That's it up until the 1922/1923 season. 67 players missing - list is in post six on the first page if anyone has opportunity to locate them.

A player named Tyler Ablonczy imports via the historical database for the 1922/1923 season. In the database, it indicates that he played for the Calgary Tigers of the WCHL.

I can find no reference to such a player and have gone through the known rosters of that era for Calgary but see no one with this name or any remotely possible alternate / incorrect spelling of a similar name.

Does anyone have any idea who this is or if it is simply a database glitch?

Doesn't show up in the all time roster list for the Calgary Tigers at hockeydb.com, for instance (link).

I'd suggest he's been created by your game to fill up the roster.

I was not aware that could happen. If so, it's the first in 5 seasons, he appeared in a draft class.

Well, I'm not sure about it.

Just started a historical game beginning in 1922 and the roster of the Calgary Tigers looks like the attachment.
If he was a regular player he should be in there? I guess, but I don't know.
He's also not searchable in this game, and when I look at the exported .csv files (player_bio.csv and player_retired_bio.csv) he's not there either.

Haven't played any historical games so far, so I have no clue how the game's behaving when it comes to creating its own players at some point (if it does).

Could you please provide some more info? Is he Canadian, when and where is he born? Still could try to find out if he really existed.

I can post some screen shots of that tonight.

I suspect that he was added by the game engine to fill a roster as you speculate, played one season in the Western league and then was added into the 22/23 NHL draft.

I am fairly certain that this is a three dollar bill. Created in the werstern leauge to fill a roster (which i failed to notice) and then included in the NHL draft.

I had thought that this would not happen with historical mode but once in five seasons is at least tollerable to me.
