My impression, FWIW, is that they plan to use the Topps name extensively. As far as what exactly they will be selling, who knows? Here's one item using "Topps Vault" with the Fanatics logo, too https://www.walmart.com/ip/Frank-Tho...fied/427725471 Maybe this kind of "digital collectibles" too? (The dates of some of this are very recent). Looks also like they sell PSA type packaged graded cards certified by Fanatics, also at Walmart https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...hl=en_US&gl=US Last edited by Buster Narum; 03-01-2022 at 06:00 PM. |

Jack Ridgway 1914
Here's another photo of Ridgway, from the Columbia Record (Columbia SC) on May 16, 1913. It was probably from 1909 when he was with Greensboro. Within a couple of days of this photo being published, Ridgway jumped to the St. Louis Federals club and pitched the season under the name Jack Mullin (or Mullen, depending on the newspaper).

Thanks, prewinter, for the photo of Ridgway. Since he was with Columbia (SC) in 1912 and there is a "C" on his cap and your photo is from a 1913 Columbia newspaper, I would think that the uniform would be a Columbia, not Greensboro, one.

I have this one on file for Ridgway as well, from the 1910 Greensboro team collage.

Nat Hicks 1872?
I've long suspected that the 1870s era Mutuals cabinet photo depicted famous (and infamous) catcher Nat Hicks. I'd like to know what the consensus opinion is though. The primary exemplar we have of Hicks is a woodcut from late in his life. He is also depicted in a scene that is likely embellished about injuries he received to his face but remained resilient towards finishing the game. That woodcut is important because the uniform matches the unknown cabinet photo player closely. I will leave all three for discussion.

There is definitely a 2022 Topps set - you can see samples here, with a checklist: https://www.cardboardconnection.com/...baseball-cards Based on the rest of what I see, it looks like they want to use the Topps name as a selling point, and I can't imagine them killing the brand at all. |

Is there software out there that would be able to take the cabinet photo and rotate it to match the angle of the woodcut? (I think that would work better than trying to other way around.) |

I agree with all those points, though I can't always depend on woodcuts to be 100% accurate. He was also know for receiving massive facial injuries. So I like the chances but am not completely sold yet

Is there an online database of the Topps Vault photos? I know there used to be years ago but that site is now gone.
Also Just found out that member Rico43/David Jenkins passed away in October of this past year. He had been in poor health for some time, I used to talk to him daily. I know he had a backup of pretty much all of the photos, does anyone know if he did anything with them? Last edited by stlcardsfan; 03-09-2022 at 07:22 PM. |

Remini App
Thanks for the quick reply. One problem for me. I'm a 'dinosaur' as I do not have or own a cell phone, i-phone or any other handheld device. All I have is an all-in-one desk top computer. Am I out of luck? Thanks again! 'luvbbloogos'.

I use Remini on my desktop through a Bluestacks. It works extremely well and allows you to save the images on your desktop. Infieldfly is probably better at explaining this process than I am, but if you aren't very good with tech stuff it can be a challenging endeavor.

Does anyone have the topps vault Otto Velez Indians photo? It seems someone uploaded it but took the photo down way back in 2015.
He played 10 games or so with Cleveland. |
