Babs Rooth and Harry Byrd as two Boston historical legends), characters from some of my favorite movies and TV shows throughout my 40+ years of life, portmanteau, potty humor, and just whatever names I can reel off in my creative name listing periods. Like J. Henry Waugh, I am always thinking about names that would work in my universe.

2307 Nuka Cup
If this were only a playoff series!!! See below!
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, and GBRL by Nat Wright-Kawolski 24 March 2307 2307 Nuka Cup - Finals In the battle of the race for the Railroad League in 2306, Vaullt 81 and Roxbury continue that battle in the 2307 preseason in the Nuka Cup Finals. Many knew that the Rad Sox was a powerhouse, but they were not sure of the Dwellers and their possibility of being a contender again in 2307. Roxbury is looking to win a fourth-straight Nuka Cup, while the Dwellers are looking for their first. March 21: Vault 81 3, Roxbury 2, 16 inn. In the top of the 16th, the Dwellers' PH Chris Parratt, drafted in the 7th round of the 2305 draft, hit a leadoff triple off Roxbury RP Adam Bias. Two batters later, 2B Harry Byrd hit an RBI sacrifice fly for the go-ahead run. Roxbury's SP Chet Arthur was the Game MVP despite the no decision. In 8.0 IP, he allowed one earned run in seven hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Vault 81's first two runs came in the 8th and 9th innings, respectively, on solo home runs by SS End Yamada and LF Mace Pageturner. March 22: Roxbury 8, Vault 81 7, 12 inn. For the second-straight game, the Rad Sox and Dwellers went to extra innings, this time with the home team coming out on top. Roxbury trailed 7-6 entering the bottom of the 12th after CF Callie Love's RBI double in the top of the 12th. With RP Dan Dozier on the mound and one out, LF Young Goodman and 1B Sum Downie had back-to-back walks. 2B Chris Connexx then doubled to tie the score. After SS Purple Gupta was walked intentionally, C Beercan Scherer drew an RBI walk to end the game. Connexx was 3 for 5 with a double, two home runs, a walk, three runs, and four RBI. March 23: Roxbury 7, Vault 81 3, 11 inn. Not to outdo the first two games, Game 3 went to extra innings again, this time with CF Ben Pawlak's grand slam, walk-off home run to win Roxbury its third-straight Nuka Cup. Pawlak was 2 for 5 with his grand slam, three walks, and four RBI. RP Tom Sweeney, trying to break back into the CBO team after spending all of 2306 in Everett, suffered the loss. Roxbury's Urm Rehfeldt pitched 8.0 innings, allowing three earned runs in the no-decision. Sp Exxie Summerset also allowed three earned runs in 6.0 innings.

2307 Season Pass Tournament
by Evan Guy 1 April 2307 Season Pass Association Tournament Ends with Thriller The final game of the 2307 tournament was a 14-inning thriller, as the 7th-seeded Echo Lake Harbormen of the Vim! League defeated the 10th-seeded Quantum Nukalurks of the Nuka World League, 7-4. It marked the second Season Pass Association Tournament championship for the Harbormen. Each team had won the tournament once before: Echo Lake in 2303 and Quantum in 2304. Echo Lake is the first two-time champion of the tournament. The game marked the third meeting of the teams in the tournament. In the first round, the Harbormen defeated the Nukalurks, 2-0. Quantum then moved to the Loser's Bracket, where it reeled off six-straight wins, including downing #2 Cherry and #1 Dalton Farm in back-to-back games, to advance to the finals. In the finals, the Nukalurks needed two victories. They got the first victory over Echo Lake, 4-0, before the last game with a winner-take-all format was played yesterday. Let's look at how that third and final matchup went. The Harbormen struck first in the game, scoring two in the top of the 3rd. Stone Wall led off with a single off Quantum SP Danny Cautious. With two outs and Wall on third, Witcher Craft singled him in. Craft then stole second scored on Chris Dominoes' RBI single. Trailing 3-0 entering the bottom of the 6th, the Nukalurks finally got on the board, taking a 4-3 lead in the inning. Echo Lake SP Jason Woods walked Signal Frummy to start the inning. Jason Love then doubled, sending Frummy to third. With one out, Cheap Diehl singled in Frummy to make it 3-1. Garrett Roseclip then doubled, scoring Love and putting runners at second and third with one out. Nate Beech was intentionally walked to load the bases, followed by Joe Ransom's RBI single to tie the game, 3-3. With two outs and the bases still loaded, Woods threw a wild pitch, allowing Roseclip to score the go-ahead run. After Echo Lake scored in the top of the 8th to allow the game to go to extra innings, the three-run 14th happened. The Harbormen finished with 18 hits but did not get their first extra-base hit until the deciding 14th inning. With RP Fussy Russ Robinson on the mound for Quantum, the Harbormen quickly got their first two men out. Craft then hit a two-out double to put the go-ahead run in scoring position. Dominoes then singled in Craft for the 5-4 advantage, followed by a Chris Knickerbocker double. After Scott Canada came on in relief, Edgar Virus hit a two-RBI single for the 7-4 final. Craft was named Gamed MVP, going 4 for 7 with a double, two runs, and an RBI. Dominoes added three hits and three RBI. Steve Wallace and Diehl each had three hits for the Nukalurks. Quantum committed four errors on the day.

Holy Cow! So many innings! Really shows how evenly matched Vault 81 and the Rad Sox are. That's something you want for a Sole Survivor series, but at least in-universe, I have to imagine a crazy final like that would give a ton of relevance to the Nuka Cup. Preseason or not, both teams came to play!

April 2307
BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 2 April 2307 The April Super Post CBO Predictions PAM has spoken and the 2307 season looks to have slight changes in the playoff teams, and a lot more competitive league overall. In the end, PAM predicts a repeat of the Sole Survivor Series of County Crossing and Roxbury. Based on overall power, it appears that PAM believes the Rad Sox to be the CBO's top team. In the NCA, PAM has a tight race between the top two teams in the Brotherhood League, the Bloodbugs and Nordhagen Beach. Easy Town is still at a playoff level but expected to finish 10 games back of County Crossing. PAM again expects Sunshine Tidings to run away with the Institute League, finishing eight games ahead of second-place Bunker Hill. The playoff seedings are expected to be: 1. County Crossing 2. Sunshine Tidings 3. Nordhagen Beach 4. Bunker Hill 5. Easy Town RF Babs Rooth and SP Beachboy Nut are again expected to take the top hitter and pitcher awards. Other competitors as top hitter include 1B Zeldolph Violet (CC), RF Jonathan Angelou (NB), and SS Cy Thompson (CC). Other competitors for top pitcher include SP College Luckyman (CC), SP Gavin Eviritts (CC), and SP Tommy Beach (NB). In the SCA, both University Point and the Sox are expected to win their leagues with the same record, though the power potential favors Roxbury. In the Minutemen League, Jamaica Plain is the only team expected to compete with the Deathclaws, though PAM expects them to finish six games back. In the Railroad League, the Rad Sox are expected to with the league by seven games over Oberland, which is picked to make it to the playoffs in 2307 after an eight-year absence. The playoff seedings are expected to be: 1. Roxbury 2. University Point 3. Jamaica Plain 4. Oberland 5. Vault 81 Without surprise, 1B Barker Cocoa of University Point and SP Nuke Laloosh of Roxbury are the picks to win the top awards. Other competitors for the hitting award are 2B Diamond Ball (SI), CF Aesed Hayjen (UP), and CF Stu Gains (V81). Other competitors for the pitching award are SP Mesquite Williams (Obe), SP Derek Green (JP), and SP Dobbie Radoncis (SI). CBO Top Systems and Prospects The Slog looks to be a future juggernaut with four of its top prospects in the Top 10 featured below. Other top systems include Nahant, Goodneighbor, Egret, Bunker Hill, and Quincy. The bottom three systems are County Crossing (zero Top 100 prospects), Jamaica Plain (one Top 100 prospect), and University Point (two Top 100 prospects). The CBO had one of its strongest classes ever in the 2306 Rookie Draft, and those players are reflected in the top prospects list. Let's take a look at the Top 10 players going into 2307 and where they are starting the season. 1. CF Missile Crews, Goodneighbor - The #1 overall pick out of West Quincy of the BYDL, Crews is expected to start the season with the CBO club since the Hancocks have such a talent deficiency. Whether or not that is good for Crews' development, we do not know, but we do know he is a high talent. Based on OSA predictions, he has the capability of being the top rookie with a .300/.373/.602 prediction line in his first season. If he starts out slowly, the Hancocks could send him down to break his slump. 2. 3B Plain Morris, The Slog - Morris was a case where he missed the application deadline for the 2302 Rookie Draft since he was in a military educational program that finished in February. After he was completed, he was able to sign as an undrafted free agent, in which The Slog secured his services. In four professional seasons, Morris has six GBRL career records, including being the top home run leader (129), 42 better than the second-best mark. Morris is expected to debut with the Ghouls in 2307 and is scheduled to start at 3B and hit cleanup. 3. SS Gavin Deux-Gas, The Slog - The second-overall pick in the 2306 Rookie Draft, Deux-Gas is expected to start with the MML's Burlington Ferals as the starting SS and bat second in the order. Should he thrive, he could later join Morris on the CBO squad. 