A bunch of Bluefield players announced their retirements.
Jorge Alcala. Career independent minor leaguer who signed a contract with the Jays back in April. Darling Cuesto. Low level minor leaguer with a few organizations. Came to the Jays from the Marlins in the trade that brought Greg Nappo. Evan Holland. Drafted by the Nationals and got as high as AA. Came to the Jays in 2021 as part of the trade that brought Ryan Moseley. Jacob Evans. Made it to AAA at one point, but mostly had a series of minor league contracts. Signed with the Jays only in August. Tim Flight. Mostly an Independent player. Signed with the Jays back in April. Angher Cespedes. Bounced around Independent ball. Signed with the Jays in April. Mario Adames. Joined the Jays from the Rays in the Martin Gonzalez trade back in 2018. Was released the same year. He played Independent ball until being resigned by the Jays in July. Joel Belboder. Signed by three different Major League organizations out of independent ball. The Jays singed him 2022 and again in April of this year. Steve Ascher. Released by the Rays in 2018, played Independent ball until the Jays signed him back in July.

Brooks Pounders left the game early with a shoulder ailment that will likely to send him to the IL for a couple of weeks, but the Jays fought past it to beat the Rangers, 10-6. The Jays took a lead into the 9th but Luke Yelverton could not hold it and they lost, 7-5, to the Rays, in the first game of a double header. Isael Soto went 3 for 5 with a home run. Dunedin Players retiring:
Kenny Towns - Played 135 games in the Majors from 2012 - 2014, but was never able to make it back up. He came in a trade from the Angels in July. Juan Corniel - Peaked at AAA but has mostly been in the low minors. He signed a minor league deal with the Jays in April of this year. Reinier Roibal - Pitched in 164 Major League games, mostly as a starter and mostly with the Phillies between 2016 and 2020. He also appeared with the Rangers. He signed a minor league deal with the Jays before the 2022 season. Jake McKenzie - Peaked at AAA. He signed a minor league deal with the Jays in April of this year.

Miguel Sulbaran signed a minor league deal.
The following Lansing players announced their retirement: Hunter Stratton - got as high as AAA. Has been in the Blue Jays organization since 2020 when he came from the Royals in the same deal that brought Greg Nappo. Tyler Frost - topped out at high A. Has also been in the organization since 2020. He came from the Tigers in the deal that sent Yodel Rivera the other way. Abel De Los Santos - Spent a lot of time in Mexico and Independent leagues. Signed with the Jays back in August. Jefry Yan - Lansing was the highest he ever got. He joined the Jays' organization back in August.

The Jays made a late push, but it was much too late as they lost, 10-6, to the Orioles. Jonathan Rodriguez hit his first home run of the year.
