Draft Signings

Cepeda is an Archer

Orlando Cepeda was all smiles after signing his 2 year deal worth $60,000 and collecting his 150k Bonus. Indy Brass was smiling too!

Trade News

Indy has made their first deal and I'm already rethinking it!

Aparacio is a major risk with the down swing in his ratings but he's still only 23 and he can run, so he will be serviceable most likley. The MR we gave up was actually penciled in as our 31 Middle reliever so we actually gave up something here!

Trade News

Hey there,
A plethora of trades to report. Many have produced starting players for the Archers.

Trade #1:We approached Baltimore about this deal. they accepted. Were sending a mediocre Starter for a only mostly mediocre MR

Trade #2: St Louis made us two offers with Vic involved and we accidental accepted this one and may regret it. However Janowicz is far and above better than any catcher we have on our roster so we have a starter now!
Trade #3:We found Adacock on the trading block, asked what it took to make it happen and viola, we have a starting LF and cleanup hitter now

Trade #4: Kerr was also found on the Trade Block and it is the same scenario as above although he will bat second in the order. Kerr players 2B/3B and SS equally well and adds some versatility to our roster.

Trade #5:This deal reverses deal #1 and I'm not 100% sure how it happened! LOL I think we got the short end of the stick in this one!

Were gonna stand pat until spring now barring offerers coming in from other teams, but we will not be seeking deals.

Saw Cepeda play in 1964 at Connie Mack Stadium when he was with the Giants. Tremendous player! He hit 31 homeruns that year, hitting over .300!

Week 6

It's a good news bad news week. We had a nice 4-2 week with some strong Pitching from the usual and an unexpected 2-0 week from Herm Wehmeier getting his first marks in the win column with 2 complete games. Cepeda wing Rookie of the Month for May. Both losses this week were close games.

Joe Adcock ruptured a disk in his back and will miss the rest of the season. Joe Zardon gets called up for bench support and Jack Daniels will get Adcock's PT in LF.
