Todd Adkins

Lumpkin -- A word about basic courtesy on this forum, if I may. You had requested a photo of Todd Adkins previously, and I had taken the time to find one and post it for you. It is the first one attached below. It shows him with the Gastonia Jets. It's from the Greensboro (NC) News and Record of June 27, 1985. Admittedly, it's not of great quality, but if you were dissatisfied with it, you could begin your new request by saying you have a photo, but you're looking for an improved version, instead of leaving us who do the work of finding photos thinking that we're going after a player whose image has never been posted.

To do you an additional favor, I've found a clearer photo of him in the basketball uniform of his Ellwood High School team. That photo is from the Fremont (OH) News-Messenger of Dec. 30, 1982.

Hamilton Graham

Hello to all my fellow enthusiasts here. I'm looking for an image of a Cardinals and Yankees farmhand who played in the late 40's and early 50's. Most of his efforts were at Class B. A left handed pitcher named Hamilton Graham. Thank you in advance for your efforts in bringing this old southpaw back into the light of day.

Leonardo Chapman Medina

The Rookie of the Year of the 1942-43 Puerto Rican league Leonardo Chapman Medina. Medina played in the Negro League in '44 for the Baltimore Elite Giants and in the Mexican League until 1949. So far I have found his stats as a position player in 1944 but not his position. Medina was a lefthanded thrower and hitter and listed at 5'7 or 5'8 so I assume he was in center or left field.

Pat Scantlebury

Here is the Panamanian hurler on the cover of the Havana Sugar Kings program Beisbolito 1956. Pat Scantlebury would pitch briefly that year making his major league debut with the Cincinnati Reds at the age of 38. During his Negro League career Scantlebury would pitch 9 seasons for the New York Cubans. Pat Scantlebury , a man who made to the bigs a little too late.

Leonardo Medina

Thank you, Pinson, for posting the photo of Medina. He was also known as Lazaro Medina. His main position was pitcher. That is verified by his listing in the ENCICLOPEDIA DEL BEISBOL MEXICANO, which shows his pitching stats from 1946 through 1948 in the Mexican League; in James Riley's BIOGRAPHICAL ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE NEGRO LEAGUES, and in SABR's THE NEGRO LEAGUES BOOK, by Larry Lester and Dick Clark. I also have a note that he was a first baseman while with the 1944 Baltimore Elite Giants, but don't know where the source of that info came from.

Chet Bergalowski

Found this photo of Bergalowski on YouTube. He is shown as a coach in Jones County. Through another source, I learned that the West Palm Beach Braves' Bergalowski was from Jones County, Mississippi. In college, he was a catcher and a football player, so that would be consistent with the body type shown in this photo.

Hector Brito is shown below on a 1974 Venezuelan Baseball Stamp. It is currently for sale on Amazon and eBay.
