I cherry-pick my historical uni's from collections compiled by Gambo, No Pepper, and reds1. Gambo only posts his stuff to OOTPmods.com. No Pepper seems to have done so in the past but now has his latest stuff available from links in his signature. reds1 never posts to OOTPmods.com and only offers his uniforms in his signature. Go figure!

Unfortunately, I don't have to wait until tomorrow. I played OOTPB for several hours, purposely ending and restarting the game to test a theory. Just now, I saw that the St. Louis Cardinals had reset to default uniforms again (see my previous threads).

My buddy's suggestion was to see if "the graphics folders within 'saved_games' are checked only after the save folders in the parent game. And if the graphic in the parent folder is different than the 'saved_games' folder of the same name, then problems happen." To get around this, he proposed that I "REMOVE, or less destructive, RENAME the corresponding file related to the one in the folder of the same name in your 'saved_games' folder and see if anything changes?"

That rang a bell because, as you saw from my samples, I am using a modified historical MLB setup in which all of the team names are the same as those of today. So, could I have been confusing the game by loading different uniforms than the modern ones in the default folders?

The answer is "No." I removed all of those modern uniform files and I was hoping that would do the trick. Until now.

My historical-fictional league is on hold. I really hope this gets fixed in a patch to this version. Meanwhile, I will think about a modern-fictional league in which I can use the canned uniforms.

Seems a shame that I cannot use some really fine uni-mods. I am not alone in my disappointment.

Actually, I have it on good authority that you blame the wrong guy.

None of the uniforms in my EBL, CBF, IBL, *** or minor leagues for most leagues are resetting. Only CBF Single - A, the Australian league and Tatooine league and about 5-7 MLB teams reset. i checked the lock option for every teams and it is unchecked almost daily even for my EBL teams including mine, but not every restart.

I expect this will be examined for the late May update. Hope. And while it's a bit annoying, it's easily remedied, reselecting the uniform when discovered and using the update this team's pics now option. I see no reason for it to prevent play or cause a league to be put on hold, but to each his own.

Except:

• It happens unpredictably but regularly. Could be daily, depending on how often one plays.
• One must constantly check each team because not every team resets uniforms at one time.
• One must remedy as you say.
• Otherwise, somebody could retire "in their pajamas" and the fix for that is not so easy.

Your last point is pertinent. I wasn't looking long term. That would require undue diligence to ensure accuracy, you're right.

It turns out that my problem was being caused by my naming my minor league teams the same as the parent clubs. So, for example, all of the Cleveland Indians teams were named "Cleveland Indians (AAA)," "Cleveland Indians (AA)," and so on.

Apparently this was confusing the game when I would visit a minor league player and it checked on the uniform (I'm speculating on this). Finding none, it would create a default uniform which would then be applied to the parent club because the team name was the same.

The solution was to simply rename the minor league teams so that they all had unique names.

Just checked all of my leagues/teams and no two were the same. Still having this problem.

Yes, I was being lazy. Technically, I'm not even supposed to have minor leagues in 1908, but I did not want to work with a reserve roster. But to have the Las Vegas 51's and Lancaster JetHawks and other modern-sounding/looking minor league team names/logos didn't sit right, so I decided to just name every team the same in each organization.

Yes, unfortunately I knew that my solution was probably not applicable to the rest of you guys. I have two pieces of advice:

1. I posted my news in the Bug Report Thread. You may want to follow up there as well, to advise them that you are still having trouble.
2. Try to "think outside the box" a bit. Do you have something unique about your setup that could be causing the problem like me? Not that it's your fault, however. OOTPB should be able to handle all types of customization.

You have to go in your jersey file and delete and files the AI auto loads after you've created them. Just keep in there exactly what you need. Home/Away

I've had a sort of similar issue.

instead of the uniforms resetting they are starting out all white. I'll have 10-15 teams in my 44 team world whose uniforms are all white at the creation of the league. I didn't consider it a big deal since I use the nickname project and change everything anyway but I guess maybe it is a bigger thing.

Team colors are all still different it's just a uniform thing. The uniforms don't reset once I change them. I use a non standard file path with only the uniforms for the teams though so maybe that has something do with it.

I dont have this issue and mine still reset.

I already knew that if you have 2 teams with the same city & nickname they will use the same jersey,