4. SP Paul Stains, FHE - The 4th-overall pick in the 2306 Rookie Draft, Stains may be an elite pitcher. He is already CBO-ready, though he would be better placed in the bullpen to start. Granted a fifth year of BYDL eligibility after suffering an injury, Stains recorded BYDL career bests in wins (48), complete games (21), shutouts (6), innings pitched (579.0), strikeouts (786), and WAR (23.25). OSA scouts predict that he can elicit a 3.49 ERA with 255 Ks in 232.0 IP. FHE would take that his rookie season. 5. SP Hry Caje, Egret - The 2nd-overall pick in the 2303 Rookie Draft, Caje has been developing slowly. Now 20, the Ninjas are ready for him to start with the CBO club, though he is expected to be relegated to the bullpen this season, which could be a make-or-break time. In two seasons in the GBRL, he posted just a 12-10 record with a 4.74 ERA. OSA scouts have him with a 5.55 expected ERA with Egret this season. 6. 1B Kilometers Davis, The Slog - The Slog's 4th-overall pick in the 2304 Rookie Draft, Davis was traded to Vault 81 and later back to the Ghouls. He is expected to start the 2307 season with the BMU's Mass Pike Radroaches. Last season with Vault 81's Covenant Refractors, he batted .228 in 46 starts (48 total games played) with 11 home runs and 30 RBI. Another player in the Top 10 with a slow development, Davis may one day be one of the CBO's premier power hitters. 7. SP Flirt Perez, The Slog - The fourth Ghoul in the Top 7, Perez came to The Slog in the same trade that sent Davis back to the squad for outstanding CF Stu Gains. Perez was the Dwellers' 20th-overall pick in the 2304 Rooke Draft. Like Caje, Perez is expected to be on the CBO roster but will not be a starter to start is CBO career. Last season with two BMU teams, Perez was 8-6 with a 4.12 ERA in 22 total starts. He could be sent back to the MML if he struggles out of the bullpen. OSA scouts think he may finish with a 5.42 ERA with a full season in the Ghouls' bullpen. 8. 3B Jacob Tarberry, Nahant - The 6th-overall pick in the 2306 Rookie Draft, Tarberry is expected to start with the BMU's Brockton Irish. He is expected to be the starting 3B in Brockton and bat third. 9. LF Family Sam Partridge, Lexington - The 3rd-overall pick in the 2306 draft out of Boston Harbor, Partridge is expected to start with the BMU's Sanctuary Hills Zetans. He will start at LF and bat third in the Zetans lineup. 10. LF Kevin Faite, Bunker Hill - The 7th-overall pick by Oberland in the 2301 Rookie Draft, Faite is expected to make his CBO debut in 2307. Last season, he finished the season playing the final 24 games for the Abernathy Adamantium of the MML, batting .337 with five home runs and 16 RBI. With the 75ers, he is expected to be a pinch hitter and occasional starter behind Knife Bowie. BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 8 April 2307 First Week Check In The first week of the 2307 season is now complete in the BL vs ML and IL vs RL matchups. Next week will be the BL vs RL and IL vs ML. A few things that stood out is that Roxbury and Vault 81 are good. Really good. Each team went 6-0 the first week of the season, joining only Atom as the undefeated teams. Jamaica Plain is surprisingly the only team to start out 0-6, losing all six games against the Brotherhood League. The Railroad League versus Institute League was heavily unbalanced with the RL going 29-7 against the IL. Bunker Hill is the only team in the IL with two wins, while the rest of the league managed just one win apiece. For the RL, Oberland is the only team not above .500, going 3-3 the first week. The University Point Deathclaws are expected to challenge for the Sole Survivor Series; however, they received the biggest blow of the young season with star RF Tomas Jones suffering an injury that will end his 2307 season. In 18 at bats, he was hitting .444 with three home runs and five RBI before going down with the injury legging out a double in the 10th inning of a 6-4 loss to Salem. The ML held the overall advantage over the BL, going 19-17. All of Atom, Quincy, and Spectacle Island are above .500, while County Crossing and Salem are over .500 in the BL. Complete standings are below.

April 2307
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 15 April 2307 CBO Analysis The interassociation games for 2307 are finished, and boy do we not know what to make of it. Eight teams in the SCA are currently above .500, while only three teams in the NCA are. Overall, the SCA looks to be much stronger, but the current successes of some and failures of others will change now that the NCA teams only play each other, as do the SCA teams. With the first Power Rankings coming out, then, it is no surprise that the the Top 5 contains no NCA teams. Starting at #1, we have the FHE Yao Guai, which we do not anticipate to see this high again this season. The Yao Guai went 10-2 in the first two weeks, with their sole losses coming to Fort Hagen (#21) and Nordhagen Beach (the NCA's highest team at #7). Roxbury is #2 after also going 10-2 with a 6-0 record versus the Institute League and 4-2 versus the Brotherhood League. The Rad Sox's losses came to Salem (#8) and County Crossing (#9), the only two teams other than the Party Boys with a winning record in the NCA. Atom is the #3 team, also at 10-2 and another surprise like FHE. The Cats swept the BL and started 9-0 before dropping two to Bunker Hill (#19) and Concord (#18). Diamond City is #4 after starting an impressive 9-3. The Swatters were 4-2 against the IL with their losses also coming against the 75ers and Radstags. They also went 5-1 against the BL with their lone loss coming in the 6th game versus Nahant (#16). Spectacle Island rounds out the Top 5 with an 8-4 record, going 4-2 versus each NCA league. Their losses came against the Witch Hats and Bloodbugs in the BL and Lexington (#14) and Sunshine Tidings (#12) in the IL. Brotherhood League This league may not have any team currently making its mark on the way to the championship, but we have learned to take slow starts with a grain of salt. Nordhagen Beach, County Crossing, and Salem all share first place with Easy Town and Nahant currently in quick striking distance. The Bloodbugs have already shown that they will be tough to beat every game, currently leading the NCA in all offensive categories but stolen bases and base running. Both RF Babs Rooth (.311/7/12) and 1B Zeldolph Violet (.304/6/19) have shown in the first two weeks that they will be in the thick of the NCA Nuka Hitter Award race. Institute League Lexington and Sunshine Tidings are atop the league at 6-6. The Chemists, winners of the IL the past three years, are the probable 2307 champions, too, in a weak league. Sunshine Tidings started out cold, going 1-6, before winning their last five against the Minutemen League with the sole loss coming to 10-2 Atom. Bunker Hill is expected to make the jump to being a playoff team, but they have yet to prove that they belong, going 4-8 to start. Two of those wins came against Diamond City and the Cats, showing that they can beat good teams, but they are the only team to drop a game to Jamaica Plain. Converted closer, SP Jason Tonelli (2-0, 1.80) has shown that he was ready for the move so far. SS Aaron Squire (.306/3/7) has also looked like he will be a breakout star. Minutemen League We seem to remember this league being topsy-turvy before. With the Red Rockets holding the CBO's worst record, University Point at 6-6, and Atom and Quincy both above .500, we are pretty sure what you see is certainly not what you will get heading into SCA play. For the Rockets, a near team-wide batting slump is the biggest part of the problem. CF Hid Matsumoto (.234/5/10) is not hitting well overall, but he has hit 62.5% of his team's home runs. LF Ken Debate (.194/1/3) and 2B Bulleye Shooterson (.214/0/0), who combined for 75 homers in 2306, are way behind their paces currently. A late-night trade for 3B Peter Tatoeater (.294/1/5) from Concord could help boost the offense from a position that was useless in the batting lineup before. Railroad League Everyone expected Oberland to make the leap to a playoff contender in 2307, yet they are the only team in the league with a record below .500. It is not over for the T-51s, but something must change immediately. Currently worst in the SCA in runs allowed (79), SP Trolley Dodge (0-3, 9.24), SP Ronnie Messenger (0-0, 10.12), and SP Chad Nailgun (0-1, 5.93) have been destroyed in each start thus far. The offense has been a lot more successful, though there is a huge difference from being 3rd in batting average (.298) and 9th in runs scored (57). They will need to figure out how to turn hits into runs more often and to quit stranding baserunners. For Diamond City, there seems to be a rejuvenation of its aging pitching staff with SP Sheng Kawolski (1-1, 3.13), SP City Moore (2-1, 3.74), and CL Josh Samm (4 SV, 0.00) all looking stellar in the first two weeks. CBO Standings CBO Power Rankings CBO Players of the Week April 8 - Zeldolph Violet punched, poked and pummeled the baseball last week and today he garnered a majority of the votes for the North Charles Association Player of the Week award. The County Crossing Bloodbugs first baseman slashed out a .409 average with 9 hits in 22 at-bats, 5 home runs and 14 RBIs. The South Charles Association made it official today: Ben Pettinato is the Player of the Week. He really sparkled on the diamond this week with a .520 average to take home the trophy. The Quincy third baseman went 13-for-25, drove in 4 runs, scored 5 times and hit 1 home run. April 15 - Kurt Kilgore went on a week-long hitting spree against North Charles Association pitchers and captured the Player of the Week honors. The County Crossing left fielder battered the opposition for 12 hits, 2 home runs, 7 runs batted in and scored 7 runs. He hit .500 and posted a .556 on-base percentage. Ajani Peacock is respected by most Egret Ninjas fans for his no-frills style of play. The 27-year-old third baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the South Charles Association Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .423 average (11-for-26) with 4 home runs, 13 RBIs and 7 runs scored. April 2307
