2015. It's a 16 team league, tho I'm also going to try a 24 team league. Does it matter if the league is setup for just one region, i.e., Minnesota? I'm using all Minnesota teams and thought m problem was that this may limit the random debut players to just Minnesota born, which aren't many.

Not sure if this will work, but give it a try. Start your league in 2013 or earlier using the setup you described. I have a feeling your problem will be solved.

OK, I'll try that. Thanks.

Make sure you have the "use historical rookies" box checked as well.

As a fictional you would also need to change the games DB to historical. I can screenshot that in a few if you don't know how to change the DB.

I checked that box. Do I change the DB in the advanced settings when creating the game? I'm almost done setting up the league and that DB Folder box/option is grayed out. Is this done somewhere else or am I too far along in the league creation process?

I just ran a quick test. If I set up a fictional league in 2015 and try to import random debut rookies at season end, it doesn't work. If I start the same league in 2014 and select import random historical rookies, it works.

That's strange, possible bug in OOTP 16? I'll try using 2014 as my start year. Thanks for your help.

It worked!! Though the first draft pool was pretty heavy with very high potential players. Also, the random debut players all came out with "fictional" facegens, not their actual facegens. So I think I need to figure out how to get those facegens into the league. Progress. Thanks again.

Have you downloaded the historical facegen mod from add on Central?

Not yet, but I am going to. I assume that should fix my problem with the random debut faces.

Once you download it, I'm not sure if you will have to do something to make the historical facegens replace the fictional ones you've already created. I know they will show for any new leagues you start.

I kept a copy of the league as a base copy and used another copy as the mock version. I'll make another copy of the base and use that with the historical facegens.

I'm getting random debut rookies in the first year player draft, but there are way too many coming in each draft. The league is 24 teams and there are a dozen 80 potential players and another 40 or so at 70+ potential. And many of them have overall ratings in the 60s and 70s. I haven't used Spritze's DB yet which I understand would bring down their initial overall rating, but is there any way do reduce the number of random debut rookies coming in each year? I wanted a sprinkling of them in the draft, not a flood that takes over the league. More progress, but still not there yet.
