Picked up a whole set of sporting news papers from 1981 and 1988 from goodwill, of all places.
whoever had them took very good care of them and even had them in order. the 1988 issue with the hall of fame program was still intact. here are some random photos from the papers |

Here is Kusnyer in 1970, and also with the Sox during spring training 1971.

Pedro Ramos 1955 (1970 Senators)
Ramos signed with the Senators a week before Opening Day, so this could be a spring training photo. I'm not certain that the Senators wore the 1969 sleeve patch into the 1970 season, but aside from the patch, the 1969 and 1970 uniforms are the same.

The second name should be Jim Redmon, who was a shortstop on the White Sox spring roster in 1970, 1972, and 1973. The last name should be Tommy Sandt who played in the majors with the Oakland A's in 1975 and 1976. The third name should be Kelvin Moore. The same photo was used on his 1982 Donruss baseball card. He played for the A's in 1981, 1982, and 1983.

Your final mystery name, Henry Todd, escapes me. There was no one close to that nomenclature on the Tigers' spring roster in 1990. |

Ed Strelecki 1928 UIN
Strelecki is pictured during Spring Training with the 1931 Reds. His photo was printed in the 3/2/1931 edition of The Cincinnati Post.

Amending previous identification
A friend suggested that the player in the fifth photo may be Charlie Sands rather than Tommy Sandt. I looked into that possibility and found that the fifth photo is on Charlie Sands' 1976 Topps baseball card. So it is indeed Charlie Sands.

Baseball HOF
The Baseball Hall of Fame is seeking donations to support the digitizing of the Doug McWilliams photo collection that he donated to the hall. McWilliams photographed most players from all teams in the 70s, 80s, and 90s for Topps. Please consider donating to unlock these terrific images we all enjoy.

PHOTO LOCATED: Mike Ryan 1895 St. Louis
Okay, so just spent a few minutes on it and it turns out Michael Ryan became police chief of Natchez, Missouri and I was able to find his image on newspapers.com in the June 30, 1921 Natchez Democrat. He most commonly went by M. P. Ryan while in Natchez.

Nice job! I think we can conclusively say that the previous Facepack image is not Ryan. The ears couldn't be more different.
