That’s a lot of diamonds… Even if you can’t use them you can certainly sell them and rake in some serious PP there. I think Annandale has gotten two other diamonds in all of the packs I’ve opened but I’m not complaining because there’s no better feeling than getting a historical diamond in a pack.

Thanks, Ed, but no need to bother making a spreadsheet when I've already got one done. All that extra typing - you could break a nail. ![]() Maybe you could explain why my tourney team has gone cold. I checked my last two losses (I usually don't bother looking) to find that my team blew 3-1 leads in both series. |

It wasn't unexpected that my teams would soon find out that limiting oneself to historical players would catch up to you sooner than later. My Baltimore team got lucky and won a 15,000 point Perfect Draft - which boosted them to first place, but the Bullets and Barons are feeling the pains of low achievement point production.
So far, as is obvious, I've used the AH to build all three teams, but I'm weighing the option of opening packs for Gettysburg and Baltimore. As you all know, that is pretty much an all-or-nothing road to follw, but the collection of lower cards to possibly play in standard tournaments is a by-product. In either case, here is Wednesday's results...

Closing in on Live missions!
The Southpaws got a couple of lucky pulls yesterday: a low historical diamond that sold for 19k and a perfect live Scherzer that sold for 23k. As a result, we are getting closer to finishing the live missions: just need to finish Cleveland in the AL (two cards left for 12k more --- those cards are expensive!), and four teams in the NLE (ATL, NYM, PHI, WSH --- total still needed: 11k), and then four teams in the NLW (COL, LAD, SD, SF, total needed::60k, nowhere close) to finish them all.
The good news is that we now have enough PP to be able to afford to finish all but the NLW teams.

The Keystone Kops are in big trouble.
With continued bad pack luck and horrible tournament and Perfect Draft success, the Kops are 5th from the very bottom, in the Rookie League, with one OL team above me and 4 OL teams below me. The bad part is that I am still no where close to being OL compliant. I can't win a single tournament that rewards packs. I can't even win a 8 team Perfect Draft. In my last PD, I had the strongest Pitching staff I have yet to be able to assemble, and "on paper", should have been a powerhouse however, I got swept in 4 straight games. I had a 100 rated pitcher get killed and the other team's pitcher, who was rated a 73, throw a 3 hitter! I have almost given up on wasting my time and effort on tournaments and PD. It is really sad! ![]() I am trying to stay positive however, it is really hard to do when the only packs I can get are from drops, and 99% of the time I get what Charlie Brown always gets......!

Chuckled at the Charlie Brown meme Stick with it. The dry spells are tough, but it's worth the times when things seem to fall your way even when they shouldn't lol...

. The mode does seem a bit odd... BY FAR the best team I've drafted scored 6 runs and lost 4-0. The teams that have done OK have been iffy at best?!

I won my second PD yesterday, for 5000 PP, so that was nice. But I've never pulled a diamond, apart from the two diamond loyalty packs that automatically include a diamond. I'm opening packs -- I get Twitch drops, I do missions, I play challenge mode, etc.
At least the Red Sox - OL are starting to win games. We're in 3rd place in our division now, still 22 games below .500, but improving.

so far won 2 PD tourneys and made the semis in another... been working the Silver tourneys for the standard side, but only managed 2 wins there so far... might have to work on squads for some other tier tourneys as well and see how they go

I’ve won a few PDs. No real strategy involved, just picking what I think would make the best team at the time. I don’t take a chance of there being pitchers late so I do grab them early & go DEF if I can’t.

I'm guessing I've won about 15,000 PP in PD, with half of it coming from a first and a second in two 5K tourneys. I think I've also won a couple of 2K tourneys. I mostly just pick guys I think are fun to have, so I don't grab many newer players, since I don't follow baseball anymore. Sometimes I have to be careful I don't leave a position too short. Once I forgot to get a second catcher until the last round and there were none. I'm guessing he tired out pretty quick. I do always check out the future legend cards. A lot of the time they're very strong. I have to admit that it's pretty fun, though I wish they'd do pack prizes.
As far as pack tourneys go, they seem to run in streaks, where I'll hit for 5-10 packs in an hour or two and then nothing for a couple of days. All with the same team and strategy. |

I stopped checking my tourney results after I checked three in a row and saw that my team blew two 3-1 leads and a 3-0 lead. I just let happen what happens.

Luckily the PD is faster now that you don't have to wait for your cards to all pop in at once. I can generally whip out a draft and jigger the lineup in 15 minutes.