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 29 April 2307 CBO Analysis Watch out, CBO teams! We are only a month into the season, and guess which two teams top the power rankings. We are now entering the league games in the first weekend of May, so it is time for contenders to start making their statements. Coming in at #1 is Roxbury after going an SCA-best 8-2 in the last two weeks. The Rad Sox are now three games up on every other team for the CBO's best record. The Sox swept Quincy (#8) and Spectacle Island (#11), split at University Point (#13), swept the Cats (#4), and split at Jamaica Plain (#18). The defending champions, County Crossing, are #2. Like the Sox, the Bloodbugs went 8-2 in their last 10 to take over the top record in the NCA. The Bugs got swept at Starlight (#17), and then swept Lexington (#16), Concord (#22), Fort Hagen (#20), and Bunker Hill (#24). FHE drops two spots to #3 after going 5-5 in their last 10. They are still tied for the second-best record in the league. The Yao Guai split with Atom, split with the Deathclaws, split at the Cats, got swept by the Gunners, and then swept Goodneighbor (#23). Atom comes in at #4 despite a 5-5 stretch to remain tied with the Yao Guai for the #2 spot in the SCA and one game ahead for the Minutemen League's top spot. The Cats split at FHE, swept Oberland (#21), split against the Yao Guai, got swept by the Sox, and then split with Egret (#15). Vault 81 wraps up the Top 5 at #5 with a 7-3 mark in their last 10. The Dwellers swept the Reapers and Hancocks, split with the Red Rockets, split with the Claws, and then split with Quincy. Brotherhood League The top five teams in this league all had a record above .500 in their matchups with the Institute League, securing the IL as the weakest league once again and more fodder for the BL's feeding. Both County Crossing and Easy Town went 8-2, putting them above the rest though the Assaultrons are a game back of Nordhagen Beach for 2nd place. The Party Boys may want to start looking at improving their bullpen, currently 11th in the NCA in ERA (6.22). Outside of CL David "AntAgonist" Kidd (9 SV, 1.59) and RP Marc Woodsman (0-0, 0.00 in 6.0 IP), the bullpen has been lit up in every appearance, accounting for half of the Boys' losses. SP Ugio Church (2-2, 6.89) has been the only starter struggling, which probably will not be a season-long problem. Basically, this team is good late-inning pitching away from being the favorites in the NCA. Salem is still an intriguing team coming into 2307. Two games back of the Bugs, the Witch Hats have shown that they can win some big games and are currently high in both runs scored (3rd at 107) and runs allowed (4th at 93). The Hats are also 3rd in home runs (29) with a good split among CF Andy Dogleash (.309/6/17), 3B Booth Larson (.239/5/18), LF Dan Erb (.250/5/10), and 1B Needham Tickler (.293/4/13). Institute League At 11-11, Sunshine Tidings is the only team at .500 in this league, which has been disappointing in non-IL games thus far. Now they get to tear each other up for the rest of the season, with our estimation that the Chemists will emerge but no other team has the tickets to win it. Bunker Hill has been the most disappointing team in a season where many thought they would take the next step toward a playoff run. The 75ers are 10th in runs scored (83) and 12th in runs allowed (135). The only hitter with a good start has been 2B Emerald Sapphire (.354/3/9). SS Aaron Squire (.282/4/12) is in a bit of a slump as of late. SP Jason Tonelli (2-2, 3.79) is the only starter with a sub 4.00 ERA. Minutemen League We have called this the topsy-turvy league with some teams expected to be in the playoffs playing some below .500 ball (University Point and Jamaica Plain). The Deathclaws have had the injury bug so far this season, losing RF Tomas Jones for the season and SS Austin Engill for at least a month. That has proven to be damaging since the Claws are built on their stars being healthy. 1B Barker Cocoa (.365/11/28) is doing what he does, but overall, University Point is 6th in runs scored (120) and 10th in batting average (.272). Spectacle Island may be an interesting team to watch after acquiring the services of C Ayag Mour (.210/1/9). Mour was slumping to start the season, like much of the Red Rockets' offense but should wake up to help the Reapers make a playoff run. Railroad League Roxbury and Vault 81 should be at the top for the majority of the 2307 season, and that is right were they are with the Dwellers starting to move up closer to FHE. Outside of the Sox and Dwellers, the rest of the league went 5-5 or worse against the ML, meaning that the rest of the league is bound to fade away when Roxbury and Vault 81 regularly wins two or three games in a series. FHE has certainly been the most surprising team thus far, especially with their ability to score runs (1st at 145). Five players are currently hitting above .300: LF Waze Waiting (.382/2/15), 1B Bryan Cushman (.343/5/16), SS Hose Wallcrawler (.319/7/27), CF Willy Mazehaze (.315/3/11/9 SB), and RF Steven Capone (.312/4/15). CBO Standings CBO Power Rankings CBO Players of the Week April 22 - It was announced today that Concord first baseman Dusty Brownell was named the North Charles Association Player of the Week Award for his superb play last week. During the week he compiled a .444 batting average (8-for-18) with 6 home runs, 13 runs batted in and scored 6 runs. Brownell has collected 15 hits for the Radstags this year, 10 of them home runs. He has also netted 19 RBIs and scored 14 runs while batting .375. It was an extraordinary week for Wally Warwick of the Atom Cats. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .667, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the South Charles Association. Last week Warwick went 6-for-9, racked up 2 home runs and 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Atom second baseman. Hitting .379 to date, Warwick has 2 home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 16 games. April 29 - John Windman demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the North Charles Association Player of the Week Award. The Slog first baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .571 average (8-for-14) with 4 home runs and 7 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. A look at his season totals shows Windman with 7 home runs, .351 BA, .486 OBP, 18 RBIs and 8 runs scored. His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Barker Cocoa was rewarded with the South Charles Association Player of the Week honors. The scrappy University Point Deathclaws first baseman hit .444 while collecting 8 hits in 18 at-bats, 5 home runs and 12 RBIs. So far this season Cocoa is hitting .365 with 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 74 at-bats and a .530 OBP. May 2307
BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 1 May 2307 The May Super Post CBO Breaking News Six Sox Suspended The Roxbury Rad Sox have been hit with the largest ever chems test failure with six of their players found to have tested for chems multiple times. Starting C Biddy Swenson was the most prominent of the six as the only starter. The others include RP John Irwin, 1B Kyle Boohoo, 2B Tut Campbell, CF Edward Cox, and CF Dustin Shotgun. Boohoo was found to be the most serious of the six, leading to a 40-game suspension. Campbell and Shotgun each received a 27-game suspension, Cox received a 20-game suspension, and Swanson and Irwin each received 14 games. Any further incidents could lead to a full-season suspension for the players. CBO Players of the Month NCA Hitter - Baktu DaWell may be much younger than other hitters in the North Charles Association, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in April to win the Batter of the Month award. The 24-year-old Sunshine Tidings right fielder hit .365 with 10 home runs, 23 RBIs and 18 runs scored. SCA Hitter - Barker Cocoa battered South Charles Association pitchers all April and wound up taking home the Batter of the Month Award. "I've been around Commonwealth Baseball Organization long enough to know you really have to work hard day in and day out to be able to put up this kind of consistency," the 28-year-old Cocoa told reporters. "I put in a lot of work, even on the days I might not take the field, and it's always nice when everything comes together for me like it did this last month." In 23 games, Cocoa hit .377 with 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 23 runs. NCA Pitcher - The North Charles Association announced today that College Luckyman has been chosen the league's Pitcher of the Month. The County Crossing starter had everything working for him last month as he glided to a 4-2 record. In April Luckyman chalked up a 2.38 ERA in 45.1 innings with 37 strikeouts and 7 walks. SCA Pitcher - FHE Yao Guai hurler Aaron Demps was rewarded today with the South Charles Association Pitcher of the Month honors. Demps, 27, realizes that pitching isn't all about how hard you can throw, it's about accuracy and about picking yourself up even when you've had a run of bad luck. "I'd like to say I don't give them anything to hit," said the FHE starter, "but that's not true. Every pitcher gives up a long ball now and then. Usually there's at least one mistake in each at-bat, but you've got to battle through your mistakes and build some positive momentum. The rest will fall into place." Things did fall into place for Demps. In April he took the ball for 48.2 innings while notching 33 strikeouts, a 2.03 ERA and a 5-0 record. NCA Rookie - Grandson Quarles earned April's Rookie of the Month honors in the North Charles Association for last