Sonora High Breaks Quickly in OL S273

The Broncs busted out to an early lead, but the pack chasing them is close and large, so we should be in for an exciting race. May not be able to post standings on Wednesday or Thursday, but will try, and will catch up on Friday.

Mundys Still Lead in OL G326

Silly begins to put the heat on Port Ruppert, with five others still in easy striking distance.

Broncs Holding on in OL S273

Sonora High is setting a blistering pace, but Coney Island made a hard charge to keep them in sight.

Mundys Stretch Lead a Bit in OL G326

Port Ruppert went 9-2, while Silly fell back a little, despite a 15-8 month. Seattle, 8-4, and Algoma, 6-4, round out the quartet of top contenders heading into July.

Broncs Still Riding High in OL S273

Sonora High "slipped" to 13-3 for June, enabling Sugar Hill to gain a half-game with a 14-4 month. HelthWyzer, 10-4, Route 66, 12-9, and Las Vegas, 14-9, all fell back despite posting solid marks.

Mundys Slip a Little in OL G326

Silly gained ground from the sidelines as Port Ruppert posted only an 8-5 mark for July. The race has pretty much devolved into a two team tussle, with the Mad Bombers faced with a short schedule of just five remaining games. They are, however, all at home, giving Silly a shot at maximum effect with minimal effort. A sweep would force Port Ruppert to win 16 of their final 23, a .696 pace they have not managed lately.

The Gang Moves Up on Broncs in S273

Sugar Hill fired off a, 12-4, July to pull closer to Sonora High, which only offered a, 3-3, effort. HelthWyzer held onto third, though the Crakes slumped to, 6-7, while the Route 66 Hot Rods, 10-7, and the Las Vegas Thunder, 12-4, fought to remain in the race.

With their GM holding down the OL fort, it seems only right that the Mundys should see in the new year with the most prestigious crown on offer this week

Ouch! If that doesn't put the horns on the Mundys, there's no such thing as jinx.

Silly Making Late Run in OL G326

The Mad Brewers won their only two games in August and have just three home games remaining, to continue to press Port Ruppert, which played a 7-4 tune last month. As it stands, if Silly sweeps, the Mundys would need to nine of their final 12 games to hold on. A Mad Brewer two-of-three cuts Port Rupperts need to eight, while if Silly manages just a single win, it goes down to six, given the different size of the teams' schedules. Algoma, 8-5 in August, has an outside shot, but need the Mad Bewers to lost all three, the Mundys to go 5-7, while the Penguins win their 14 games left to play.

Sonora High Hangs On, but Sugar Hill Still Pushing in OL S273

The Broncs, 11-4 in August, and the Gang, 12-6, seem destined to battle to the wire, with each team having a schedule sufficient to spell success or failure down the stretch. Sonora High has 11 to play, seven of them on the road, while Sugar Hill has a hefty 22 OL games left. HelthWyzer, 6-6 last month, and Route 66, 9-9, both have very dim hopes, and haven't shown much jump in recent weeks.

the hapless Syrups got to play the spoiler role, sweeping Port Ruppert to open the month and make their path to the crown all the more narrow. Still a shot, but zero room for error.

We'll hang that on Tinkerman for providing the bulletin board quote. I mean, it couldn't possibly be another late season fold by the Mundys, could it?

Silly Surges, Mundys Muddle; Mad Brewers Bag Gold Crown

Silly applied immediate pressure to Port Ruppert, opening September with three straight wins in their only OL games. The Mundys immediately wilted, dropping their next four to fall from the race, part of a 5-7 month. OL gained five PT playoff spots, with one OL team already sure to head up to diamond.

Sonora High Holds off Sugar Hill in OL S273

The Broncs rode a 7-3 September to the summit of silver, while the Gang added another dozen wins to post a remarkable 80-win season, good enough only for second place. With seven PT playoff slots, hopes are high for an all-OL Series.

Any Chance for Bronze Stats?

Still hoping one of the teams in bronze will respond. Again, screen shots of team vs. team for OL can be sent to kidheckett@gmail.com. I found an e-mail from a couple of years ago, so I reached out. Perhaps that team has not shut down yet. In any event, I'll wait a few hours before presenting the McCarthy and Wooden Spoons. Good luck to the playoff teams.

Waffletown "surged" out of the OL basement in September to finish .001 ahead of Annandale (enjoy the little victories )

unfortunately, they didn't pull themselves out of the relegation zone and will head back to Silver for the first time since the 2030 season (only good thing there is, the last time Waffletown won the World Series was the 2030 season, so maybe a repeat performance and a first title in 31 years?)

edit: updated friends list to pull in some Silver teams I had to leave out in prior years to make room for Gold/Diamond.... heading over later to watch my other clubs that made the Silver post season, and continue the Beer League playoffs... thinking about trying my hand at streaming the next season of the Beer League, so if I get that setup and give it a shot, I'll post something here if anyone wants to watch...
