As mentioned, the mighty Henry Aaron, who ended the 1974 season tied with the babe as the MLB's all-time HR leader on 714, has decided enough is enough and announced his retirement.
All but the most cynical soul see this as a fabulous gesture and statement for the equality of the races. As he has done throughout his illustrious career, Henry shows himself a class act here. Bravo! ![]() ![]() |

I can't believe your playoff luck! Every year I think its the Beagles year, and every year, no playoff wins... At some point it has to shift. Maybe in '75 you sneak into the playoffs and then go on an all-time run?