month's performance. The boyish Nahant center fielder might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Quarles hit .244 with 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 12 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. SCA Rookie - Youngster Zaire Inquisitor emerged as the latest South Charles Association Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Oberland deserved the honor, batting .354 with 5 home runs and 13 runs batted in. Is the month of April a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Inquisitor enjoy the limelight. MML Analysis The MML is in its first month of action, and there are plenty of players vying to get a call-up to the CBO team. With the news this morning out of Roxbury, there may be a few of the Sandwich Bay Snakes getting that call-up today! Leaders of the divisions are: Abernathy Adamantium (BH) and Burlington Ferals (Slog, LL Boggs), Everett Mutant Hounds (V81, LL Murtagh), Eastlake Aquaboys (CC, SL Williams), and Brookline Bandoliers (Egr, SL Yastrzemski). MML Players of the Month LL Hitter - Sam Farland made many Everett Mutant Hounds fans happy in April. That's because the veteran 35-year-old left fielder torched opposing pitchers and has won the Legends League Batter of the Month award. Farland batted .424, hit 5 home runs, drove in 20 runs, scored 26 times and compiled a .500 on-base percentage. SL Hitter - Boston Common Lead Bellies fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in April. Andy Stamey put up a remarkable month at the age of 22 and has been named the Stars League Batter of the Month. For the month, Stamey hit .390 with 10 home runs, 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored. LL Pitcher - April's premier pitcher was Gooseberry Fullwallet of Everett Mutant Hounds. He pulverized Legends League hitters all month long and picked up the Pitcher of the Month award. The Mutant Hounds star hurler fashioned a 5-1 record en route to the honor. He had 40 strikeouts in 46.2 innings and compiled a 3.47 ERA. Other clubs hit .265 against him. SL Pitcher - Van Funky of Sandwich had an excellent April with a 5-0 record and was selected as the Pitcher of the Month in the Stars League. He finished the month with a 2.04 ERA while piling up 36 strikeouts in 39.2 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .204 batting average. BMU Analysis Teams are 11 games into the season, so league races are mostly tight. Some players in this league may get a chance to move up to the CBO team, but most will look to do that next year or beyond with several players drafted in 2306 in this league. In the CA's Dark Hollow Pond League, five teams are all tied at 6-5 for 1st place, so let us just name the team that is not: the Covenant Refractors (V81). The Mystic Pines Raybathers (Obe) lead the CA's Cambridge League by four games, the Charles View Cannibals (SI) lead the MA's Downtown Boston League by two games, and the Worcester Cannons (FtH) lead the Glowing Sea League by two games. BMU Players of the Month CA Hitter - Mystic Pines Raybathers fans believe they've got a talented young star in Beckett Quantum. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in April, as he hit .465 with 6 home runs, 15 RBIs and 17 runs scored. The end result was the right fielder being named the Commonwealth Association Batter of the Month. MA Hitter - It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 18 President Washington has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Mass Pike Radroaches star can enjoy the numbers he put up in April, which have garnered him the nod as the Massachusetts Association Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .435 average with 6 home runs, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored. CA Pitcher - Dan Watson of Brockton excelled on the mound in April with a 3-0 record and was named the Pitcher of the Month in the Commonwealth Association. Watson restricted opposing batters to 15 base hits and a .176 batting average. He rang up 21 strikeouts in 24 innings of work, surrendered 4 walks, and fashioned a 1.12 ERA. MA Pitcher - April's #1 hurler was Nate Czajka of Charles View. He gunned down Massachusetts Association hitters the whole month and claimed the Pitcher of the Month award. The Cannibals star piled up 3 wins and no losses to take the honor. The 30-year-old Czajka added 8 strikeouts in 26 innings and 2 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.08 ERA. Other clubs hit .151 against him. GBRL Analysis Like the BMU, the GBRL's teams have played 11 so far. Early division leaders are the Med-Tek Eyebots (Quin) of the Northeast Division, the Corvega Flamers (Slog) of the Northwest Division, the Poseidon Energy Mongrels (V81) of the Southeast Division, and the Beantown Brewers (Egr) and Fiddler's Green T-60s (Obe) of the Southwest Division. GBRL Players of the Month NL Hitter - Marc McCoy put together a good April to earn the North League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Tenpines Bluff officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Manta Men right fielder posted a .516 batting average with 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 12 runs scored. SL Hitter - Even though he is a newcomer to Greater Boston Rookie League, Phantom Vargas put up some good numbers in April and earned the SL Batter of the Month award. He was one of Poseidon Energy's offensive leaders with a .429 average in 11 games. He also racked up 9 home runs, 16 RBIs, and 14 runs scored. NL Pitcher - Rev Lovejoy was on top of the world in April, capping it off with the North League Pitcher of the Month honors. The Tenpines Bluff starter was superb in 3 starts with 3 wins and no losses, 21.1 innings pitched, 28 strikeouts and a fine 2.53 ERA. SL Pitcher - The top-rated pitcher this past month in the South League was Wes O'Cop of the Watertown Armorers. He really dominated league hitters, finishing April with a 3-0 won-lost mark and a 1.38 ERA. The Armorers ace made 3 starts and surrendered 17 hits in 26 innings. He struck out 30 and walked 8. BYDL The season begins on May 6, so we will preview this league next Monday to prepare for the 2307 season. SCYL Predictions The SCYL gets started today for its second season. It is noted that the CBO has begun plans for the merger of the youth leagues to have a single Commonwealth Youth League, but the exact date for that merger has not yet been announced. This season, four teams join the SCYL: the Sandwich Screamers, the Wareham Comets, the North Providence Phantoms, and the East Providence Skulls. For 2307, the Truro Hatchlings of the Cape Cod League and the Freeplat Wicked Goods of the Providence League are expected to be at the top. The Harwich Fishheads and the New Bedford Whales are also expected to win their divisions. Full predictions are below. In the inaugural season, the Chatham Lighthouse defeated the Wicked Goods, 3 games to 1. Some of the expected top hitters in each league include: CCL - LF Watch Estheroots (Truro), 1B Heddic Volunnar (Eastham), 1B Fura Morrard (Truro), and LF Finn Tarberry (Eastham). PL - RF Sebastian Lort (Woodlawn), 1B Brunwulf Freewinter (Freeplat), CF Day Poclinter (Brown), and 1B Tram Melstu (New Bedford). Some of the expected top pitchers are: CCL - SP Sarthis Idren (Harwich), SP Andrew Groom (Truro), SP Tarzan Rogers (Sandwich), and SP Burt Bloodhound (Wellfleet). PL - SP Thrifty Tony Malacara (Woodlawn), SP Nervous Patron (Freeplat), SP Hitman Medicman (Freeplat), and SP Monte Ward (East Providence).

2307 Season Pass Association
---------------------------------------------------------- Nuka News Update Reporting on the NWL, APL, NWLR, and BBL Leagues by Evan Guy 6 May 2307 Grape, Cherry Expected to Return to Nuka Series It has yet to happen for a rematch in the Nuka Series from the two teams there the year before, but the 2307 prediction is expecting the Grape Painted Ghouls and Cherry Ghoulrillas to rematch in the Nuka Series, this time picking the Painted Ghouls to win the championship. Grape will have a tight race in the North Bradberton Division, with the Victory Cave Crickets expecting to match them in regular season wins but lose the tiebreaker. In the South Bradberton Division, the Ghoulrillas are expected to beat out the Orange Tourists by two games. SS Ah Oona of Grape is the pick to be a standout offensive player. Should Oona reach the predicted 32 home runs, he would set the NWL single-season record held by Melon Sanderson (31 with Wild 2301). Other potential top hitters are 2B Due Crymes (Victory), CF Organizae Brown (Grape), and 1B Antonio Toeclaw (Quartz). Orange's SP Bull Johnson is the pick to be the top pitcher, beating out Cherry's Neil Persian, Quantum's Smoker Caliman, and SP David Hill of Cherry. Top newcomers include LF Ed Tarberry, a 2306 backup with University Point of the CBO, and SP Phlip Wallace, who went 12-8 with a 4.50 ERA with University Point. The 38-year-old Wallace has a 129-73 career record with a 3.24 ERA in the CBO. Vim! View Veracious, Vivacious, Vainglorious Vision of the Vim! Leagues by Vikky Vail 6 May 2307 Dalton Farm Picked to Win Fifth Straight The Dalton Farm Fog Crawlers are expected to win the Vim! League yet again. The winners of the last four championships, along with the Season Pass Association, the Fog Crawlers are yet again much more powerful than the rest of the league. In the Harbor Division, the Grand Hotel Atoms are expected to win yet again for a rematch in the 2306 Vim! Series. Dalton Farm's 3B Ryan Morris is expected to be out his teammate, CF Toppie Gunn, along with Acadia's 1B Angus MacGuyver and Echo Lake's CF Witcher Craft for the top hitter award. For pitching, Far Harbor's SP Alex Ruder is the prediction to win the award. Other competitors include SP Jason Woods of Echo Lake, SP Justin Quast of Dalton Farm, and SP Keith Lighthouse of the Fog Crawlers.

