Gold 349
Apologies for being later than intended (had some unexpected activities this morning). Nowhere Men only went 4-5 down the stretch but still won OL crown with a few games to spare. Cary Southpaws had a really hot September and are primed for a PT Playoff run.
Cary and Nowhere at the two best records in the league. Silly Mad Brewers was solid down the stretch to make it as a wildcard. Algoma Penguins had a rough last month and will be relegated to Silver (everyone else stays in Gold!). |

Until this evening...
That's all the hardware until the PT playoffs are done. Also attached is the gold playoff tree. With Seattle and Annandale heading back to gold, there will be, at most, only two going up from gold to diamond, with just the winner of Nowhere-Silly a sure thing. That means no more than three at diamond next week.

Oops!
I forgot to account for G328. Knockemstiff or Brooklyn could head up to diamond. One will be certain if the Shiners win their wild card game. Knock 'em dead, Shiners!

A big THANK YOU to all of you guys who unselfishly volunteer several hours every week in posting different league updates at all of the levels we are in. You do a super great job of it and I just want you to know that it is so much greatly appreciated!

I am not too excited to be in the playoffs as Keystone was for the most part a strong team in first 1/2 to 3/4 of the season and within the last month, they lost their commanding 6 game divisional lead and all of their strong mojo seamed to disappear. Based on past experience, this will more than likely carry on over into the playoffs. If Asylum has had a similar late season decline, then this match-up will be a real low scoring, sleeper of a series! ![]() In other club news, on 8/19/53 Dizzy Dean threw a Perfect Game, marking the first Perfect Game I can recall ever having with any of my teams since I started playing back in PT19! ![]()

Are you still packs-only? Just with Dean and Dickey you've done WAY better than Paxville have (hence my giving up on packs-only - 8 months without pulling an actual 'good' card ).

It looks like 3-4 OL teams will get promoted from Silver. The Sugar Hill Gang is not guaranteed if the Baltimore Barons have their say. So far Asylum Keepers are up on the Keystone Kops so there may be some clubhouse funk as you suggest. They won 100 games! |

Yes, I have stuck to my guns and painfully played the whole PT22 with packs-only. I was lucky in receiving several rare cards and have really enjoyed using them and I am glad I did not sell them off however, even they can preform bad at times. It is what it is as it is part of this game! ![]() Quote:
Yes, they are fun to see especially when they are super rare! Quote:
I think someone changed the "clubhouse water" at some point late in the season. We could not right the ship in the playoffs as we dropped three straight to Asylum as I predicted! Oh well, being a Chicago fan, I am use to saying and hearing "There is always next year"! ![]()

. I've got this niggling regret at not sticking with it though... Dickey is still one of the whale's favorites. Brooklyn just advanced 3-1 over Knockemstiff. Good luck Magus, go forth and conquer! |

PT Playoff Check In
S303 is an all OL affair (see attached). That means there will be seven new teams joining gold next week. Knockemstiff should also be rejoining us, as long as OOTP doesn't drop the ball. With Cary heading up to diamond and Algoma back to silver, the line-up should be:
Ananndale, Asylum, Baltimore, Coney Island, HelthWyzer, Knockemstiff, Lemp Ave., Nowhere, Port Ruppert, Seattle, Silly, Sonora High, Sugar Hill, Sunday, Waffletown. Check your list and check my math. I'll post the other lineups a little later. |

Correction
Upon checking, only four teams from silver are promoted to gold, so the juggernaut that is Sugar Hill will remain in silver to terrorize their OL counterparts. Here are the set ups for next season. You know what to do.
Diamond - Paxville, Brooklyn, Cary Gold - Annandale, Asylum, Baltimore, Coney Island, HelthWyzer, Knockemstiff, Lemp Ave., Nowhere, Port Ruppert, Seattle, Silly, Sonora High, Sunday, Waffletown Silver - Algoma, Bluffton, Boston, Boulder City, Cleveland, Gear Terrace, Gettysburg, Inland Empire, Keystone, Las Vegas, Left Coast, New York, Otsego Lake, Shinbone, South Holland, Sugar Hill, Terra Incognita, West Burlington Bronze - Shoebox, San Francisco, Lumberton, Route 66, Daytona Beach, Iron Maiden Iron - Hartford In the PT playoffs, four OL teams remain, with West Burlington facing Otsego Lake in the B260 Series and Sunday battling HelthWyzer in the S303 series. Two more trophies to hand out later!!! |
