Lemp Ave asserts itself. Six OL teams in relegation position.

Nice to see Silly maintaining a lead in OL Diamond while we slip lower and lower in the league.

I'll be signing off of OOTP for a while. I might log in through the app but most likely I'll just let things ride until early Jan. Good luck to all and happy holidays.

on the plus side, you get to play Waffletown 8 more times... that should be 8 more wins for you (Syrups currently on a 16 game losing streak... we might not win another game )

Tough week for the Syrups I sympathize.

On a different note, are you enjoying a warmer December than I imagine you're used to?

Gold League

Knockemstiff doubled their losses to leave the door slightly open still for any of the chasers that can get HOT.

The Shiners just added Mariano Rivera after finally managing to negotiate him down on his terms slightly. Now I have to hope he doesn't suffer the late addition blues . I'm looking forward to seeing how expensive the new Pedro is...

Diamond league:

OL standings are a mini-snapshot of the overall standings (though shuffled a bit), as three teams are in contention for the OL crown, with the Mad Brewers still leading the way (and they have the good fortune of 5 more games against the Syrups to potentially go 17-2 against them). In the overall picture, Cary and Paxville lead their divisions; Silly has the potential to make it three OL teams in the playoffs; and on the flip side, Nowhere, Brooklyn and Waffletown are mired in relegation territory.

"impressive" part for Waffletown... they already have 89 losses with 2 months left to play.

The title chase between Lemp Ave and Algoma remains tight. Both teams have a bunch of OL games left to play in the final two months.

Seven OL teams are in a relegation spot at the moment.

The final graphic today is from OL member Boston's game against non-OL Industry. It's funny, because the game wrap is all about Cepeda's 500th HR. Meanwhile, Industry's MacKenzie Gore threw a perfect game. (At least he received the player of the game honors. )

Knockemstiff look to have a pretty unassailable lead.

HelthWyzer and Seattle can definitely start preparing for a week in Silver.

Diamond league:

Silly still clings to the OL lead, but Cary has moved ever closer, thanks to the Mad Brewers Waffletown-like performance in August (5-24) and (even worse) the fact they just lost 2 in a row to the Syrups to start September (side note: can we call the season now? Waffletown has a winning record in September at 2-1 ).

edit: Cary has a 3 game set with Silly right off the bat in September. The Mad Brewers will also play a 4 game set to close the month at Waffletown. Paxville has a 3 game set versus Nowhere, and 4 games against Brooklyn; so any of the three could take the OL crown.

Overall, Cary and Paxville still hold their division leads and hope to represent OL in the post season for the battle for the lone promotion spot to Perfect. Silly has plummeted into relegation territory to join Nowhere, Brooklyn and Waffletown.

Lemp Ave holding steady at number one. Seven OL teams set for relegation. (West Burlington lost 11 of last 12 to dive into that pool.) Seven OL teams set for playoffs.

yeah, not missing the St Louis weather... still have coworkers in that area, so I get a chuckle hearing them talk about the sleet/snow coming down and the temps in the 20s/30s (though even they have been on a roller coaster of temps jumping back into the 60s/70s for a bit, which is why all the stormy/tornado weather has been popping up)....

wife and I will probably pack some snacks-n-such for xmas and drive to the beach if it isn't raining that day

Congrats to Knockemstiff!

If Coney Island manage to avoid getting anything snatched(!) and get through the wildcard, the Shiners might spare them the fate of a week in Diamond . However, the Mundys have had a very good season and are in serious danger of getting promoted!

Sugar Hill got sucked into the last relegation spot right near the end. Them and HelthWyzer will be joined in Silver by Seattle, who were just a bit unlucky to be in the toughest division.

Good luck in the playoffs! (We could do with a couple going up.)

Shiners Leave no Doubt if Gold

Knockemstiff lived up to its "city" name and laid waste the rest of OL to. Congratulations.

Any Chance We Can Get B278?

With seven teams, it would be nice to crown an OL champion. If someone would send me screenshots of the seven OL team vs. team, league reports, I'd be happy to put them together. The e-mail to use is kidheckett@gmail.com.

With 11 teams already in bronze for next week, and both my teams booted from silver(RNG jesus permitting), I'll handle bronze next season.

If they still have Van Morrison in the line-up,Them could be tough.

Diamond league:

What a finish to the Diamond league OL battle... the Mad Brewers started off with a 3 game set with Cary and took care of business, taking 2 of 3 from the Southpaws; and then moved on to sweep 4 games from Waffletown at the end of the month to give Silly a solid 6-1 record in September to finish with a .741 winning pct in OL play.

The only door left open was for Paxville to put up a similar 6-1 record in their final 7 OL games. The Kings started off as strong as can be, shutting out Nowhere in back-to-back games 5-0 and 9-0. In game 3, Nowhere got their payback and won the game 3-1; leaving Paxville with the task of winning their last 4 games at Brooklyn. They would proceed to do exactly that, sweeping the 4 game set and finishing with a 12-4 record (.750) to slip by the Mad Brewers and snatch the crown.

Cary and Paxville head to the post season, looking for that bump up to Perfect.

Everyone else (Silly, Nowhere, Brooklyn, Waffletown) will head back to Gold. Brooklyn pulled a NY Mets style 42-120 season, but Waffletown wouldn't be outdone, finishing an all-time-team-worst 32-130 (.198) with three starters losing 20+ games (21, 23, and 25)

Silver

A fantastic finish in Silver has Lemp Ave edging out Algoma for the title. A 3-game sweep of Terra Incognita clinched the flag for the Perfectos. Algoma had the league's overall best record. Seven OL teams in the playoffs with four possibly advancing. Six teams relegated.

Sweet! I kept from looking until your results came in, only to see that the Kings have snuck in the back door again . Hats off again to Cary with the best record in the league.
