Start from the lowest tier and work your way up. Hopefully the card packs you get from completing those missions either garner you a few other cards you need to complete other missions or end up being lucrative duplicates to continue filling your points coffers. I started out with about 350K when I first began my quest with the Orioles being the only Silver and Gold mission sets I had completed. After selling off a few lower performing FOTF cards and also had about 100 regular packs from tourney wins saved up at the time as well. Don't blow your points on Diamonds until you are done with all the gold missions. However it doesn't hurt to check what is on the Diamond card market on occasion if you are pretty close to finishing off a Diamond mission already. There are sometimes a good bargain.

I did it in January for a total of 3.7 million, but that does not count the cards from packs I was able to sell along the way. Should be significantly cheaper now.

That feeling you get when you complete a mission for 3 Diamond Packs that yield you 3 Live Ozzie Albies cards.

And the PT21 Gods continue to prove they have a sense of humor. I pulled a Plaque Worthy card out of a pack. As a FTP player, I have virtually no chance of doing that mission and with a week to go before PT22, I'm not sure who is going to be buying it off the auction house.

I don't know what is worse, losing the Wildcard game, or going to the WS being up 3-0 and losing the Serues?

Well, after nearly 20 weeks, the Seawolves are going back to Perfect. Ironically, the last time the Seawolves won Diamond they were 96-66 and went all the way as a 2nd wildcard. This week, they were a 2nd wildcard after going 96-66. hmmm.
![]() ![]() ![]() Though most are gearing up for PT22, I plan on getting crushed next week.

The Magpies are also off to PeL, after hanging on to win game 7 with a walk off single. (Fun Fact: Just learned today that walk off was originally used to describe the dejected pitcher walking off the mound). The only new face on the team is Mark Belanger, but otherwise it's the same team that was a fixture in last place last time in what was one of the weaker divisions, too. I think I will go for a neutral park instead of my normal hitter's park.
I just realized that every series went the distance including a reverse sweep in the division series. To avoid going 3-0 down in the LCS, the team had to overcome allowing 6 runs in the first two innings with a dramatic 9th inning walk off HR by Ty Cobb. |

So with my interest being increased by the news from OOTP22 hitting a lot of things i don't like about 21 I spent some time on my team last week and did a few newer missions, one of which was Nap Lajoie.
Nap took us from a 75 to 88 win team in gold to a 99 win team that won it's conference but lost the series. He was the unanimous MVP vote with a .374/.433/.688 slash line that included 60 2B and 35 HR (to go along with 31 SB), just the 11 WAR season.

I have to admit the first day was a surprise; leading the division by 4 games. The only downside was ending it on a 3 game losing streak. It is quite the reversal from 2069 when I was 6-21 in April vs. 20-8 today. Is Mark Belanger the key to success?

I can't believe your doing this in Perfect? And opening up a 1st place lead. Defense is a definite key!

It looks like the hot April start was a mirage as the team slowly settles back to earth. Playing about .430 since then is not a recipe for success, but everyone is tightly bunched. Everyone has mostly the same cards so that's expected and another hot month can happen at any time. FWIW, I can only play 1 team and that 1 team is the Collingwood Magpies of PT21 until I win PeL or they stop simulating whichever comes first. If the theme for 22 is MORE, I agree, it's more of the same and I really need a break from it.
