So---------- faster/much more expensive per GB/less reliable vs slower/much cheaper/more reliable. I'll take option 2 please, and live with a few milliseconds slower response. That is what makes a market--choices.

The only limitation that I've noticed, is that optimum resolution on my laptop is 1366x768, which still leaves portions of the screen cut off. I miss my old desktop with it's high def 1920x1120 display.
This was such an issue for me that I went to Best Buys and got a 21" monitor to pull into my laptop when I'm at my desk. I like the portability of a laptop but the monitor/set up of a desktop....kind of both worlds now.

With that Toshiba I linked you can. One of the display options is for wireless TV.

Macbook Air

Let me shift the question to the Macbook Air. It runs at 1.8 GHZ with turbo boost to 2.8 GHZ.

Anyone running OOTP on the Air and how slow and painful is it?

But with that laptop and either a modern TV or a connector box you easily could!

See, I can't seem to do that. Even though my desktop bit the dust a while back, I've held onto the monitor (because it's pretty awesome) partially in hope that I'll get another desktop, or find a tv tuner thing for it. However, when I plug my laptop into it, my screen resolution is limited to what is on my computer... If you can tell me how you do it, that would be so cool.

The resolution comes from the videocard. Control Panel/Appearance/Display.

Thats correct but with everything turned on like game logs thats a lot of data to crunch after 100 years of simming. I do agree it will run it maybe the question will it run it fast enough for that person's expectations.