May 2307
BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 13 May 2307 CBO Analysis We have seen this story before. Just a quarter of the season is through, and the Roxbury Rad Sox are dominating the league. At nine games up in their league and seven games up on the CBO, we are calling this one. No team can beat them regularly. Without a doubt, the Sox are #1. After going 9-1 in the past two weeks and currently on a six-game streak, Roxbury has been too hot to handle. The Rad Sox swept Goodneighbor (#21), won two of three over Vault 81 (#9), swept Atom (#3), and then swept Oberland (#23). Tied for the best record in the NCA and a 7-3 stretch in the last 10, the Easy Town Assaultrons are #2. The Assaultrons got swept at Bunker Hill (#16), swept Nahant (#19), swept Fort Hagen (#24), and then won two of three at County Crossing (#8). Still atop the Minutemen League despite a 5-5 mark in their last 10, the Atom Cats are #3. The Cats swept the Dwellers, won two at the Hancocks, got swept by the Sox, and then lost two of three versus Spectacle Island (#11). Nordhagen Beach is tied with the Assaultrons for the Brotherhood League lead and come in at #4 after going 6-4 the past two weeks. The Party Boys split with Lexington (#18), won two over the Bloodbugs, swept Concord (#20), and then won one at the Celtics. Salem is the third BL team in the Top 5 after going 6-4 in their last 10 and just one game back of the Trons and Boys. The Witch Hats split with the Silver Shroud, won two of three in a low-scoring series with The Slog (#22), split with Starlight (#12), and then won two of three at the Ghouls. Brotherhood League This one is fun! The four top teams are two games apart in their pursuit of the 2307 BL crown. Even though the Bloodbugs fell from first to fourth this cycle with a 3-7 stretch, all signs point to them being the favorites still. The strange thing for County Crossing is that their starting pitching unit is suddenly struggling, falling to 7th in the NCA in ERA (4.62). Bendy Barman (2-4, 7.61) has been the greatest perpetrator, but Gavin Eviritts (3-2, 4.44) and Whip Lashley (4-0, 4.42) have also been giving up lots of runs. The offense is still churning, including having four players--Babs Rooth (.314/14/28), Zeldolph Violet (.264/12/30), Cy Thompson (.323/11/27), and Any Why (.331/10/21)--already with double-digit home runs and all on pace to hit 40+. Institute League No team has been able to distinguish itself, but Sunshine Tidings took two of three over Starlight to tie for the league lead. Bunker Hill went 8-2 to trail only Roxbury in the last two weeks. That puts the 75ers only four games back, and there could be chances for them to make a move to the top. If the pitching could improve for the 75ers, they could be true competitors. Currently 11th in runs allowed (181), every starter outside Jason Tonelli (3-2, 3.33) has an ERA above 5.00. CL Danny Rocketman (7 SV, 6.14) has also struggled. Minutemen League This league is almost as much fun as the BL. With four teams all within three games of each other, the league race could be a tight one. While University Point is the most talented team, they are not the healthiest, which allows all of Atom, Quincy, and Spectacle Island to stay above them. One team we have not talked about is the Gunners. While not great in any unit, they are 1st in OBP (.376), which has helped them to rank 4th in runs scored (177). Just a couple of other team statistics stand out, including being 13-4 at home and 14-6 in games with a RHP starting. Outside of Ben Pettinato (.328/6/26), the Gunners have quite a few left-handed batters, which has helped them in an RHP-heavy league. Railroad League If we ignore Roxbury for a minute, the race for 2nd place is just as exciting as the other leagues. Vault 81 is in 2nd, but 5th-place Diamond City only trails by two games. However, the Dwellers also got bad news with star Harry Byrd breaking his leg, which will keep him out until around July 1. Diamond City and FHE both had strong starts but have begun to fade, including the Yao Guai going 2-8 in their last 10. While the offense has produced, the pitching has struggled throughout, currently 11th in runs allowed (172). SP Aaron Demps (5-1, 2.67) has been the one jewel in the rotation. CBO Standings CBO Power Rankings CBO Players of the Week May 6 - Donny Kowalski of Bunker Hill was a smashing success this week, winning the Player of the Week Award in the North Charles Association. He hit everything the pitchers threw at him, hammering them for a .588 batting average, going 10 for 17 with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scoring 9 times. In his stats this season, Kowalski has posted a batting average of .318 with 28 hits in 88 at-bats, 8 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has also scored 15 runs, walked 10 times and compiled a .394 OBP. There's no arguing that 35-year-old Bill Chaney has paid his dues and this this week he collected. The University Point Deathclaws right fielder had one of the best weeks of his career and captured the South Charles Association Player of the Week trophy. He hit .571 while collecting 8 hits in 14 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Thus far this season Chaney is hitting .288 with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 19 hits in 66 at-bats and has played in 23 games. May 13 - His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Lannie Tykeson was rewarded with the North Charles Association Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Easy Town Assaultrons first baseman hit .450 while collecting 9 hits in 20 at-bats, 5 home runs and 13 RBIs. Tykeson is hitting .336 for the season with 14 home runs, 34 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 41 hits in 122 at-bats and played in 32 games. Ben Pawlak is respected by most Roxbury Rad Sox fans for his no-frills style of play. The 30-year-old center fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the South Charles Association Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .409 average (9-for-22) with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. In the current season, Pawlak has put up a .315 batting average with 41 hits, 7 home runs, 27 runs batted in and scored 29 runs. Heh!
News story for the Commonwealth:
Schnozz and Mustache Fight, Get Suspended If there wasn't a history between Nosy Schnozz of Union Hope and Hard Mustache of Corvega, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 5 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Schnozz said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." This year Schnozz is hitting .219, produced 8 RBIs and 1 home runs, scored 9 times and gotten on base at a .389 rate. His record this year is 0-0 in 2 starts and Mustache has a 8.15 ERA.

BNN Weekly Report This Week in the CBO, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 27 May 2307 CBO Analysis We have hit the perfect number, the everything, the meaning of life in the number of games. There is now a new sheriff at the top (we'll get to that soon) in the NCA and Roxbury continuing to create distance in the SCA. With that stated, let's take a look at the Top 5. Coming in at #1 is the CBO's best team, the Roxbury Rad Sox. The Sox went a CBO tied for second best (7-3) in the past two weeks, just behind Oberland's 8-2 mark. Roxbury split with University Point (#4), won one at Vault 81 (#6), swept Jamaica Plain (#14), and swept Diamond City (#20) to run its winning streak to six games. Easy Town is #2 after taking over first place in the Brotherhood League and North Charles Association. The Assaultrons went 6-4, including a big sweep over the 2nd-place team in the battle for 1st place. The Trons were swept at Starlight (#11), swept Nahant (#17), got swept by Concord (#22), and then swept Nordhagen Beach (#8) in a series they entered trailing the Party Boys by two games. Atom is #3 after going 6-4 in the past two weeks and holding a two-game lead in the Minutemen League along with being tied with Easy Town for the CBO's second-best record. The Cats swept the Swatters, won one versus Goodneighbor (#23), swept Diamond City again, and then won one at the Claws. With a hot two-week stretch, University Point is #4. Now only two games back of Atom, including series win this past weekend, the Deathclaws matched Roxbury's 7-3 stretch. The Claws split with the Sox, swept Spectacle Island (#7), split at Egret (#19), and then won two of three over the Cats. Count Crossing rounds out the Top 5 at #5 with a 6-4 span in its last 10. Despite being tied for 3rd in the BL, the Bloodbugs have looked more like a playoff team as of late. The Bugs split at Fort Hagen (#21), won one at Salem (#9), swept Bunker Hill (#16), and then won two at home versus the Witch Hats to tie them for 3rd place in the BL. Brotherhood League With two games separating 1st and 4th place, this league is in a race to the best. In a month's time, we reach the halfway point, and then we can really start to see which team(s) will emerge. Salem is really starting to intrigue us as to how close they are to taking over the BL. The Witch Hats are currently tied for 3rd in scoring (196) and tied for 2nd in runs allowed (171). The runs scored number is despite being 6th or lower in every offensive category. It means that they are finding ways to score, with the help of opposing defenses, but we also could see the offense being even better down the stretch. Despite hitting 51 home runs (tied for 6th), the Hats have shown some power throughout the lineup. 