Meanwhile, I don't share Gelbsie's absolute requirement that a sausage should be all-beef. In Germany, if it had a pulse while alive, it can go into the sausage. But I like the sausage review segment regardless.

The Mets: "Now that Luis Robert jr. is back, we have too many outfielders."

Also the Mets: "Brett Baty should get some outfield reps."

And then the Failed Third Baseman #2 on the roster completely blows a difficult, admittedly, but surely manageable for Benge, Ewing, or Soto (on days on which he cares), or any other ordinary outfielder, into a completely unnecessary 3-run inning and another 10+ unnecessary pitches on Scott, who's already one of the most inefficient pitchers in the league.

This bloody team. Infuriating!!

I don't keep up with the Mets much other than hoping to see Stearns get fired, but the one thing I gained from this series is that Ewing is a pretty good outfielder, though he makes everything look like an adventure.

Jesse Orosco still looks pretty fresh. I hear the Mets pen has openings.

Mets trade Freddy Peralta, who left his skill set in Milwaukee anyway, to the Rays for three prospects. I'm rooting for the Quebecois second baseman slugging up AA ball, only to hear Keith struggle with the name Émilien.

As we're on it, can we trade Jorge Polanco for an *actual* tire fire? Guy's making $20M a year and is hitting a ******* buck and 32 cents!!!

I knew we were too cheap to go after Skubal, so I was 99% sure Freddy was going to come back to Milwaukee. And be good again...
