"Andy Markham" is Nathan "Toby" Markham, a catcher who was a non-roster invitee with the Astros in 1966.

"Don French" is actually the right name for this player. That's a Boston Bees uniform and he was on their spring training roster in 1940. They wore that uniform in 1939, and it was not uncommon for teams to continue wearing the previous year's uni in spring training.

"Ronald Burts" is major leaguer Greg Harts. That's the photo used on Harts' 1974 Topps baseball card.

"Paul Smith" is major leaguer Pete Smith. I've seen a B&W version of the same photo under Pete's name.

"Chris Holbert" is Greg Holbert, a catcher who was a non-roster invitee in the 1972 Braves spring camp.

Taking the initiative from the great work Chickazoola has done to find the real Mike P. Ryan, I found an image much closer to his playing days. It was printed in the 7/19/1919 edition of the Natchez Democrat and pictures Ryan around the turn of the century when he was appointed Assistant chief of police.

Harry Colliflower 1899

Not a great picture, but shows the young pitcher with poise and confidence the year before his disastrous 1-11 & 8.17 ERA season with the 1899 Cleveland Spiders. This picture was extracted from the 1898 Oswego team photo.

Willie Murphy 1884

Here's another option for Murphy, pictured with the 1892 Plainfield, NJ team. Other major leaguers pictured included Willie Keeler, Tuck Turner, and Frank Bonner. The team photo was printed in the 8/14/1929 edition of The Courier-News.

Two Greats - Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris

It's been quite a few years since I posted any images but when I found these, I knew I had to share them. Especially the Mantle which is absolutely gorgeous. I found them posted in Facebook Group called Baseball in Pics. If they have already been posted here, I apologize for this redundancy. .

The Mantle painting is by Graig Kreindler.