1B Needham Tickler (.325/10/29) and CF Andy Dogleash (.278/10/29) are leading the way. Three other players are capable of finishing with 20+ home runs, led by LF Dan Erb (.312/6/21), along with 3B Booth Larson (.269/7/28) and RF Danny Faraday (.273/6/23). Pitching has been solid with SP Jaa Thirtysix (5-4, 3.57) and SP Chase Wede (2-4, 3.66) getting solid innings, and CL Justin Wilkerson (10 SV 2.45) is doing well. There could be some depth concerns if any of those three pitchers were to go down, so it could be possible to move a prospect or two to shore up the staff. Institute League The roller coaster of hot and cold and freezing continues in this league. Sunshine Tidings took over 1st place yet again with a weekend sweep of Concord while Starlight dropped all three games to Fort Hagen. Now the IL appears to be a race with four teams within three games of 1st place. Bunker Hill and Lexington beat each other up over the weekend to prevent another team being right up there with both the Chemists and Killers. At four games below .500, they are not winning regularly, but it does not mean Lexington cannot turn things around with just a few key pieces in place. Any team appears that it could battle for and win either of the two playoff spots, generating caps for that team. The Synths are 9th in runs scored (167) and 7th in runs against (180). The best player on the team is currently LF Gee Force (.241/7/26), but Lexington could win more with more contributions from the rest of the lineup. The Synths lack in power hitting, with Force's seven home runs leading the team. Minutemen League Don't look now, but the banged up Claws are back in the race. Just two games back of Atom, while Quincy has begun its descent, University Point would be the 3rd seed (tied with Vault 81) if the playoffs were to start today. Spectacle Island is also in the thick of the ML race. For University Point, they did get SS Austin Engill (.265/2/9) back yesterday, and we are not sure how much they miss RF Tomas Jones with 35-year-old RF Bill Chaney (.269/11/28) having one of the best years of his career, which started as being Egret's 5th-round pick in the 2296 Inaugural Draft. 1B Barker Cocoa (.389/20/59) continues to light up opposing pitching, leading 13 of 24 offensive categories in the SCA and ranked in three others, including being just three total bases behind leader Diamind Ball of the Reapers. Railroad League Last time, we mentioned there was Roxbury and then everyone else. Well, now, it may be the Rad Sox and Vault 81 and everyone else after the Dwellers created some distance over every team but Oberland. The T-51s may be starting to wake up, which could be scary for the rest of the SCA, but for now, they remain solely in 6th place in the RL. For Vault 81, the quest for the 3rd seed appears to be their best position to make a championship run. The Dwellers are now tied for 2nd in runs scored (242) and 8th in runs against (211). Part of their high runs allowed mark is that their starting pitching has been nothing like it was in 2306, especially record-settting ace Exxie Summerset (4-6, 3.97). While he is not pitching poorly, he was lights out in just about every start last season, while he is a bit of the legendary Jekyll and Hyde when on the mound this season. SP Randy Kaplan (4-4, 4.88) is the only other pitcher with an ERA below 5.00. CBO Standings CBO Power Rankings CBO Players of the Week May 20 - 25-year-old Booth Larson sent shock waves through Commonwealth Baseball Organization last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the North Charles Association Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Larson made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .421 average, 8 hits in 19 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBI. Where the Salem Witch Hats third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Larson certainly made his mark last week. Larson has collected 40 hits for the Witch Hats this year, 7 of them home runs. He has also netted 26 RBIs and scored 20 runs while batting .276. It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Diamond Ball, the Spectacle Island Reapers 23-year-old second baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for South Charles Association Player of the Week honors. He ripped 11 hits in 19 at-bats, compiling a .579 average with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. So far this season Ball has put up a .421 batting average with 61 hits, 15 home runs and 40 RBIs. May 27 - It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Baktu DaWell, the Sunshine Tidings Chemists 25-year-old right fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for North Charles Association Player of the Week honors. He ripped 9 hits in 19 at-bats, compiling a .474 average with 3 home runs and 7 RBIs. Hitting .329 to date, DaWell has 17 home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 42 games. Today the South Charles Association announced the Player of the Week Award. This week's honoree is Vault 81 third baseman Knud Bather. When he steps into the batter's box, it's usually bad news for pitchers. For the week he batted .450 (9-for-20) with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. This year Bather has hit at a .292 clip with 45 hits, 12 home runs, 37 RBIs and 29 runs scored. June 2307
BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 3 June 2307 The June Super Post, Part 1 CBO Players of the Month NCA Hitter - Lannie Tykeson battered North Charles Association pitchers all May and wound up taking home the Batter of the Month Award. "I've been around Commonwealth Baseball Organization long enough to know you really have to work hard day in and day out to be able to put up this kind of consistency," the 29-year-old Tykeson told reporters. "I put in a lot of work, even on the days I might not take the field, and it's always nice when everything comes together for me like it did this last month." In 22 games, Tykeson hit .341 with 9 home runs, 25 RBIs and scored 16 runs. Tykeson is hitting at a .341 mark this season. His stats show 18 home runs, 44 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has played 45 games for the Assaultrons. SCA Hitter - The South Charles Association has selected its Hitter of the Month for May and the honor went to Barker Cocoa, University Point's fine first baseman. Cocoa was selected after batting .410, hitting 9 home runs, scoring 22 runs and driving in 32. This season Cocoa has hit at a .394 clip and produced 60 runs batted in, 20 home runs and 45 runs. NCA Pitcher - In May when the Bunker Hill manager wrote the name "Tonelli" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Jason Tonelli took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 4-1 mark and 1.65 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted 75ers star pitched 49 innings, fanned 55 and held opposing teams to a .173 average. For his outstanding mound performance Tonelli was named the NCA Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. In 11 starts this season, Tonelli has picked up 6 wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 87 innings, allowed 62 hits, struck out 107 and posted a 2.59 ERA. SCA Pitcher - Andy Helium was the #1 pitcher in May according to the voters. He completely shut down opposing teams to win the South Charles Association Pitcher of the Month Award. Roxbury's star reliever held the opposition to a .094 average and put up 9 saves and 12 strikeouts in 16.1 innings with a 2-1 mark and a 1.65 ERA. Looking at his pitching stats this season, Helium has made 29 relief appearances, pitched 29.2 innings and fashioned a 2-3 record with a 1.21 ERA. He has recorded 19 saves, struck out 27 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .229 when he is on the hill. NCA Rookie - Youngster Plain Morris emerged as the latest North Charles Association Rookie of the Month today. The young man from The Slog deserved the honor, batting .296 with 9 home runs and 14 runs batted in. Is the month of May a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Morris enjoy the limelight. This season Morris is hitting at a .233 pace with 9 home runs, 23 RBIs and has scored 22 times. SCA Rookie - Sum Downie is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest South Charles Association Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers. In May the Roxbury hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .436 average with 24 hits, 5 home runs and 14 RBIs. This season Downie has hit at a .322 clip with 26 RBIs, 9 home runs and 27 runs scored. He has played in 42 games. CBO Rookie Watch: CF Missile Crews, Goodneighbor It may not be ideal for a rookie to go from the youth leagues straight to the CBO, but that is exactly what Goodneighbor decided to do when they drafted CF Missile Crews out of West Quincy of the BYDL. In his four-year youth career with the Atomatoys, Crews hit .379 with 107 home runs and 281 RBI. He scored 298 times and stole 79 bases. His 19.34 career WAR is the best all-time in the BYDL. In other rankings, his OBP (.470) is 9th, OPS (.1.209) is 8th, SLG (.739) is 9th, total bases (785) is 4th, homers is 4th, RBI is tied for 5th, stolen bases is tied for 3rd, and times walked (180) is 9th. Those are pretty good numbers, but they do not exactly translate to Crews being CBO-ready. However, that did not stop the Hancocks' new scouting director Clawhammer Zimmerman, hired midseason last year, from hyping him. Manager Nick Pennington and hitting coach Holger Fleming both agreed, playing Crews a lot in the Nuka Cup Tournament and then deciding in Spring Training that he may be their best player. That put Crews as the opening day starter in CF batting 3rd in the lineup. And how has Crews awarded those decisions to play him early? A probable all-star appearance and likely top rookie award. Crews is batting .344 with 11 home runs and 36 RBI, all well on the way to leading the team. He is 12th in the CBO in batting average, tied for 10th with 62 hits, 13th with a .427 OBP, 18th with a .606 SLG, 4th in WAR at 3.1, and tied for 10th with seven stolen bases. One bad statistic common for young players is that he is 3rd with 51 strikeouts. OSA scouts love him. One OSA scout said that he expects him to surpass great CBO center fielders like Ben Pawlak and Aesed Hayjen by 2308. "He's elite," the scout said. "I'd put him right up there with (Nuke) Laloosh and (Diamond) Ball as the best ever #1 picks. In the end, I expect him to be the best." CBO Statistics

June 2307
