Try it with WineBottler. I've had mixed experiences with it but hopefully it works for you. I would try it but my hard drive crashed and Apple is still taking it out and putting a fresh one in.

I'm not a big fan of using those types of utilities...maybe one day there will be one for mac

Yes, that's what I was suggesting. For example using a Red Sox "B" logo with approx. 25% opacity as a background to main logo. For international (WBC) logos, the nations flag could be used.

Just tried to use this with Wine and it did not work. Then again, nothing I have tried with Wine has worked.

That's right, now you can create logos too.

There are 2 styles (Simple and Glossy), 2 borders (single and double), 3 shapes (circle, square, and Rounded corners), and 54 patterns.
That's 648 possible combinations.

Easy to use

Select a folder with prepared images (transparent). You can find many here in this forum. I recommend cephasjames huge collection. Then select style, border, shape, and pattern preferences, drag the eyedropper for color 1 (background) then drag the eyedropper for color 2 (text color), then save the logo.

You can also set the default logo folder and save folder.

This program is freeware and I hope you find it useful.

but if the community could add more options to this how cool would that be?

I don't think that's possible. Unless you wanna write some code. I have to use GDI+ Graphics to draw shapes during runtime. That's why you don't see any complex shapes here. It would be nice if I could just import vectors.

Updated: Version 1.02

Now finds .png, ,jpg, .gif, and .bmp images in selected folder.

I think that's all we need, but if you need another format to be read, just ask and I'll add it.

Nudge buttons for that final tweak, and a slider to resize for those without a mouse-wheel. Also fix a few bugs.

I spent some time with this and decided against adding it. I really didn't like the way it was turning out.
