Jim Lewis - (1979) 2 games, specifically looking for the trident logo uniform here even though he played in 1985 for the M's

Pretty sure this one is a whale but anything out there of De Jesus from his June, 1986 audition with the Yanks?

Here is a photo of Powell from the St. Louis Times of July 13, 1913. According to the caption, he pitched for Branch Rickey at the University of Michigan. I've seen other articles that report he was a teammate of George Sisler there and considered as much of a pitching prospect as Sisler. Maybe there is a reason why Sisler didn't stay a pitcher and Powell didn't stick in the majors.

"Wednesday" mentioned in the caption was Wednesday, July 9, his second and final major league game. I'm guessing that after explaining to him how to not balk during the game, manager Stovall explained to him how he was being released after the game.

He died choking on a steak when he tried to eat the entire piece in one bite (a note I realized later was ironic given the headline below).

Photo of a very young Johnny Brock, pictured in 1913 while playing with an amateur club (the Alpen Braus) owned by his brothers. Photo is from the St. Louis Times of July 6, 1913. There are also some photos of him on Ancestry.com, including one of him in uniform at the park talking with St. Louis mayor Henry Kiel in 1918.

I'm not positive, but I think he started a store in St. Louis that is called Johnny Brocks, which is now a locally know store for costumes and party supplies.

Getty Images does have a shot of De Jesus with the Yanks. Unfortunately it does not show most of his face.
