You can go to the editor to see the number of days rather that Yr/Days for service time.

How many seasons have you simmed? If its a healthy number, then just check some vets and see if their service time reported is not in sync with how many seasons they have played. It's possible that the "Possible Free Agents" report cannot correctly predict who's going to be an actual free agent, because your players aren't playing as many days in a season as they would in a 162 game schedule.... |

It says he's got 10 years and 78 days of MLB service.

Should I switch to 162 games?

It would seem to me, though, that in your case, if what I suggested were true, then the report would be listing players as possible free agents, who reallly weren't, not the other way 'round...
I thought you said earlier that you thought he was arbitration eligible? 10 years is a lot to be arbitration eligible... |

The simplest solution, I would bet, is to not rely on the "Possile free agent report" and check the players' profiles for who's going to be a free agent... I know in past OOTP's the "Possible Free Agent Report" did not list all players who WOULD be free agents.... |

For a 140 game schedule, you probably want that "172" to be "150", but it's not critical....

I'll just change it to 162 to make things more realistic.

Just for the record - Had the identical issue in a fictional league (162 game season).
Checked my 'upcoming free agents' page at years end and resigned the couple players I wanted to keep. FA signing time started and Bam....4 extra players gone, including my entire starting outfield......sigh. Won't negotiate w/me either. I wrote it off as a 'broken' game issue and began laboriously doublechecking every darn player, every year end......and began signing extensions to all players I wanted to keep once they had 5 years service time in. Seems the Arb Eligible tag keeps them from being listed as possible FA's....even tho they are. Only 4 years in this League tho, so still testing, would be very interested in hearing conflicting/supporting further evideence that I'm on the right track. Regardless.....'feels' broken anyway....