BNN Report News from the CBO, MML, BMU, GBRL, and Youth Leagues by Nat Wright-Kawolski 3 June 2307 The June Super Post, Part 2 MML Analysis The first two months of the season is complete, and the division races have heated up. The LL's Boggs Division leader, the Abernathy Adamantium, have the largest lead by five games. Meanwhlle, in the other LL division, the Murtagh, the Finch Farm Shamrocks and Malden Grognaks are tied with the Everett Mutant Hounds back by just one game. In the SL Williams Division, the Eastlake Aquaboys are up by three, and in the Yastrzemski Division, the Brookline Bandoliers are up by two. MML Players of the Month LL Hitter - Abernathy fans certainly took notice of Syd Thriftstore's performance in May. The 19-year-old first baseman had .395 batting average, with 15 home runs, 34 RBIs, 24 runs scored and a .465 on-base percentage. It all culminated in him being named the Legends League Batter of the Month. This year Thriftstore is batting .374 with 64 hits, 22 home runs, 56 RBIs, 27 walks, .455 OBP and has scored 43 runs. SL Hitter - Players often talk about having career years. May was a career month for Bobby Thesea. The 28-year-old Needham left fielder bested all others and has been named the Stars League Batter of the Month. He put together an eye-popping month that saw him hit .342, with 14 home runs, 27 RBIs, 23 runs scored and a .467 on-base percentage. This season Thesea has delivered 45 hits in 147 at-bats for a .306 average with 20 home runs. He is getting on base at a .411 clip and his totals also include 43 RBIs and 35 runs scored. This year Thesea has played in 43 games. LL Pitcher - The Pitcher of the Month Award in May has been selected and the Legends League honor went to Danvers hurler, Beaux Beaux. For his excellent performance he has been named the league's top pitcher. During the month, Beaux was superb with a 1.88 ERA and 4 wins and 1 loss. In 48 innings he struck out 34 and gave up 33 hits and 14 walks. His record for the year is 5-4 in 12 starts and Beaux has a 3.93 ERA. SL Pitcher - When Natick bullpen ace Jason Worry came into the game, good things happened. For his impressive month of May he was named the Stars League Pitcher of the Month. The Big Leaguers reliever had 3 saves for the month with a 5-0 record and 4.05 ERA. He made 12 relief appearances, hurled 13.1 innings, yielded 15 hits, fanned 10 and walked 3. Up to this point in the season, Worry has made 20 relief appearances with 7 saves. Worry has also recorded a 5-2 won-lost mark with a 4.09 ERA. In 22 innings he has fanned 16. BMU Analysis Only one of the four leagues of the BMU is a close one at this point in the season. The MA's Downtown Boston League is led by the Plymouth Pilgrims with the Charles View Cannibals and Trinity Plaza Snipers a game back. Two other league leaders, the Brockton Irish of the Dark Hollow Pond League and the Worcester Cannons of the Glowing Sea League are up by four games. In the CA's Cambridge League, the Mystic Pines Raybathers are up by seven. BMU Players of the Month CA Hitter - Not known for his offensive prowess, Jacob Tarberry set the league afire in May and took home the Commonwealth Association Batter of the Month award. The Brockton third baseman posted a steady .405 batting average, 15 home runs, 33 RBIs and 30 runs. MA Hitter - Yip Yick Ping has a lot going for him. The Charles View first baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Massachusetts Association has just picked him as its top hitter for May. In 20 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .434 with 7 home runs, 30 RBIs and 18 runs scored. CA Pitcher - The Commonwealth Association made it official today -- Doug Creep of the Brockton Irish is the Pitcher of the Month. In May he impressed the sportswriters with his domination of league hitters. Creep made 5 starts, registered 3 wins and no losses with a solid 2.57 ERA. In 35 innings he allowed 26 hits, racked up 25 strikeouts, walked 7 and permitted teams to hit .213 against him. MA Pitcher - Last month was a very good one for Dogma Moretooth of Trinity Plaza. So good that he has been picked as the Pitcher of the Month in the Massachusetts Association. Moretooth throttled league hitters the entire month, completing May with an impressive 3-0 mark and a 1.71 ERA in 4 starts with 27 strikeouts in 26.1 innings. GBRL Analysis Most divisions are still up for grabs, with the exception of the Southeast Division where the Poseidon Energy Mongrels lead by eight games. The other division leaders are the Northeast Division's Marblehead Grenades, the Northwest Division's Corvega Flames, and the Southwest Division's Fiddler's Green T-60s (Obe). GBRL Players of the Month NL Hitter - For a rookie just breaking in, Tony Two-time certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the NL Batter of the Month award for May. The 19-year-old first baseman for the Marblehead Grenades hit .442 with 10 home runs, 34 RBIs and 22 runs scored. SL Hitter - Even though he is a newcomer to Greater Boston Rookie League, Polite Richardson put up some good numbers in May and earned the SL Batter of the Month award. He was one of Poseidon Energy's offensive leaders with a .442 average in 20 games. He also racked up 9 home runs, 22 RBIs, and 31 runs scored. NL Pitcher - The Corvega Flamers celebrated today after the news filtered through the clubhouse that Ponda Baba had been selected as May's North League Pitcher of the Month. Baba's zest for the game has been a frequent topic on the sports pages and his numbers of late have made his fans even more enthusiastic. "Our coaching staff really helps me prepare well," Baba said, "and the fans feed off good pitching. Your pitches just seem to have that extra pop to them when the fans are behind you and you feel confident you can get outs." Baba tossed 39.1 innings last month, holding opponents to a .143 average while striking out 40 batters. In 5 starting assignments he came away with a 4-0 record, putting together an ERA of 0.46. SL Pitcher - It's official! Bucket Bill Brown of the Poseidon Energy Mongrels is the South League Pitcher of the Month. In May he dominated the league with 5 wins and no losses in 5 starts. In 41 innings of work Brown chalked up 50 strikeouts, 7 walks, a 0.00 ERA and held opposing hitters to a .140 batting average. BYDL Analysis The BYDL has completed its first month, so things still have a lot of chances to change. At 18-7, the Spectacle Island Specters have the league's top record. Here are all of the division leaders: Benjamin Franklin - Beantown Sprouts Ralph Waldo Emerson - Stoneham Commandos Margaret Fuller - Kendall Hospital Yahoos Paul Revere - Lynn Pier Gamers Samuel Adams - Needham Radstorm Louisa May Alcott - Castle Freedom Samuel Morse - South Beach Waves Crispus Attucks - Spectacle Island Specters BYDL Players of the Month NR Hitter - When Blaine Stabb stepped up to the plate in May he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the North Region Batter of the Month award. The young Kendall Hospital center fielder posted a .396 batting average with 11 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 34 runs. Stabb also worked pitchers for 29 walks to post a .541 on-base percentage. SR Hitter - Turbo Blackwood made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the South Region this past month. The Wellesley Brahmin first baseman shined through the month of May and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 16-year-old hit .427 with 11 home runs, 36 RBIs and 26 runs scored. NR Pitcher - Sluggo Pyne certainly found a groove in May. The Beantown starter posted 6 wins last month to easily claim the North Region Pitcher of the Month. During the month Pyne was 6-0 with a 1.29 ERA. He made 7 starts, tossed 48.2 innings and had 76 strikeouts. SR Pitcher - There's no doubt that Locksmiths starter Clubhouse Treelover earned his South Region Pitcher of the Month award. He left absolutely no room for doubt as he mowed his way through the opposition in May. During the month Treelover was 7-0 with a 2.37 ERA. He made 7 starts, tossed 57 innings and had 78 strikeouts. SCYL Analysis All division leaders have similar records with one really tight division. In the Cape Cod Bay Division, the Truro Hatchlings have a one-game lead over the Provincetown Land Pirates and Chatham Lighthouse. In the Nantucket Sound Division, the Sandwich Screamers have a four-game lead. In the Seekonk River Division, the Woodlawn Red Clay also have a four-game lead. Finally, in the Narragansett Bay Division, the New Bedford Whales have a three-game advantage. SCYL Players of the Month CCL Hitter - At only 16 years of age, Gorgeous George Davis could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Sandwich Screamers, as May was one to remember for the right fielder and he has captured the Cape Cod League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .360 with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and 29 runs scored. PL Hitter - Woodlawn Red Clay fans believe they've got a talented young star in Sebastian Lort. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in May, as he hit .440 with 6 home runs, 33 RBIs and 36 runs scored. The end result was the right fielder being named the Providence League Batter of the Month. CCL Pitcher - An outstanding 6-1 record in May earned Tarzan Rogers the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Cape Cod League. When his name was penciled in to start on the Sandwich lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams. In 57.1 innings of work, Rogers limited opposing batters to 66 base hits and a .287 batting average. He notched 73 strikeouts, issued 11 walks and had a 2.67 ERA. PL Pitcher - Red Eagle of the Woodlawn Red Clay outdistanced his peers on the mound this month. He fashioned a fine 6-0 won-lost mark and 3.08 ERA in 7 starts to get the Providence League Pitcher of the Month honors. Eagle had a very impressive May, finishing with 57 strikeouts in 52.2 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .222 average.

2307 Season Pass Association
---------------------------------------------------------- Nuka News Update Reporting on the NWL, APL, NWLR, and BBL Leagues by Evan Guy 3 June 2307 NWL We're still early in the NWL season, but the excitement is already ramped up just 24 games in. Right now, the Grape Painted Ghouls are the NWL's best, with the Victory Cave Crickets close behind. The South Bradberton Division is a close race of teams around .500 with the Cherry Ghoulrillas leading with a 13-11 mark. The Orange Tourists are a game back. Victory Cave Crickets fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in May. Jesse Salloum put up a remarkable month at the age of 25 and has been named the Nuka World League Batter of the Month. For the month, Salloum hit .398 with 5 home runs, 30 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Salloum is in his third season with the Cave Crickets, with a career .341 mark with 20 home runs and 115 RBI. He was an all-star in 2306. He was originally a 5th-round pick of the Starlight Lady Killers in the CBO in 2300. In 2304, he was sent to Victory in a trade that sent a well-known player, Jarrett Metalbox, to Starlight. Metalbox twice hit over .400 in the early years of the CBO for the Egret team. Matty Lamplight is the latest Nuka World League Pitcher of the Month trophy winner. The Grape starter sparkled on the diamond time and again last month and finished May with an outstanding 5-0 record. In 5 starts he tossed 39.1 innings, posted 14 strikeouts, and sported a 1.60 ERA. Lamplight is in his 8th season with Grape and has posted a career record of 54-55 with a 4.40 ERA. He led the NWL in victories with 11 in 2301. He was originally drafted by the Warwick Mirelurks of the CBO in the 2296 Rookie Draft. In 2300, he was traded by the Mirelurks to Grape for CL Chemmy Good, who now plays for Dalton Farm of the Vim! League. Edgar Virus wreaked havoc on Nuka World League pitching last month and led the charge for the Rookie of the Month Award. In May he batted .437 for the Cave Crickets, lashing 38 hits and 4 home runs. The Victory left fielder also drove in 15 runs and scored 24 times to round out a most impressive month. Virus joined the NWL this offseason, coming to Victory in a trade with Echo Lake of the Vim! League. With this season and his combined career with the Harbormen, Virus has a career .316 average with 65 home runs and 294 RBI in seven seasons. He was Echo Lake's 6th-round choice in the Vim! League's Inaugural Draft in 2300. Virus is in early contention for both the Nuka King Award and the Nuka Baby Bottle Award. NWL Minors and Youth Round Up The Amusement Park League's divisional leaders are currently the Safari Adventure Gazelles (19-9, 3-game lead) and the Nuka Town Operators (15-13, 1-game lead). It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 24 Phil Dot has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Bradberton Disciples star can enjoy the numbers he put up in May, which have garnered him the nod as the Amusement Park League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .438 average with 9 home runs, 27 RBIs and 26 runs scored. May's standout hurler was Loop Bikameal of Safari Adventure. He muzzled Amusement Park League hitters and held them in check the entire month to capture the Pitcher of the Month award. To win the honor Bikameal compiled an impressive 5-0 mark and 2.20 ERA in 7 starts. The Gazelles star hurler also rung up 29 strikeouts in 41 innings. In the NWLRL, the Red Rocket Radrats (20-11, 4-game lead) and Dunmore Ferris Wheels (19-12, 2-game lead) are the division leaders. In May, Shill Gehrig swung a sweet bat and put together a solid month to win the NWL Rookie League Batter of the Month. The Dunmore left fielder batted .364 with 11 home runs, 42 RBIs and 24 runs scored. The spotlight today is on RP Smooth Finger Harper of the Red Rocket Radrats. The bullpen ace was acclaimed the best pitcher in the NWL Rookie League for May. He compiled a 4-1 mark and an ERA of 2.08 in 17.1 innings with 18 strikeouts and 5 saves in 6 save opportunities. The BBL is nearing its season's end with just nine games to play. Right now, the King Cola Youths hold a slight lead at 19-12 with the Ol' Sugartop Buckaroos and the Starport Nuka Hubologists trailing by just a game and tied for the wildcard spot. The Youths control their own destiny with their season series completed with the Buckaroos (3-3) and two games to finish the season with the Hubologists (3-1 lead for King Cola). Jester Wrexel may be much younger than other hitters in the Bradberton Boys League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in May to win the Batter of the Month award. The 15-year-old Starport Nuka first baseman hit .374 with 8 home runs, 24 RBIs and 20 runs scored. The premier pitcher this past month in the Bradberton Boys League was Icy Summers of the Fizztop Mountain Conquerors. He was one mighty tough pitcher, finishing May with a sensational 5-1 record and a 1.57 ERA. The Conquerors star made 8 starts and surrendered 23 hits in 40 innings. He struck out 49 and walked 20. Vim! View Veracious, Vivacious, Vainglorious Vision of the Vim! Leagues by Vikky Vail 3 June 2307 ViM! League Updates There is still a lot of season left, but a big surprise so far have been the struggles of the forever champions, the Dalton Farm Fog Crawlers (11-13). Winners of the past four Vim! Series and Season Pass Series, the Fog Crawlers are the Vim! League's top offense (173 runs scored), but the worst pitching staff (177 runs allowed). Their lowest starter ERA is Phil Cecil (2-2, 5.72) who went 15-2 with a 3.15 ERA, both league bests in 2306. In the place of Dalton Farm at the top of the Fog Division is the Echo Lake Harbormen (14-10). The Harbormen are 2nd in runs scored (161) and 6th in runs allowed (146), so they do not have a bid edge over Dalton Farm in success. C Chris Dominoes (.442/3/16) has been outstanding in leading the offensive charge. In the Harbor Division, the Far Harbor Ghoul Whales lead with a 15-9 mark. They are tied for 3rd in runs scored (144) and 2nd in runs allowed (111) with the top Starters ERA of 4.61. SP Keith Lighthouse (3-1, 2.82) has been their top starter, though ace Alex Ruder (2-2, 4.60) and SP Noodle Green (2-1, 4.13) are doing OK. Adam Crewmate is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Far Harbor first baseman joined that select company when the Vim! League announced the results of May's voting. Crewmate totaled 41 hits, 12 walks, 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and 18 runs scored last month to put together a .466 batting average and .530 on-base percentage. He finished 2306 with a .364/11/57 line. In May, the elite pitcher in the Vim! League was CL Chris Waters, thanks to some great numbers coming out of the bullpen. The Far Harbor relief specialist posted a 3-1 mark and an ERA of 0.73 in 12.1 innings with 7 strikeouts and 5 saves in 5 save opportunities. His career best for saves in a season is 11. Gladder Questseeker earned May's Rookie of the Month honors in the Vim! League for last month's performance. The boyish Grand Hotel first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Questseeker hit .380 with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. Questseeker, originally drafted by Sunshine Tidings in the 2nd round of the 2303 Draft, signed with the Atoms as a free agent in 2306 after bouncing around a few CBO teams. He batted .425 with 6 home runs and 30 RBI in 37 games with the Haddock Cove Engineers of the MDIL in 2306. Minors and Youth Updates In the MDIL, the Nucleus Radchickens (Small Bertha Division) and the Rayburn Point Patcheyes (Old Longfellow Division) lead the way, each up two games just 24 games into the 2307 season. Mike Pigeonfoot put together a good May to earn the Mount Desert Island League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Rayburn Point officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Patcheyes center fielder posted a .350 batting average with 11 home runs, 25 RBIs and 21 runs scored. In May, when the name of Catchy Clintock appeared on the Rayburn Point lineup card it was a virtual lock on a victory. He started 5 times and chalked up 4 wins and 1 loss. With those stats it was also a virtual lock that he would be named the Mount Desert Island League Pitcher of the Month. Clintock shackled opposing batters on 34 base hits and a .243 batting average. He rang up 19 strikeouts in 38 innings of work, surrendered 15 walks and fashioned a sparkling 3.55 ERA. In the VRL, the Vim Factory Pops and the MS Azalea Shipwrecks are each two games up in their divisions. Vim Factory has won the first three Vim! Rookie League crowns, including defeating the Shipwrecks in 2304. Marc Giddens has been the model of consistency over the past month and has been a tough out, claiming the VIM! Rookie League Batter of the Month trophy for May. The MS Azalea third baseman hit .400 with 14 home runs, 34 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He was also walked 9 times and posted a .459 on-base percentage. The VIM! Rookie League scribes have selected May's Pitcher of the Month and have awarded the honor to Kevin Kohout of MS Azalea. He was outstanding on the hill last month and has the numbers to prove it -- a 4-3 record. The Shipwrecks star performer made 8 starts with a 2.72 ERA and surrendered 32 hits in 49.2 innings. He struck out 68 and walked 18. In the MYL, there are only 11 games left on the season, but who will be there is anyone's guess. In the Mount Desert Island Four, three teams are tied for first place at 15-14: the National Park Rangers, the Cliff's Edge Wolves, and the Beaver Creek Bowlers. At 13-16, the Far Harbor Dockdwellers are very much still alive. May's Batter of the Month Award has been given out by the Mount Desert Island Four. This month's trophy was presented to the Beaver Creek right fielder, Marty Gnome. He starred by hitting .322 with a .474 on-base percentage, totaled 29 hits in 90 at-bats, 8 home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 23 runs. The hottest hurler in the Mount Desert Island Four last month was Hawk Dawson of the Cliff's Edge Wolves. He caught the attention of everybody in the league with some eye-catching stats, good enough to win the MDIF Pitcher of the Month. In May, Dawson starred with an impressive 3-1 record. In 7 starts he gave up 33 base hits and struck out 59 in 54 innings with a 3.00 ERA. In the Great Diamond Island League, the Pleasant Cove Raiders and Diamond Cove Fort Knights are each tied at 18-11. Those two teams are likely battling for the one playoff spot with both Sunset Park and Echo Point six and eight games back, respectively. The #1 hitter in the Great Diamond Island League in May was Diamond Cove first baseman Alex Telltime. He was selected as the Batter of the Month. Telltime starred with a .293 batting average, 10 home runs and 20 RBIs. Fumblefoot Appling of Diamond Cove had an excellent May with a 5-1 record and was selected as the Pitcher of the Month in the Great Diamond Island League. He finished the month with a 2.00 ERA while piling up 53 strikeouts in 54 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .194 batting average.
